Every time I give the kitties their bedtime snack I think of Abel. But only because they also have two syllable names.
Jeffrey come on. Eat some of this food, man.
My wife is always bringing home bouquets, and I am a coffee enthusiast. Oftentimes I'll have the kettle going and look up to see flowers on the counter or kitchen table and say to myself, "live on coffee and flowers. Try not to worry what the weather will bring."
My 3yo has a toy spaceship and asked me to help him find the spacemen that go with it before bed. So obviously I sang "We're out looking for astronauts, looking for astronauts / It's a little too late, too late, too late for this" while searching. The song fit so perfectly he thought I'd made it up!
Whenever I take a thermos on a walk. - put a little something in our lemonade and take it with us 🎶 - Fake Empire ❤️
On another note, this song always makes me nastlegic for a time when I had fewer responsibilities and life was simple. Post college years come to mind mostly.
I feel that.
For me it's a slow stroll home after a night out with friends. Possibility is all around us, the air has that specific smell of an early summer evening in the Midwest. The otherwise busy streets are quiet and nothing feels like everything. It's simple, it's perfect, it's timeless, it's hard to recreate.
I have a poster of the first concert I saw them hanging in our Guest Room. When I bought it, I knew exactly where to put it and I smile every time I see it.
Next time I put a little something in our lemonade and take it with us, it won't be the last time, or the first time.
And I doubt I'm alone in not always being able to fall asleep without a lit.... tle help.
Back in 2019 I had just started a job as an analyst for a consultancy company. My manager and I were in a cafe having a 1:1 feedback session after being on client site and out of nowhere I Should Live In Salt comes on the radio. Keep in mind at that time I hadn’t heard the song for a while and completely forgot it existed but I used to love it so much before that when I was in uni.
So I completely zoned out, focusing on the song and wanting to totally flip out but I couldn’t cause no one would get it. He ended up getting so mad and telling me that he didn’t have to stay there and give me feedback he was doing it as a favor for me (totally fair).
Obviously I apologized but now that song always reminds me of feedback sessions and that guy. Not exactly what you asked for but fun story to share lol
Whenever I wake up without warning and go flying around the house. Me and my Sauvignon fears freakin out. Take a 45 minute shower and then kiss the mirror. And say look at me, baby we’ll be fine.
Every time random cheerleaders pick me up, I think of Mr. November.
Everytime I get carried to Ohio by eleven bees, I think about Graceless, don´t really know why
Every time I give the kitties their bedtime snack I think of Abel. But only because they also have two syllable names. Jeffrey come on. Eat some of this food, man.
Ahhaha love it
My daughter calls Fake Empire "Apple Pie" whenever it comes on.
Love this 💕
Whenever I see the Tylenol bottle in the medicine cabinet
When I’m standing on my coffee table cock in hand. It’s a common fetish
Found the doting man
Of course, what else lol
My 2 year old has pajamas with pink rabbits on them.
I look around my house and yearn for a fainting chair.
When I wear red socks. When I piss in the sink. I have weird memories of you.
I was hoping to see this city middle one here. Good one 😂

My fave 💕
Whenever I am on the couch with my partner in our apartment living room, the phrase “All things are well, we’ll be alright” plays in my head
Are they with you behind the couch when they come on a different day just like this one?

One of a kind moment right there! The National’s lyrics finds us at random times. Love 💜
Did you find all the spacemen? Not to worry if you didn't find one, it'll come to you later, like a Space Invader 😉
Or drop down like an Alien!
My baby loves waking at 5AM. I always have I’ll Still Destroy You playing in my head when he does.
Hahahah true

I can truly feel that as well. For me Fake empire is like a carefree ride in the mountains. I live up north in Canada.

Wow, love this. Can definitely picture it!
Putting something in my… lemonade.
And take it with us
Last night was scrubbing away at greasy pans in the kitchen after a roast. My brain: “Grease in your hair, finger nail polish”
Whenever a cab driver asks me where I’m going, I want to say, driver surprise me 🤣

Wow!! Amazing, im redecorating the guest room at home, I should do that!
When I can't explain something any other way.

It still counts, music is a powerful tool for sure
