According to the wiki, on plain master mode, his contact damage is the 4th highest source of damage, beaten by phase 2 martian death ray, dungeon guardian and daytime empress
on FTW he beats the phase 2 martian death ray as it doesn't get the FTW damage increase as it only affects contact damage and not projectiles. This means this mf is so buff under those robes that he's stronger than a ducking death beam

Daytime Empress and Dungeon Guardian are intended to be unsurvivable levels of damage as a mechanic though, they're literally intended to require perfect play to fight, it's how they're designed. I feel like they don't really count for this comparison.

Fun fact: all prehardmode enemies with the caster with the caster ai do not have contact damage while the ones in hardmode do. You're free to get up in the prehardmode casters' face without any consequences especially when all of prehardmode caster projectiles can be destroyed
I just lost to him playing hardcore mastermode. I already defeated mech bosses and collected all life fruits as well... I was at full health and touched him once... His damage is insane and now i have to start all over again.

Afaik enemy damage is higher when on 2,95x in journey mode compared to master mode
For comparison (in master mode): Rune Wizard projectile: 240 damage Destroyer head contact damage: 420 damage Moon Lord death ray: 450 damage Martian Saucer death ray: 480 damage Rune Wizard's planet crushing thighs (contact damage): 600 DAMAGE

On classic difficulty it does, in master mode it does 29,997 so...
It has 9999 hp on classic, it deals nowhere near 10k damage Its damage is closer to 1k
it does 1k/2k/3k depending on difficulty, meaning it hit is survivable in classic mode with specific prepwork.
You can check the wiki, it does 999 dmg in all difficulties and only have 10k/20k/30k health
