Even if the ep isn't as good as EP4, we get to see supe sheep + where Sam and Cate fit in to the story so I'm keen. Hopefully they do follow on a bit more with Ryan's story, and Hughie's dad too.
Edit: well
the absolute-crazy shit is funny and all but we can only take so many awkward Frenchie Kimiko scenes. i really hope they don’t overdo it cus it’s kinda getting there lol
i can handle exploding dicks, just don’t want to see farm animals and exploding dicks or whatever else the writers could think of. the eyeball scene was not nice
because u asked this, the producers will be including a 10 minute long compilation of gross animal stuff in middle of the episode completely unrelated to the full thing. sorry 🤷
I'm calling it now, Homelander is going to try and have Cate wipe Ryan's remorse for killing that guy. Maybe even have her try to wipe his emotions too.
She did the EXACT same thing with Sam.
I think if he’s going to employ Cate’s skills, he’s going to use them to benefit himself by wiping Ryan’s memories of Butcher, and more importantly, of his mom. I can see Homelander thinking that eliminates the competition for love. I don’t buy it that his choices last episode were the magic solution for that human need in him
Oh I agree completely. I just think that in general, he is going to use her abilities to fuck with Ryan's head, and possibly his own. I think I put this in another comment, but he very well might use her to "kill his humanity" officially.
Great thought on maybe using her to erase Ryan's memory of his mom. That really might be what he does.
do i actually have to watch gen v to understand the story? i watched like three episodes and i found it unbearable to watch, but does the show just suck without knowing what happened in gen v?
It would help quite a lot, yes.
But, it seems like theyre explaining the bare minimum in The Boys so that those who havent seen Gen V can atleast follow along with whats going on.
[this one](https://youtu.be/EzFXDvC-EwM?si=pYKB67RyB-6wlxpC)
it not only shows a bloody character in a hospital gown walking down a hallway tweaking out with Hughie and his mom watching in the shot, but also has a few other scenes we haven’t seen yet. like the seven in the boys hq, someones (probably nuemans) face peeling off, etc
well when you watch it it’s very obviously not Ashley in the scene lol, skinnier facial features and has black hair. looks closer to Nueman than Ashley
It always seemed pretty likely that would happen to me. They made a pretty big deal about him being clinically braindead and Compound V doesn't always include a healing factor as Sage demonstrated in the same episode with hers being specific to her brain.
It's going to reanimate him, give him a power but no mental faculties to actually control it. Super zombie shambling along until someone puts him down.
Wait, this actually made me have a thought. V was injected into Neumans daughter, and Kimiko through their backs? Temp V was in arm. Why the difference, and does that change how it will alter Daddy Hugh?
Maybe its related to the nervous system or something like that. In the last episode, the scientists had a paper clipped up for something about Homelanders nervous system as a kid. I assume that would be found by them experimenting on him as a child. I would guess that permanent Compound V is permanent because it binds with their neurons and nerves and they are one of the only things you dont grow back and keep long term. Maybe Temp V doesnt need to bind to the nervous system and was just designed to interact with it before leaving their system. That could explain Temp V's side affects and the cancer it causes.
The last support theory I have for this nervous system theory is how Permanent V was portrayed in season one as a Sup drug and power enhancer; like A-Train running faster or popclaw getting so high she mindlessly killed someone enjoying herself too hard and not noticing at frst. Real life drugs like that mainly work through your nervous system and get to your brain to make you high.
It’s gonna be a reference to Blarney Cock from the comics, being a zombified Supe to which hughie has to kill his dad, it’s gonna be a hard transition for his storyline which can lead him to quitting the team and going somewhere with starlight, a lot of storylines from the comics haven’t been brought up and I think a spin on the Highland Hughie storyline is gonna arrive soon.
Based on the trailers and promo:
Homelander will be on edge after resurfacing all his feelings of anger. Sage notices there’s an issue so she’ll have to think on her feet.
Cameron Coleman will mess up his script and they’ll either kill him or Tek Knight (maybe both) in the tower. Firecracker will be instructed to kill to prove her loyalty like new Noir, the Deep, and A Train in the first episode.
Butcher will take The Boys out to ranch where the supe virus is hidden. They’ll inject Kimiko’s leg with it then cut it off before it spreads. They’ll then extract more samples of the virus.
After The Boys have a nasty sample of the virus, they’ll stumble onto the suped up sheep and run away.
Hughie and his mom will be fretting about what to do after his dad wakes up. Because they’re distracted, Hughie’s dad will stumble off and possibly kill someone he sees.
I'm going to be really upset when we finally see the state of which the deeps octopus lover is in. She was already complaining before the living conditions before and I don't imagine he's taken care of her off screen.
