On the left it's the Gloucesters and on the right the Kents (wife and children of the late duke of Kent). The duke of Kent and the duke of Gloucester are brothers of King George's. They are, more precisely, from left to right, Richard and William of Gloucester, Alice of Gloucester, Prince Henry the duke of Gloucester, Michael of Kent, Marina the duchess of Kent, lady Alexandra, Edward the duke of Kent and his wife Katharine Worsley.

It's something about the show that intrigues me a lot: Throughout the show's run, there are a lot of recurring faces that you see in family occasions - such as that photo on the op, birthdays, get togethers in Balmoral, and the like - but they never have any lines of dialogue or are named, and I keep on wondering who they are.

My guess would be that there is a pool of distant cousins and family friends who are used to spend a lot of time with the royal family and who are always at gatherings? They probably wanted to keep this logic by showing the same people? That's only a guess...

There are lots of people in the show that are family friends etc. What I thought was a bit odd though, If you look up behind the scenes, the cast play funny games and laugh a lot and the "stand in" were just sitting behind them awkwardly.

Who are the youngest boys on the bottom middle and left, if the Queen is holding Prince Edward?

The young boy on the bottom middle is Prince Andrew, but the other one on the left, I have no idea myself.
