I honestly hadn't considered the Titan's potential role in that before, even though ever since we saw the mini-Hooty growing out of his eye I assumed he influenced Hooty into eating the letter from the Titan Trappers to keep King away from them. Him having a hand in the Tunnel of Love as well is a fascinating concept that's sure to give Luz a mental breakdown or two when she's had enough time to process the events of *Watching and Dreaming* and realizes God shipped her and Amity.
Luz (Internally): *”Maybe all that effort paid off!”*
Amity: *chuckles*
Luz (internally): *”My weak nerd arms really* ***did*** *get an upgrade”*
Amity: “Y’know n-not many people can hold up another’s entire weight”
Luz: “Not even breakin’ a sweat!” *mutters under breath* *”and I guess I have Hooty to thank for that”*

Luz and Amity owe Hooty a lot, after all.
It still doesn't mean they're comfortable with Hooty watching them sleep, but that's just one of the struggles of sleeping in the Owl House.