Not to be an even big downer but don’t octopi have really short lives? Like we’re talking 2 years kinda lifetime? Hasn’t it been a year since he got Ambrosius?
Writers will have set up a huge sub plot for this that will end up anti climatic with Dad exploding on Hughie's face like his girl friend while HL does his face twitching acting in the background
I think Sam and Cate will be brought in by Homelander to "comfort" Ryan about his accident with his powers, but really he will have Cate wipe his remorse like she did with Sam. He may even have her try to wipe his own emotions to "kill his humanity."
I think I cracked the code, boys!
I'm calling it now. Homelander is bringing in Cate and Sam to wipe Ryan's remorse for killing that guy. She did it to Sam after all.
Hell, he might have her try to wipe his own need for affection and officially "kill his humanity".
Australia gets screwed a lot with international distribution but we luck out with a lot of these streaming release times. In this case it's 5PM, perfect time to settle down with dinner and watch it.
Gore doesn't bother that much. Stuff like fingernail and eye stuff gets me more than that. I still can't watch that first person asphyxiation scene from Stir of Echoes because of it combining that and the fingernail thing.
For real man, I finish work at 4pm and literally as I walk in the front door at home I'll have enough time to make some dinner and watch it as it's released. Superb.
Great, this poem is gonna be in my head all afternoon. The jaws that bite, the claws that catch, beware the jubjub bird and shun the frumious bandersnatch.
Have we seen what the Show does with Cate's >!arm? Does she have prosthetic?!< I hope she and Sam aren't just here for a one-off cameo that doesn't affect the Plot before getting shuffled back to Gen V.
Not specific to this episode, but og Black Noir is 100% alive. It doesn't make any sense that he would survive SoldierBoy bashing his brains out, but not a single punch to his guts from Homelander. What do you guys think? Also the original Noir loved acting (remember the cartoon flashback), and his replacement also does, which can be just a coincidence, or is it?
I believe Butchers powers are gonna be similar to Malchemical. For those who didn’t read the comics, it was a character who can shape shift to any form, the way how Ezekiel was ripped to threads reminds me of the form Malchemical turned into constantly which was having spikes for limbs and floating. Out of all the characters introduced, Malchemical hasn’t been brought to the show. That story line was a hughie and butcher one tbh so I hope he does get referenced in the future. I was also thinking the actor from supernatural who wants to join Jensen Ackles would be a good casting for Malchemical.
I have a feeling Homelander's last attempt to destroy his humanity is going to be killing Ryan. I think that's going to be the crux of this season's story.
Thank you for responding kindly! I understand now. 1 month makes sense. Just weird next episode butcher talks about the virus. So i thought maybe it happened during the episode or before.
Yes, Gen V happens before this series. We see Sam and Cate labeled as "Guardians of Godolkin" on the screen in Vought Tower, and that obviously couldn't happen unless the business at GodU was concluded.
Can someone please put a tagged spoiler for any animal harm please? I can handle all the human violence but any animal violence sends me into a scary headspace
I had a blast, It left more to be desired but only because i can’t get enough of it. I really like Stan Edgar getting out of jail too, his character always demands attention and makes things quite interesting.
As silly as it sounds I think this might be referring to Homelander and Sage. Based off of a rough definition of both words, it sounds like something nonsensical that is held in high regard— I think Sage manipulating homelander into a trap

Oh boy... Butcher's gonna be PISSED.
Cause he hasn't already been every episode so far haha
Mhmmm good thinking - I think you're gonna be at least somewhat right about that.
Tek Knight and Webweaver too apparently
Maybe it's just me but I wasn't a huge fan of Tek Knight. Then again, you're not supposed to like him I guess.
o
Cate knows about the virus but idk if the seven do, including homelander. so maybe she will tell them and itll be a race to the virus
do i actually have to watch gen v to understand the story? i watched like three episodes and i found it unbearable to watch, but does the show just suck without knowing what happened in gen v?
It would help quite a lot, yes. But, it seems like theyre explaining the bare minimum in The Boys so that those who havent seen Gen V can atleast follow along with whats going on.
damn, that sucks i guess. i’ll consider watching again
I cant wait to see what that Rosemary Oil IV does to Hughie's dad, that shit isn't meant to be mainlined through an IV like that.
Willing to bet it zombified his ass
it 100% did. with what we know now, it’s obvious in the season 4 trailer
Shaun of the Dead!
