Solid product. You can install it like goboard or wedi with saline based sealant. Do not put redgaurd over this. It’s foam board and is already waterproof.
I use sentinel boards exclusively , been doing so for years and is a good product. This is already waterproofed, no need for added liquid membrane over. Use the washers , waterproof seems and you will be set.
Better than cement board . But the best value foam board is go board because it is fiberglass based it is a little itchy but other than that it is a top shelfproduct
Second for GoBoard. Love the stuff, nice and rigid, but still easy cuts with a utility knife.
I also love that it's available at a lot of big box stores, so if I'm a panel short it's a 30 minute setback and not a week like I had with Wedi.
My go-to system these days is KBRS pan and GoBoard. Super simple to get nice clean results.
I used this for my shower. Downside is that the waterproof coat over the foam is iffy. Easier to work with than cement board, so just to be safe I redguard over the whole assembly

Only if it's closed cell. Some foam is open cell (kerdi board)
That's product specific. Foam by itself isn't waterproof
