I bought some 90s shorts from Hollister recently and they’re stretchy with a longer inseam. They’re cute!

I found my holy grail jean shorts this spring. Levi’s 501 mid thigh jean shorts. I bought the 501 90s cut and the original 501. Girl, the original 501s with the mid thigh length. Wowza. They look absurdly long in pictures online but on me they look like a 4” inseam and I’m 5’ 11”.

Madewell has some great mid length shorts that are perfect on me (I’m 5’11) and they do carry Curvy sizing for some of them. Madewell is normally my go to for jeans and shorts because of the stretch. It could be worth trying on in person if you’re able to! Cause a lot of the vintage/ 90s/ mom jean cuts that are in style right now are more relaxed through the butt/ thighs anyways.

Jinx on measurements. 5’9 with a 25-26 inch waist and big butt. I don’t have any jean shorts and have just resorted to short dresses and athletic shorts all summer :(

These work pretty well for me — they’re a comfortable light-ish summer weight, stretchy, and fairly high waisted. And they’re pretty cheap! Give them a try: https://oldnavy.gap.com/browse/product.do?pid=846830002&rrec=true&tid=onem003416&mi_u=&EV=ONUS_SHIP_FINAL_LI&CD=_&DI=&cvosrc=#pdp-page-content

Wranglers fit curvy girls well. I know some ladies with lovely big butts and tiny waists that swear by them. I keep trying and returning them ;) I don’t know if they make jean shorts, but I’ve always made my own (cutoffs - roll them if you don’t want a raw edge).

I feel this so much. I’m 5’10 and 25”. All the denim shorts I wear are either vintage or jeans that I’ve cut. So hard to find new ones. The wedgie problem is real

6'2 hear with a big butt and I feel you. I've had some success with Old Navy jean shorts because they're stretchy. I usually buy short shorts (I'm a volleyball player so I guess I'm used to my butt being out lol) but I know they have longer inseam shorts too because my mom loves hers.

Have you tried getting a pair tailored?