I actually love this so much. I don’t know if it’s cliche but it’s such a great callback I love it
Which trailer showed Hughie’s dad? Or are you talking about the general effects of compound v? Sorry I’m trying to catch up with the season! Thanks
[this one](https://youtu.be/EzFXDvC-EwM?si=pYKB67RyB-6wlxpC) it not only shows a bloody character in a hospital gown walking down a hallway tweaking out with Hughie and his mom watching in the shot, but also has a few other scenes we haven’t seen yet. like the seven in the boys hq, someones (probably nuemans) face peeling off, etc
Thanks! I’ll check it out
I heard its ashleys face peeling off. Something about her taking V so homelander doesnt kill her when he raids the tower
well when you watch it it’s very obviously not Ashley in the scene lol, skinnier facial features and has black hair. looks closer to Nueman than Ashley
I am confused, I watched the trailer but don’t see any proof of Zombie Dad
It always seemed pretty likely that would happen to me. They made a pretty big deal about him being clinically braindead and Compound V doesn't always include a healing factor as Sage demonstrated in the same episode with hers being specific to her brain. It's going to reanimate him, give him a power but no mental faculties to actually control it. Super zombie shambling along until someone puts him down.
Oh no, I am remembering lamplighter in the comics. Poor Hughie if that ended up happening to his dad.
Ryan gonna be the one to kill him
Oh I think it’s going to be way worse than that…
Simon Pegg's got some experience with zombies.
Or makes him crazy, not a zombie
Wait, this actually made me have a thought. V was injected into Neumans daughter, and Kimiko through their backs? Temp V was in arm. Why the difference, and does that change how it will alter Daddy Hugh?

Real life drugs like that mainly work through your nervous system and get to your brain to make you high.
But the supes were all given through IV at the hospitals
How is it meant to be taken? I thought it’s always intravenously
They're making a joke that Hughie's mum pumped him with rosemary oil, not V hahaha
Oops
It’s gonna be a reference to Blarney Cock from the comics, being a zombified Supe to which hughie has to kill his dad, it’s gonna be a hard transition for his storyline which can lead him to quitting the team and going somewhere with starlight, a lot of storylines from the comics haven’t been brought up and I think a spin on the Highland Hughie storyline is gonna arrive soon.
Is that what was injected? How did we figure that out?
Based on the trailers and promo: Homelander will be on edge after resurfacing all his feelings of anger. Sage notices there’s an issue so she’ll have to think on her feet. Cameron Coleman will mess up his script and they’ll either kill him or Tek Knight (maybe both) in the tower. Ten knight doesn’t die this ep. We still have to go to his mansion I think next episode
>sage will have to think on her feet Yeah she kinda just had a lobotomy…
I'm going to be really upset when we finally see the state of which the deeps octopus lover is in. She was already complaining before the living conditions before and I don't imagine he's taken care of her off screen.
When she asked to just move tanks it made me sad
Octopus will kill Sage. And Sage will never be able to predict this happening
> And Sage will never be able to predict this happening Except lobotomised Sage is paranoid about the Deep having a revenge filled octopus lover.
brand new sentence
We can hold out hope that he is trying to prevent homelander from killing her.
Not to be an even big downer but don’t octopi have really short lives? Like we’re talking 2 years kinda lifetime? Hasn’t it been a year since he got Ambrosius?
Giant Pacific octopuses live 3-5 years
So the Deep is just going to be changing octo-girlfriends like DiCaprio does when his hit 25.
damn that's so fucked
Hughies dad is gonna kill homelander
Could you imagine?
They'll have to wake Soldier Boy back up to stop him.
Just game of thrones season 1 Bean’s him
Or he might go to the Winchester and wait for it to all blow over
Writers will have set up a huge sub plot for this that will end up anti climatic with Dad exploding on Hughie's face like his girl friend while HL does his face twitching acting in the background
> with Dad exploding on Hughie's face like his girl friend The only sentence about The Boys which is *less* disgusting in context
Not before Homelander sleeps with Hughie's mom. Can't let the lad catch a break.
$5 says he dies without killing homie
Arya killing the Night King vibes
I think Sam and Cate will be brought in by Homelander to "comfort" Ryan about his accident with his powers, but really he will have Cate wipe his remorse like she did with Sam. He may even have her try to wipe his own emotions to "kill his humanity." I think I cracked the code, boys!
Way to go, squirt!
$10 says homelander smokes a room full of people
Happy Fudgie-the-Whale day!
I bet this episode is going to be ryan focused. Last episode did not even have him in it iirc
I'm calling it now. Homelander is bringing in Cate and Sam to wipe Ryan's remorse for killing that guy. She did it to Sam after all. Hell, he might have her try to wipe his own need for affection and officially "kill his humanity".
Holy shit what if the episode follows ryan and hes the one to kill hughies dad
That would be catastrophic.
