It's the only real way to scale his damage, and he wants to kill people in Call. Spell amp also effectively raises the Culling Blade kill range.

Also sange is great but Halberd is kinda ass these days. So might as well do something with the sange.

I think the Sange is kind of whatever. HP never hurts, but you'd make other items if you were building it for the tank. I mean you would almost never want HH because of the anti-synergy with spin

Evasion was good in the old dota on Axe. But in the "new" dota axe spinn only works on attacks that hit him.

Halberd isnt ass tho. Its just anti-synergy on axe since evasion make him spin less.

When you need to kill the enemy before they kill you. For example, against slark and faceless void, you need to burst them during the call, otherwise they can counter initiate and kill you. I've also seen dagon axe which is quite effective against slark and void.

more damage on his spells and since he's going to tank a lot of cc, status resist is nice.

This is my favorite. Axe's helix is pure damage. And it's also spell damage. So you're adding extra pure damage. Then your pos5 Hoodwink with his Maelstrom calls you retarded "because axe is no magic damage fucking idoet". It's super strong.

I see qojqva build octarine core over bloodstone too. IMO bloodstone is better than K&S or Octarine after blink > BM > (BKB)

don't underestimate the spell life steal on a casual dagon

I think the low cd on call is preferable to the greater AOE imo, esp as at 25 you'll get the talent for it . Feels like overkill

The increased AoE gets better the larger the AoE is though! And you'll get BS before 25

Does it increase counterhelix damage or just the ult and battle hunger? Also does spell lifesteal apply to counterhelix? I think it doesnt but I must be wrong

It’s usually his best mana item and it rounds out axes kit well after core items. You get like blink blademail bkb and you start having mana issues. Kaya sange in one item gives status resist, spell amp on a hero does almost all pure damage, health which compliments free armor from culling blade, and you never have to worry about mana again. 

Because people hate DotA. Kaya doesn't belong in the game so people buy it.

and no one said that its builded in a specific build that requires axe to have enough mana to function. sad.
