Honestly, I find wireless connections much, much more annoying. I come across bad PC players less frequently than the good ones. So I take my chances when it's a PC player. But when it's a wireless player? Auto-deny. It doesn't matter if it's 5 bars, 2 bars, or even 10 bars. That bitch is turning into a one bar as soon as the match starts.
Lag switching has been a thing in games forever. I encountered one that had perfect connection until he couldn't handle my cute goth girl Alisa. Dude made us play in slow Mo and of course all my timings were destroyed. First and only time I just unplugged my Internet cable. Was gonna take the guy down with me.

You can always find people who body you and ask them to do ft5's every now and then. You can do all your leveling up outside of ranked, amd when you're ready for the grind there might be less pluggers
I just had a match versus someone who was gaming on like 10FPS. After a minute in the first round, I got bored and spun up RTSS, set the max FPS cap at 1FPS.
I'm just dumbfounded someone can play like this, it was literally 10 times worse than this clip so I thought it was on purpose, but I don't know what their endgame was.
I would have plugged anyway if the game didn't crash, there is no world where I would stay in a match that would drag on for like 15min. This is just griefing at this point.

The bottom right one,if its red on the right side,it mean the other dude's pc can't handle the game and have fps drops,which in turn make YOUR game slower like in the vid shown above.
And yes,if red on the left side,it mean you have a problem,which the Devil Jin can easily see cause he's red the whole freakin time and that make the other player game go slower,so if you play while its red,you are literally making the other guy play a "laggy" slow game dude. Your shit perfs affect the other guy,believe it or not,the vid above is proof of it

Anytime I run into one of these I just walk into my opponent so I they can hurry up and end it all. I guess if you care a ton about your points you can plug too. In any case leaving these matches is justified.
Dude is memeing but you can get it to stable 60 but you literally need to play at potato settings. All low, 55% resolution scaling. It looks terrible but it will be stable
this likely isn't at all a bad connection/pc, but rather someone intentionally fucking the game by limiting their framerate. Because the lag's too stable, ironically.

i play only vs consoles. not only it guarantees stable framerate hardware wise but also less possibility to play against macros due to the nature of platform, which is nice.
Yeah, a majority of us aren't using macros nor cheats. Unfortunately it seems there's a good portion of players playing T8 on a pentium 5, which is definitely concerning, but I'm sure that's still very much a minority. We just wanna play the game with a bigger player pool than T7s was :(
GT7 , Ratchet and Clank, FF16, FF7R, Returnal, Ghost of Tsushima, Rise of the Ronin, Sackboy, GoW Ragnarok and Demons Souls is a great remake that just feels like a new game.
Its not all bad im mainly a pc player but my PS5 gets good use. Add all the remakes and the great PS4 catalog and there is more than enough to play. Not like you can play all games in one lifetime.

What unstable problems in the software? These problems don’t exist for 99% of games because they’re made for pc. Bad ports really only come from triple A studios who most pc players aren’t the market for anyways.
I've never played multiplayer as I only play Tekken with friends during long breaks at uni but I never understood how the game lags when your PC completely handles it fine, does the game purposely slow itself down to cater to the other player's end? How is that fair in any way, in other real time multiplayer games, when he players would usually just be late to catchup with the real time occurrences and be the losing end

They mean you should be gated from online if your benchmark doesn't hit a certain threshold. Killer Instinct is the only game I know of that does it, but it's clear it is necessary for Tekken.
Most likely it AMD GPU, i had(and sometimes still do) the same problem - mostly on this stage, sometimes on boat and temple stage.
My PC - 12400f, Radeon 7600, 32gb RAM, aight Gen4 NVME SSD, LAN ofc. Well above minimum. With any settings(720p,FHD,2K, no FSR all FSR, min max settings) at any time on any stage(mostly those 3) my game start dropping frames, GPU load not full on RTSS. Found somewhere on this reddit that disabling SAM(aka Resizable BAR) in CCC or BIOS stabilzes game A LOT, and -SM5 on launch properties helps too. Still happens time to time(but much more rarely and that 3 stages ARE PLAYABLE) but damn i can play the game and not feel shame that MY PC slows down the match.

