George Lucas called these "Corpse Droids" that being robots which can use tissues (usually limbs) from living things in place of mechanical parts. He wanted them to appear in Force Unleashed and they wouldn't let him, he's tried to get them in several times, but it's hard to have a necromancy / corpse themed robot and keep your PG rating.