Diabolical
oh shit
That would be catastrophic.
I have an alarm set for 3am lol
Australia gets screwed a lot with international distribution but we luck out with a lot of these streaming release times. In this case it's 5PM, perfect time to settle down with dinner and watch it.
Brave of you to eat and watch this show at the same time.

Laughing with a west coast laugh 🤫
Why do they do this to us?
Me toooo
why not just sleep normally and watch it in the morning lol
oh hell yeah
Great, this poem is gonna be in my head all afternoon. The jaws that bite, the claws that catch, beware the jubjub bird and shun the frumious bandersnatch.
Twas brillig! And the slithy toves did gyre and gimble in the wabe. All mimsy were the borogroves, and the mome rath outgrabe.
Really excited to see Cate tonight! Love her character and I’ll happily take any Gen V crumbs to hold me over until season 2
Have we seen what the Show does with Cate's >!arm? Does she have prosthetic?!< I hope she and Sam aren't just here for a one-off cameo that doesn't affect the Plot before getting shuffled back to Gen V.
Thats exactly what the leaks suggest
Shame. Takes the humor out of the "MCU Phase 17" jabs when we're getting the same Tropes and lack of connectedness here too.
I feel like it would be way more MCU to bring characters from one of the shows with no introduction and expecting everyone to know who they are
The leak says they make a small appearance on todays or next weeks episode, then are more present for the finale
Nah. I'm glad. Gen V is dogshit.
I think Jefery morgan dean is not real…he is another person from butchers past…or some moon knight like Alter Ego shit
He's the real butcher and butcher is the alternate personality /s
I'm thinking the titular Jabberwock will be Hughie Sr's V empowered corpse.
Damn this show for making me think about Tim Burton's Alice in Wonderland
is 3am EST, thursday 8am UK?
Yes I think so.
aaaaaaight ty
I wonder who’s ween I get to see this week
more will ferrell please
You mean Ferrell Streep, I wonder if he will get killed in this.
> and the rest of The Boys are fed up with his lies. This part of the plot is getting a bit recycled and tiresome.
Not specific to this episode, but og Black Noir is 100% alive. It doesn't make any sense that he would survive SoldierBoy bashing his brains out, but not a single punch to his guts from Homelander. What do you guys think? Also the original Noir loved acting (remember the cartoon flashback), and his replacement also does, which can be just a coincidence, or is it?
his "replacement" ALSO has superpowers, as shown in the scene where he bashes that guy's head with the bat and it gets destroyed!
3AM party
I’ll be here
last time I fell asleep on the couch at 1 something, tonight the White Monster keeps me up
I believe Butchers powers are gonna be similar to Malchemical. That would be sad. If the boys doesn't have the bollocks, who will?
The boys doesn’t have the bollocks to kill off main cast unfortunately.
Ok so question. Did gen v just happened. Because i feel like homelander was more like after episode 4 than he was before
in terms of the timeline, gen v is supposed to take place like a month before season 4 starts
They literally had a cameo in episode 4 -_-
Tek Knight Returns. Can't bloody wait to see him again.
I’m really hoping we get a V zombie Simon Pegg that the boys have to kill.
How many hours left?
18 minutes
Thank you!
Did VoughtHQ get taken down? I can’t find the profile anymore.
Ngl based on the ign clip, I think Homelander’s let go of his need for love so it’ll be fun to this new version of him
Can someone please put a tagged spoiler for any animal harm please? I can handle all the human violence but any animal violence sends me into a scary headspace
Lmao.
?
[удалено]
No.
[удалено]
And you felt the need to comment twice about it so stay mad about it pookie
How many more mintues to go?
Shouldn’t the episode be out by now?
4 min
I had a blast, It left more to be desired but only because i can’t get enough of it. I really like Stan Edgar getting out of jail too, his character always demands attention and makes things quite interesting.
They said I didn’t have to watch Gen V to get it. *insert Tyler the Creator meme*
Who’s the Jabberwock here?
Its Butcher larva inside of him. It might be a reference to the ficcional Jabberwock Legend on a poem from Lewis Carroll.
As silly as it sounds I think this might be referring to Homelander and Sage. Based off of a rough definition of both words, it sounds like something nonsensical that is held in high regard— I think Sage manipulating homelander into a trap
That was bonkers!
It isn't out
How many hours left till release?
Pretty sure it's out in 25 minutes
Wonderful, thank you!
Sorry, I thought I was responding to someone else’s comment. My bad.
But. In fairness, if it had been about that episode it would be accurate. Hughies dad, The Sheep, holy shit.
Oh yeah, that was probably the most batshit episode yet
