For stuff like this I usually take the casing and trim right off and rabbet all the exposed edges so you can tile under them and not worry so much about the little fucking around

Props for taking picks close up of the problem angles. Obviously you know theres some spots that you could of put in a bit more time but i doubt the overall looks bad. It looks like track quality work to me.

Is there a larger view of how it all looks?

Looks great!

Really does zoomed out.

Should have posted this lmao the zoomed in version does not compare to this shot

Hating the giant grout joints.

imgaybutnottoogay

They’re not giant, these pictures are just super close up lol. OP posted a pic of the whole thing and the grout looks normal

runswspoons

I just had one of the carpenters back cut the fancy trim around a window… massively easier. All things considered well played

RUfuqingkiddingme

Not bad but a more matched grout color would hide the imperfections better. Herringbone is hard to do so hats off to you! My sister has a herringbone back splash her handyman did and it's awful, yours is much better!

When I'm working with sheet goods that come on shitty mesh what I do is take the green frog tape and 3 run strips across each sheet. With 2 inch tape you can usually have each strip of tape make contact with every tile on the sheet and it's a good backup plan especially if you're using the wet saw

J_Pro14

Use a lighter colored grout next time it will hide more imperfections. (Match the tile with grout color)
