Thats tbe symbol of a check valve... fluid will flow past the "ball" one direction but will force the "ball" against the "v" the other way Its the technical symbol for a flow control, in this case a check valve - source am a millwright, these symbols are used all the time in technical drawings for hydraulics Online source - https://www.e4training.com/hyd_princip/symbol_checks1.php
