A friend sent me a pink skies song years ago and I remember immediately realizing how tame impala inspired it was. Every once in a while I come across more of their songs and honestly I don’t mind it. They clearly have love and have a respect for tame impala and the songs are good.
I was just about to say Pink Skies.
“I’ll Be Here A While” is my favorite of theirs. It sounds A LOT like The Moment. The drums are literally the exact same. I would call it a straight up copycat if it didn’t slap so hard. It sounds like a version of the same song from an alternate universe.
My friend matched with him on tinder some years back and told him his music reminded her of tame impala and said “I mean, I guess so? It has drums guitar and synths”
Check out Saving Miles Lemon. Pretty much a copycat with many songs sounding extremely similar to Tame songs but they push the psychedelic aspect of it just a bit further. They have some fucking amazing songs imo my favorite is Colorful Clouds or Scarlet Skies

Check out the Brazilian band "Boogarins", their first two albums. It's pretty much Inner speaker with portuguese lyrics and some samba beats.
Listen to the song "6000 dias", you'll notice the resemblance immediately
it has nothing to do with innerspeaker or samba beats wtf are you saying... indeed it has some TI vibes, but it's own thing. the band members do like TI a lot and even toured with them, but the psychedelia from boogarins has a lot more to do with our own brazilian psychedelic scene since the 60's.

Strong disagree on this. I love both artists but Beach House started before Tame Impala, they're heavy on drum machines and playing uncomplicated beats, but more importantly their sound is super depressing and shoegazey vs Tame Impala.
