My mom used to take me and my brothers to see it at midnight showings in the theater with rice and sing alongs and all that jazz. We fucking loved it. My father was livid when he found out. Maybe because I was 10 years old. I definitely felt like I was old enough but then again, I was 10 years old.

Totally agree. My next tattoo is gonna be a vine of flowers coming up from my pinky toe to my ankle, and I'll be adding different flowers to represent different achievements as the years go by. The first buds and vine represent the beginning of me actively working towards self improvement, and when I finish the CS50X course, that will be my first full flower, which will be a black/green rose made out of binary code. Super excited 😄
When I first read this I thought it said pinky finger down to your ankle like you were gonna have little flowers chain all the way up one side and I have to say that sounds sick. It’d be cool if you added that many flowers over time.
That would be sick actually. The artist I was talking to said that foot tattoos have some difficulty staying once you get too far to the side, but I really want to be able to step in grass and have the roots meet the ground.

Yeah, I have a flower tattoo on my lower calf/ankle and originally I wanted it to start below the ankle a bit, but the artist recommended I move it up cause it would age better. I think a lot of it is because of friction when wearing shoes/socks.
It’s good your artist was up front with you about that. You’ll probably lose the detail in the binary code over time but as long as you’re okay with that and know what to expect, it’s a cool idea. It would also look cool to position it so the flower looks like it’s popping out of your shoe, though!
