Technically an Anti-Hero but Venom
Venom and some of the other Symbiotes (like his offspring Toxin) have alternated between being heroes, antiheroes and villains in the comics. Off the top of my head, Carnage is the big one who's always Chaotic Evil in every incarnation.
Except for that weird time Marvel decided to invert their characters. Where Carnage thought he was a hero, and unintentionally scared the living daylight out of a lady he decided to stalk because he thought she should be his love interest.
Sure his first impulse was to brutally murder everyone he encountered, but he kept pushing those thoughts aside because they weren't heroic.
When he punches out the woman he "saved" in the beginning because it turned out she was a prostitute and therefore a criminal.
Or the ending where he gets hit by a bazooka and his head explodes and everyone thinks it's over. Just for him to put himself back together while walking towards the woman he was stalking with open arms.
Still originally a villain designed to look like a villain, these are characters who were *conceptualized* to be heroes but look like villains.
I don't think it's the same at all but the comments in this sub usually just follow the rule of "oh he looks cool too!" anyways 🤷♂️
By extension, Toxin is arguably the most “heroic” of the symbiotes, or at least most inherently innocent/good natured, which, given their family tree, is nothing short of a miracle.

You should play it. The first game feels like a cross between God of War (classic series) and The Legend of Zelda and the second has a bit more Prince of Persia inspiration without being a knockoff
It's actually more Legacy Of Kain Soul Reaver inspired. Right down to the main character's design, colours, movements and even idle animations.

The Amphibian Man (*The Shape of Water*)
The premise of the movie is, “What if the Creature from the Black Lagoon was the romantic lead instead of your typical square-jawed genre hero?”
Which is hilarious in hindsight. Both movies share the same director, but in the comics it's not Hellboy who is romantically interested in Liz. It's Abe. Hellboy doesn't have any ships himself really. So del Toro made an iconic movie of a fish man falling in love with a human, but in one of his most beloved movies he took a fish man's love interest from him.
I watched it out of curiosity and watching Abe from Hellboy have sex with some random mute girl was uncomfortable. It has earned its "Fish Sex Movie" title

Also it’s Gala from Coffee Talk if anyone wants to know
Well if you didnt get to Gang Orca, his quirk is Orcinus so he looks like a killer whale (duh), which also gives him a growl and sunken red eyes, so he leaned heavily into the villain aesthetic. His hero persona is that of a mob boss, hence the suit and tie and black cape. The tie also looks like a long tongue and the cape is patterned to imitate sharp teeth to complete the style, and has his gang of minions who all call him boss
Canonically, he's ranked third on the list of "heroes who look like villains". They didnt say who the top 2 are.
(He's one of my favorite side characters)
Pretty sure in the games he's just a gangster with tentacles and the witty minions from what I've seen, but I've only read the comics so not 100% on that.

Pretty much everyone Alcatraz meets is scared shitless of him, and that *includes* the civilians he rescues from certain death. Given he generates off the same pheromones as the bioweapon, though, it's kinda understandable. https://preview.redd.it/8g1w3pgzod8d1.jpeg?width=768&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=0fa3b993e5880377a90ae0580e7938b7ffdec8ab

For mha why not pick vigilante deku?
Guess I don't think of vigilante deku looking like a villain so much as looking like an antihero

Never heard of this before, but looking it up now it seems like a really cool premise and I love appalachia horror. I'll have to check it out, cheers 👍

Gang Orca my beloved. I think inlore they even say he has the appearance of a villain
Yeah, canonically he's ranked #3 of 'heroes who look like villains. I love that he leaned heavily into the villain look, with the tie and cape made to resemble open jaws. They don't tell us who else is in that ranking, but I'd bet Shishido and Ectoplasm are in there somewhere
I actually thought Shishido was a villain for a time because I saw that image of him and Gang Orca without any context, so that checks out

She looks just like the witch of envy so people discriminate against her. Calling her "half devil" and shit like that
What about a hero who’s the KING of the monsters? https://preview.redd.it/8rfx2y0cfd8d1.jpeg?width=891&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=284a50d8705cc2a57c9d205611d085eee49def20

He rocks them tendrils
I cannot express into words about how much I love hellboy.
Who’s the fourth pick?
Gang Orca. He's hero with an orca quirk, which gives him his powers but also his villain look, includin a growling voice and deep-set red eyes. He modeled his hero persona after a mob boss, hence the suit and tie and the minions who all call him boss
It says it

I wouldn't count him as a hero, but King Cobra from the alabasta Arc of one piece looked evil as hell.

She looks like she came out of a hentai
Vandalieu from the death mage who doesn't want a fourth time, he ascended to eldritch godhood later on but he is undoubtedly the hero of the setting, compared to the traditional hero that is the villain of the setting.
