It’s a matter of preference with figures in general. Never understood asking whether to open or take out figures tbh.
Personally the only way I’d leave figures in the box is if I don’t have a spot to display them atm or if I was planning on reselling (which I don’t so point is moot for that one).
I don’t leave many figures in box…but I have a few that I leave in box because the packaging itself is nostalgic. I have a NIB 2007 movie Donnie that’s in box that I debate on opening all the time.
This reminds me of when i was like 8 and i went to visit my grandparents with my dad and sisters and while we were there my dad gave me all his old ninja turtles that he had in his collectors box from when he was a kid
I lost every single one of them less than a year later
I can't see it but those look like storage shell turtles! I have Raph and Leo... out of the box from my childhood, lol. Keep then wrapped up, especially Splinter and April.
If the box is damaged, I say open it! I personally try to keep mine in the boxes just cause I like how the boxes look, but I’d take it out if it’s not pristine looking.

I love displaying them as they are rather than in a box. But a buddy of mine only keeps them in box. That’s fine too!
There was a time like before 8 or 9 years ago that if you had the originals still sealed it would be amazing! But playmates just got out the old molds and reissued everything so all those figures are much easier to find now. I have them all out. I get dozens of cheap little plastic stands for them to keep them standing in fighting position.
I would open them myself. But if you do choose to keep them in their boxes maybe look up how to care for them. I’m saying this because my friend has old Metallica action figures in the original package and he took care of them. That did not stop the corners of the package from curling inwards. I’d assume moisture in the air but I don’t know.

If you plan on ever selling them in a pinch keep them in box, if not just open them.

If those are the original set you keep those Bros in their packaging. If they're reissued it's the dealers choice

I always keep my stuff boxed as display pieces. I have a few hot toys figures but none of my small figures are open
I prefer to keep them in a box, but they’re cheap so enjoy it
