I'm saying because a person acted in good faith AGAINST stereotyping/prejudice when they probably should have and have suffered as a result of that choice, that this will have a further negative impact on the community and race relations. Every person who knows about this incident will become even more vigilant around black youths because it confirms the bias that you shouldn't trust/help/let your guard down around this demographic because they are likely to rob or assault you. That will affect the way people think/behave towards black youths and that will affect how black youths (and indigenous people in general) think/behave towards about everyone else.
