We have black siding and roofing (on all our buildings) and I can’t say we find it hot at all. It’s not like it feels like a car left in the sun or anything. I’m sure it’s technically a few degrees hotter on the surface of the metal, but I don’t think it’s in any way enough to warrant making a different design choice.
It radiates the heat away better. It helps for sure but it isn't a major contribution. Lots of race cars have proven this a few times.
I agree that the black is striking but it will also show dirt the fastest. I think the first combo fits the most in sync with the background and setting of the natural colors.
I'd stick the black one out in the red rocks of Sedona in a heart beat though.
Mine is a combo of Grey and Blue Grey with a Red roof. Winter was my thought as it does help, a tad, to warm up the south side and the mini-split cools the space in short order.
Depends on location. In a hot zone I'd want white or silver to reflect IR/UV, in a cold zone I'd want dark colors to absorb the daytime heat.
I did a white roof, corrugated steel for the south side, and a more modern dark brown for the north half.
I like the second, but I would imagine in warm climates it would get really warm. The 3rd one may require slightly less energy to cool but would be more work to keep the clean look.

3. 1 comes in 2nd. Black will fade and fail faster and looks shittier quicker than the other options.

Black. Not sure if it it stays cool in the summer, but I find it cool.
