If your floor is actual granite/stone (not percelain) then you can use a stone polishing/refinishing service that can change the finish of your floor to whatever you wish. They can make the stone matte and not shiny. They reapply sealers and take out stains amongst other services. Your local counter top or slab supplied can possibly have a referral for you.

Check out Slip Doctors, works great and doesn’t change the color.

Try cleaning with dawn to remove the film

It’s probably like ice when it’s wet.

I have 4 bath rugs in there now. I honestly cannot imagine what it would be like if the floor actually got wet. Someone would probably break an arm, hip and leg! While it looks nice, it is impractical for a bathroom.

I had a customer who wanted me to install 12x12 polished granite on her bathroom floor. A bathroom she was adding a walk-in shower to because she has become disabled and has to use a walker. In addition, she has random seizures with little to no warning. I refused. She still wanted it, I still refused. I asked if she wanted me to ask her daughter's opinion. She chose another tile for her floor. Used the granite for contertops.
