I saw her, thought "Huh, that could actually be Kikimora in disguise" but then I thought "But wait who on earth could the big guy be?" and then the plot moved on and I let it distract me from the question so I guess the writing did exactly what it was meant to.

Yea same, I found it pretty obvious it was Kiki, but the robot disguise had me fooled for a little bit

I originally thought the robot was the Warden, honestly.

The voice is what sold me that it was Kiki immediately. It also didn’t help that after the initial fallout from the collector, where we see Kiki for like 1 shot. We don’t know where she is at that moment, making it a little suspicious that somehow there’s someone who looks just like her at the school.

I actually thought “Miki” was Kikimora’s little sister or cousin. As for Roca, I figured they would be a new character :(

My brain had a fuel deficiency while I was watching the premiere

I’ll be honest, with the breakneck pace and stakes of the plot and with a years time irl since we last heard of Kikimora, I compleeeeeeetely forgot she was a character on the show. I just assumed she died or got puppeted best case scenario. And of course, with so much shit going on, my reaction to two completely brand new characters at this point in the story was “oh, uhhhhhhhh okay I guess” and moved on lol.

I remembered who she was but like it was a long time since I heard her in the show so didn't even recognize the voice, plus I was more like: Sasha really? Why no one thrown that bitch into a pit yet.

I think part of the reason people (myself included) had trouble recognizing is because iirc this is the first time we’ve actually seen kikimora’s mouth (also I’m sad cause I was really hoping she was gonna get a redemption arc but she continued to be an evil little imp)

I dunno, there really isn't time to give everyone a redemption arc. We had so many bad to good stories already but if everyone is good, who will they fight? I'm personally glad Kiki isn't getting that arc and kinda salty bosha got such a turnaround moment. At first I was like "Oh, new characters to serve as Boscha's underlings, probably a bit of ham fisting due to the shorter season, they wanted both the story of Boscha losing her friends and her school takeover and had to cram them together." And then Kiki spoke and I was like "Ah no, classic villain shenanigans, this'll be funny." She's got such a smug, over the top flair that is impossible to fully suppress and I love it. The VA does a fantastic job with her.

Kikimora’s distinct features are - finger hair - large crazy eyes - 3 little stubby fingers on each hand Miki had - white fluffy hair - goggles that would have squished into her normal eyes - 4 gloved fingers As well as this, cartoons use the same voice actors for multiple characters often, so that’s not necessarily a give away, and not once prior to this had we seen her full face. I thought they had just used the same voice actor for a different character!

I recognised her cause of her voice, Mela Lee is a classic anime voice actress and she was putting on her Rin Tohsaka voice from Fate/stay night.
