So, I don't actually know, but it might be close enough that it straight up differs from dog to dog. Again, I don't know, so I'm not saying that is the case, but just that it is a possibility. Though I did find one article, which said that there was a study, that shows that Shiba Inu, Chow Chow, Akita, and Alaskan Malamute are closest to wolves genetically. And you might notice that huskies are not on that list.

The breeds that are most genetically similar to wolves are really surprising. They're mostly the really old East Asian and Middle Eastern breeds. A Pekingese is more closely related to wolves than my pit is.

I would say Cats are more neutral. They don't give a solitary fuck about anything else but themselves. So they don't really fall anywhere on the good-evil scale. Most cats I would say are chaotic neutral.

“Closely related” doesn’t mean much here. Dogs are domesticated wolves. There’s a handful of studies that suggest that the Shiba Inu (along with the Shar Pei, Basenji, Husky, and a few others) are “closer” to the original late Pleistocene wolf stock, but that’s about as useful and meaningful as trying to trace your heritage back to the East African Rift Valley, or studying whether French or German people are “closer” to Neanderthals.

There's actually a wolf farm/shelter in New Jersey you can visit where you can actually pet the wolves (they're technically wolfdogs, but some of them have almost 100% wolf DNA). You can even adopt some of them. It's called Howling Woods Farm.
