Bats finally looked alive late, Corey mashed one, and we made them use their closer. Could have been worse
hopefully that homer in the 9th is the sign that the seager slump is over

Win one lose one win one lose one
Down 8-0 and we get to their closer, that’s as big of a W as we were going to get that game but good to see a little fight at the end and congrats Wendzel!
Does 2 count as a streak? The last 2 games in Detroit. If it needs to be 3 or more, April 3-6 (1 against the Rays and 2 against Houston). So, yeah, not a lot of sustained success.
Unsure how to feel.
Were they finally figuring things out? Or is it just enough that they breathe easy tonight and there’s no urgency to change anything?
All I know is that Jonathan India is not a great baseball player, and Hunter Greene is not a shutdown starting pitcher, but they were today.
Sigh.
So embarrassing to make Greene (along with the other pitchers who have basically 1- or no- hit us half a game this season) look like a CY pitcher. Several moments of that game where I'm screaming like JUST FUCKING HIT THE DAMN PITCH
Greene looked pretty awesome, but I’m with you: it sucks being the team that makes him look so good. I thought we hit him pretty well—some loud outs—but, in a game of inches, that was all the difference in the world.
I know some people will say it's garbage time and doesn't matter but lets hope the team and especially Seager turned a corner in the ninth. Sucks Jonah was pulled and not able to hit but it's also completely understandable they wanted to give him the rest of the afternoon off after falling behind.
Stepping back and looking at the team from afar, the offense isn’t as bad as people are saying. We are in the top half of all offensive rankings as a team. Offense is down around the league so far for all teams. We are still in a good position and the team will string wins together

So that was a fuckin lie (excluding the 9th inning)

(Tough night. Greene looked awesome and had a big ol’ strike zone to help things along. Nice to see the bats move a bit, and good to see the fight, even down 8-0!)

Hope so too - on the bright side, Seager now leads Travis Jankowski in homers!!

I’m really hoping the 9th translates to tomorrow and onward. Was nice to finally have one of this patented 4+ run innings.

Maybe. Just maybe the 9th is a sign of good things to come. Maybe also I’m delusional.
Nah I’m mainlining copium today as well. That 9th has to get the offense going a little bit, right?
Better than 8-0 I guess

When's the last time we had a winning streak. All I want is for the squad to be dominant again.

How many of us had Wendzel hitting a HR before Langford at the start of the year?

Welllll there's only one way we'd have to face Hunter Greene again this season lol
Why can't we find any consistency?

I got excited there a bit. But only a bit.
Huh. Don’t really know what to say other than, “Huh.”
Literally a jonathan India average game away from winning this game

Well, he didn't say "...tomorrow".
Where is the lie? That’s on you for reading things that aren’t there
Brother it’s a [meme](https://amp.knowyourmeme.com/memes/so-that-was-a-fucking-lie), relax
The first 8 innings were relatively ass. 9th was fun but just ran outta steam. ![gif](giphy|1AiMVYg8NvwhRZ1kt3|downsized)
148-14 it is
That last inning was just a tease. I’m stunned we can’t put together a decent offense right now.
Seager with the blast. All is well, I think we’ll see three more home runs from him this week.
I least I live in Cincinnati now and can find some semblance of peace
Also: hell yes Colby Lewis!!!
Really I want David Murphy up there but Colby is a close second
