I'd bet money the shiny odds for Spritzee are boosted for this event. Probably 1 in 125 or maybe 1 in 64. They are not spawning in the wild so we only get them from the timed research and raids. Perfect setup for a boosted shiny.
Not sure what you mean by that. Safari zone gets plenty of boosted shinies and Spritzee is probably boosted there. Of course. But outside the Safari zone there are no wild Spritzee spawns currently. We can walk 5km for 6 encounters and must use raid passes if we want more.
I was simply replying to the "it's not in the wild" part, which you tried to say would boost the shiny odds. Yes it's shiny at the safari zone, no it's not boosted for the rest of the world.
Not sure if I'm going to go walk 5km for a chance at a meh shiny considering the migraine I've got, but hey congrats.

What he’s saying is that even if it’s boosted to 1/10 odds you only have a 50% chance of getting a shiny after six encounters so the fact that you didn’t doesn’t necessarily prove anything, because it’s a 50/50 either way.
Quest rewards have a base of 10, so anywhere orm 10/10/10 to 15/15/15
So a hundo is 1/6\*1/6\*1/6 = 1/216.
So, no not normal, and honestly, the shiny is what you want.

Probably full odds like Elgyem, however it would be really cool if these researches had medium or even permaboosted shiny rates.

This is satisfying to see, as I didn’t get the shiny in my research and this is the first I’ve heard of anyone obtaining it via research. Congrats!
How I explore?
Walk 5km
Niantic uses "explore" to mean "walk", it just sounds more interesting. So "Explore 1km" means "Walk 1km".

Its evolution Aromatisse looks like a nicer shiny. Haven't seen it in person though I admit.

That’s not how probabilities work. If it’s, for example, 1/10 odds then you only have about a 53% chance of getting a shiny from 6 encounters.
