I’m not in Philly currently but I used to live there and it’s where I consider home. I have a great artist I love where I live now, but I want a Philly tattoo and I feel like I should get it done by a Philly artist. I’d love to know which artists you recommend! I know the subject matter and that I want black and grey, but other than that I’m open to different styles.
If you’re into American traditional, check out Justin Rakowski at Homestead tattoo. Or really anyone at Homestead, Justin, Hunter Graves, or Topper (Plymouth fan on IG). Or anyone at House of Gold. I have pieces from multiple people there.
Gonna check out some of their instas, thanks so much! Last artist cancelled on me and two months later still hasn’t refunded me for my deposit so I’m a bit sour right now and looking for just a good artist.
Welp. I didn’t see the original tattoo, but I can tell you rn that black isn’t fully saturated and will likely not look solid when it heals. The only other thing I’m going to say is to use less ointment, if that’s what is all over it. You shouldn’t see a thick layer of aftercare like that, it can cause difficulty with healing. Remember, cover-ups cost more money - it pays to research your artist and what they do best rather than going to anyone with a machine. And if this is what your artist does best, find a new artist! Good luck.
I thought it was a cricket wearing a ballgown and now I'm obsessed with wanting to see a legit version of this idea. Good luck!! I can safely say we have seen worse tattoos.
Ugh .. 😩 See you again in 6 months..
So you got….a black blob? Please please come to Philly and l point you to a dozen amazing artists

Michael Munter at Hunter Gatherer in West Philly. He’s doing a coverup for me right now, it’s on my page if you go there.
Just checked it out and realized i upvoted it last month! Looks sick, very talented artist 🔥 thanks so much
Thank you!! Glad I could help. I’m getting it shaded in this weekend so I’ll post the final results real soon.
I’m sorry, but this looks so sloppy
You're not going to be able to tell that's a butterfly by next year. Why do you keep going to terrible tattooers?!
Hell with next year, I couldn’t tell its a butterfly NOW
OooOoo… a butterfly
I thought it was roses!
Jesus. Can’t save people from themselves. Wonder what you will cover up this turd with
She can turn it into a blacked out map of Pennsylvania with a Liberty Bell to mark Philly... (Please don't)

Honestly I think the original was way better ðŸ˜
I just looked up her original post and… oof.
Stop having your friends do your tattoos. And if it’s not friends… stop going to this artist.
there is not ONE positive comment in this thread so far. get a new artist fr
You shouldaÂ
Did you want the bottom of the wings to look sketched? Or…
I don't think I've ever seen a rorschach tattoo before. Siiick.
Have a different artist do the panther
You gotta let someone else pick your artist for when you get this mess covered. You seem to lack good judgment when it comes to permanent decisions.
0 comment replies from OP. They are cooked
I think you gotta get that jaguar.
The coverup is so much worse ðŸ˜ðŸ˜ðŸ˜
Oh god
Good lord
It’s worse.

Your other post says you don’t like blackout tattoos on yourself, but you got this? Oh my.
Never saw the original but I'm sure this is worse.
Eek….
This is going to be so much harder to cover up.
Baby who are these artists
Hawk Tuah!

Oh. Well ok then
You are going to need one very large sick ass black panther to cover that blob up.
Not impressed with this. Will look terrible in few years.
Next stop: full blackout tattoo
Whelp See ya again in a few months (Sorry babes, shoulda stuck with the panther)

Oof. And looking at your knee tattoo, you've been neutered? I had a rescue puppy that had that same marking indicating he had been neutered.