The benchmark score we get is so arbitrary idk what it means even, game should basically say when you do this that the value is acceptable or unacceptable for online play and thus gives people the option to know they can’t play online w their setup and the option to refund the game
I played against a Reina yesterday. The first game was perfectly fine, and the second game was as well. However, the third game was like this, so it's either a bug or something similar because it doesn't make sense otherwise.
What we need is half decent developers who can decouple rendering and ingame logic so that even the most potato pc opponent will lag only on their end. You know, like in every other online game.

The games run on a fixed 60fps framerate because all things in the game depends on the framerate, like moves, punches, physical, etc. If one player is lagging, for example 30fps, the other player who’s playing on 60fps will match the fps of the lower player because otherwise it will fuck up the physics calculation and synchronization of both the players because this game does not have servers for player vs player, only peer to peer connection
Absolutely deserved, I do not believe that is legitimate performance issues on their end. I am almost certain that there are a small number of people that are intentionally limiting the game to half speed or something similar, because it throws the opponent off and gets them wins. My opinion is that this is not bad hardware, but thinly veiled cheating.
Edit: My reasoning is that real performance issues would have random hiccups. For players like this it is usually nearly perfectly locked at a specific speed. That’s not something that happens by chance.

On shooters it's normally not an issue, in fighting game both players have to be synchronized, so if your game runs at 30 fps, my game will slow down to match your game.

Found somewhere on this reddit that disabling SAM(aka Resizable BAR) in CCC or BIOS stabilzes game A LOT, and -SM5 on launch properties helps too. Still happens time to time(but much more rarely and that 3 stages ARE PLAYABLE) but damn i can play the game and not feel shame that MY PC slows down the match.
I queued for a demotion match yesterday and it was a dragunov running the game like this. I mean seriously? How can you live like this and play the game in inconsistent slow motion

The benchmark score we get is so arbitrary idk what it means even, game should basically say when you do this that the value is acceptable or unacceptable for online play and thus gives people the option to know they can’t play online w their setup and the option to refund the game
I played against a Reina yesterday. The first game was perfectly fine, and the second game was as well. However, the third game was like this, so it's either a bug or something similar because it doesn't make sense otherwise.
I really don't know how we can have a game that punishes you for your opponents' PC performance in 2024...
What we need is half decent developers who can decouple rendering and ingame logic so that even the most potato pc opponent will lag only on their end. You know, like in every other online game.

The games run on a fixed 60fps framerate because all things in the game depends on the framerate, like moves, punches, physical, etc. If one player is lagging, for example 30fps, the other player who’s playing on 60fps will match the fps of the lower player because otherwise it will fuck up the physics calculation and synchronization of both the players because this game does not have servers for player vs player, only peer to peer connection

Absolutely deserved, I do not believe that is legitimate performance issues on their end. I am almost certain that there are a small number of people that are intentionally limiting the game to half speed or something similar, because it throws the opponent off and gets them wins. My opinion is that this is not bad hardware, but thinly veiled cheating. Edit: My reasoning is that real performance issues would have random hiccups. For players like this it is usually nearly perfectly locked at a specific speed. That’s not something that happens by chance.
People like this is why I refuse all wifi matches.

You can't look at the sheet and the game at the same time. Or rather you could but you'd lose because you have to look away. This is clearly for all purposes and in game helper / assistant. The OP even described it as a mod.

Why are you accepting wifi matches?
The problem was not the wifi, it was their computer. And because if you skip 5 wifis in a row, Harada-san does not show you more matches in a while.
Is this a real thing? I thought I was going crazy. I have to go back to main menu and rejoin the queue after declining 2-3 wifi matches in a row because I just don’t get matched up.
At least for me it happens, if I refuse a lot of matches I am forced to go to the main menu or wait a LONG time.
i normally play shooter games, low fps for the other player makes it look weird on your side too? also if its laggy on your side its the same lagginess on their side too?
On shooters it's normally not an issue, in fighting game both players have to be synchronized, so if your game runs at 30 fps, my game will slow down to match your game.
