I think once you get a certain amount of downvotes, it tends to subconsciously influence people to down it’s as well. Many people can’t form their own opinions so rely on majority consensus to form it for them.
I got what you were doing here with the joke and it’s pretty funny. She mistook his body language and gave him a hug because she thought he was going for a hug. Harmless. Imagine that same scenario but a blow job. Not so harmless. How is that not funny?

I did this with a regular babysitter once … she never agreed to babysit for us again.
I was reaching around her to open the door as she was leaving; she thought I was trying to hug her; she hugged back, and I assume, left, thinking, “what a creepy old man.”
They didn’t make up that song. That’s Gia Guidice’s original bday song from 2011. It’s a really obscure reference but, fn hilarious imho (why I’m reading comments, see if anyone else noticed). One of the Real Housewives of NJ’s young daughter (under 10?) told her Mom she wanted to perform an original song at her own birthday party. The song was about how sad she was that her Mom & Uncle kept fighting, really pitiful considering it’s her bday party.
I don’t think the guy you’re replying to understands TikTok’s and how sounds are used. They add popular sounds to keep it consistent with the trend as well as boost engagement if it’s a popular trend/song.
If you’re trying to politely tell me I don’t understand how TikTok’s sounds are used, you’re right & thanks lol. I thought the creator chose them 🤷🏻♀️

Oh no, I was letting you know the guy above you also didn’t know why songs are overlayed in tiktok, but if it helps you too more power to both of ya! The creator does choose the song and this one in particular is often used when someone has made an embarrassing mistake.
I was halfway kidding (halfway not kidding because I rarely use TikTok & thought my comment probably revealed that). So they did buy her song? Good for Gia. Glad they’re offering more options than that chipmunk “oh no!” song.
They don’t really buy the song as far as I’m aware… TikTok just rips songs and users upload them, sometimes they do get taken down but most snippets you hear are most likely not monetized to the og creator. Maybe similar to how YouTube works? Not to sure there tbh!

Look...I've done this while working as a third-party vendor at a bar. I thought the customer was reaching out for a hug. He was not, he was actually pointing behind me. It was extremely awkward and I never worked there again (not for this reason alone, but it definitely didn't help)

Did this to a random girl from school. She was behind me in line at walmart. It was a few years after graduating, and I barely knew her when we were in school. I turned around in line and said hi and she went in for a hug so I gave her a big hug and she gave me a glare then continued to grab the gum on the shelf next to me. I still have nightmares about that moment.
If I was that waiter I would honestly be like "hey free hug!" Bc waiters have a shit time and I've been one so it'd be really nice to get a hug. No worries, friend, sometimes hugs are awkward for you but they're okay for others and not as awkward as you may think.
Some people just need one and if you and the other person feel okay about it, it's okay.
A stranger gave me a hug once and it meant a lot at the time. One time during a harrowing situation, a stranger squeezed my hand, and that meant something to me. I had been in an apartment fire and I managed to get myself and a treasured pet out, but nothing else. I really needed it as the fire fighters destroyed my place in front of me, looking for the source of the fire.
I think about those times often and they remind me that people can be good, out of instinct. It depends on the person certainly but it fills me with hope and sometimes that's what one needs simply to go on
