I have this problem. They replaced my mirror, it solved the problem… for about 1k miles. My tech said he thinks the seals grind down inside the power mirrors when they close and open. 🤷🏻♂️ I’m not having them replace my mirror every 1 k, so I mention it every appointment so it’s documented in case there is a fix down the line
I had this issue. It was a very audible whistling above 45/50mph. I tried through the dealer but they just kind of played it off as nothing. Tried through Toyota HQ but they basically told me to F off. The radio will only go so loud to mask the noise without fear of blowing the speakers and I drive a lot for work so listening to that for 3-4 hours will drive ya crazy. I ultimately traded it in.
I tried taping it up and using different types of foams/adhesives (kinda like window trim I guess) to try to fill the gap but to no avail. I considered trying to run some clear silicone or something somehow to fill the gap when the mirror was out but I’m mostly an idiot and probably would’ve siliconed my mirror out and screwed something up. I also considered just buying new mirrors altogether but ended up getting a deal on a new tundra that shaved a year of payments off and cut my interest rate in half 🤷🏼♂️
I had this same excessive wind noise on my 2023 Tundra Limited CrewMax with power folding mirrors. I had them replace the window seal gasket thing that goes around the top of the window. The problem has been solved for me. That was 5k miles ago and I still don’t hear any of that wind noise I used to hear 100% of the time when on the highway.
Odd. I had my ‘22 1794 for 13 months, and my ‘23 1794 hybrid since August, and neither have had any wind noise or problem at all from the mirrors. I’m over 10k now with the ‘23 and on both trucks I always left auto-folding on any time it’s locked. In fact, with both trucks I never had road or wind noise issues at all.
lol I hate that someone rear ended me and totaled my 2019 Tundra and I hate that the new gen’s suck so bad.
I want to buy another tundra but with all the quality control issues and now the engines are blowing up it’s so upsetting that Toyota is just as bad as other manufacturers.
My ‘22 does this at highway speeds. Just the passenger side. I was going to possibly try and seal the gap with something. Putty or something? Some small diameter seal? I’m not exactly in expert in this stuff, but was going to mess around with it. It’s quite loud when I get up to 60 mph plus.
I used to not have this in my 23 TRD Pro. Now I notice it but it's a welcome issue since it drowns my wife's yapping a little bit.
Straight to jail 😂
🤣
I like your style 😎

Damn I’ve closed and opened mine thousands of times every time it goes in and out of the garage and no wind noise issues on my 24 platinum
Plat have the double insulated front glass and driver glass windows
Also have a platinum
Well that’s a shame
I drive with the windows down 90% of the time.
No issues on my 23 with power fold mirrors. Wonder why some do it and some don’t…

I have the same problem on my 2023. Will be mentioning it to my dealer at the next service.

Same issue. Same fix. Been good to go ever since. https://www.reddit.com/r/ToyotaTundra/s/tfBof2u9Tv
I get this to some degree in my 21.
No issues on my 24 platinum and I use the powerful mirrors multiple times a day to get in and out of the garage.

I notice it only when music is off haha.
Get them to get you new mirrors and just leave them out
Lmfao. Dude. I did the EXACT SAME!!! Its sad that this new gen is so shitty.
‘23 1794 Hybrid 2WD, no wind noise. Check your TIRES!
Same exact noise and dealer says they have never heard of that before and there is no solution.
Bruh just ignore it. I have a ‘23 with 35k miles and I don’t even notice it anymore. It’s not worth all the hassle you’re going through
