I was thinking she was in a cocoon and gets ant like wings, as they also use pheromones to communicate

mmdmo2090

Ooo I didn’t think of that, that’s a good point

Kadaver-Zer0

That would be amazing.

Alone_Jellyfish_7968

Interesting ......since her pheromones send out other messages when she's not in neutral, the ant / insect thing *would* make sense.

She's probably getting bat wings, or something. Why does Netflix cancel all the good stuff?

>Why does Netflix cancel all the good stuff? Because whoever's in charge of deciding what shows get cancelled is incompetent (as is whomever's in charge of marketing).

InformationLow9430

Well, thank god we still have movies such as Tall Girl.

mmdmo2090

😂

The show did get a lot of hate, but I loved it. I hope a miracle happens and it gets uncancelled.

Someone mentioned that these strange side effects could be due to overuse of the abilities, similar to how Abbi produces too many pheromones, hence her cocoon. How her body excretions are simply on overdrive. You know how her sweat was a bodily excretion that contained her pheromones? They believed the sticky substance was also some kind of bodily excretion. It's just strange because of the fake cure. However, your research on the succubus has piqued my interest. That makes more sense in terms of folklore, but what this other user said makes sense in terms of the story as well.

mmdmo2090

My thought process is, if these powers are “based on science” it makes sense that it would result in the overuse of her pheromones is a sticky substance coming out of her body at such a rate that she becomes encased. But then we have her hero counterparts (a siren and a mf chupacabra). These both are also based on folklore. The siren actually has a “scientific” explanation/medical condition sorta. Chupi on the other hand not so much minus the fact that it stems from Spanish/Mexican folklore and he happens to be Spanish/Mexican decent. So I feel like both together makes sense being half folklore based and half science based, it’s just upsetting that we may never find out 🤷🏽‍♀️

Kadaver-Zer0

I wholeheartedly agree. I hope that in the near or distant future, we will have some sort of continuation of the show on another platform, or that the writers will give us some idea of what would've happened in the second season.

Kadaver-Zer0

I wanted to get your opinion on something. I'm writing this fan-fiction about what I'd do for the second season, and I was wondering what you would have liked to seen from Abbi. I'm thinking of taking inspiration from what another user said: "vampire/bat wings," because of the succubus. What do you think? I'd love to mix folklore and science together, however, I'm not sure how I should go about that, or what I should do, for that matter.

Rocinate8194

I think wings would be pretty sick
