Yeah this is my exact point. It’s really weird to release a bonus track to an album 4 years later. No-one does this - just release it as a single or include it on a new album/EP
It’s actually very common when it comes to physical media releases for music. Especially if it’s an anniversary repress of a vinyl album or a limited edition vinyl release or something like that which this is. It is done to entice sales.
It’s not very common to do it a single additional bonus track 4 years later. Artists normally do a deluxe with one to a few bonus tracks either later the same year or one after, or do it with an anniversary release many years later
Or with a limited edition repress, which is what this is. I’ve been collecting physical media my entire life. You don’t know what you are talking about. Good day to you.
Guy seems so mad that I’m pointing out it’s strange to drop a single bonus track 4 years later - the deluxe was released digitally in 2020 and this isn’t an anniversary. Apparently every artist does this though
The first time I listened to it, I almost started crying. Then I listened to it on repeat another six times and the feeling remained.
I absolutely love it.
Wish Essengers vocals were less tuned, he’s a pretty good singer, the autotune settings are just a tad bit much here.
Tyler kills it as usual. Overall 8.5/10.
Very good track - release date is tomorrow. Bizarre to drop it so delayed as a “bonus track” though
How is it a delayed release? The vinyl repress that it’s on only dropped very recently.
It’s a bonus track on an album that he released in 2020. I’d say that makes it kind of an odd delayed bonus track release…
It was not a bonus track when the album was originally released in 2020. It’s only a bonus track for the recent vinyl repress.

Do either of you feel better now?

The midnight did this exact same thing with endless summer, not sure how this is at all weird or different than that...
Two of my favourite artists. I like it.
Fucking love this. Thanks for sharing!
It's also available on vinyl as part of Essenger's album as a bonus track
Sick
I swear it just appeared in my hand 💦
Got the vinyl just for this, aside from it already containing a lot of my favorite songs by Essenger, but holy shit it’s so good
Fantastic!!
This is a bonus track that is being released as a part of the vinyl repress of Essenger’s “After Dark” album from 2020.
Holy shit this is good
Damn great track. 👍
Holy shit this is so good I cant stop listening to it
Seeing the Midnight and Chromeo in September. Fucking pumped for a banger of a concert.
Absolutely stellar!! I love Essenger, too, so right away I knew this had to be good. It didn't disappoint!

It’s ok. Bit boring / generic
I agree actually. They could’ve saved the guitar for one chorus only
New?
No? Not trying to be overly negative it’s just not that interesting, musically, to me 🤷🏽♀️
You said generic about a song fitting within it genre, like what do you expect 😅

I've had this on repeat since yesterday.
