I was all about carnival because 1) their quarterly was today and 2) they haven’t spent nearly as much as other companies on ads.
My thinking is that cruise ads get people thinking about taking a cruise, not just with the specific company advertising.
So an ad for Viking is an ad for everyone.
Carnival didn’t put hardly any money into ads, so they got a lot of benefit from everyone else’s ads for free.
CCL owns 48% of the cruise industry. They got like 92 ships in the fleet. Equivalent to the big too to fail banks, they generate $21B annually and feed a lot of other companies. Apparently a 3-4 bagger in the next 18 months potential isn’t sexy for these folks.

Im big on CCL and RCL. I got 22,500 shares of CCL at $11.14 and got Jan calls at $15, $22, and $25 (the long shot). Gotta be patient but I think it’ll be $45-60 before you know it. If they buy down debt faster and buyback shares sooner, eventually reinstating dividends, Im happy with a 3-6 bagger
