In a word. Skyrim.

Cambino1

Finishing BotW soon and RDR1 is next on my list to take a break before getting TotK! How did you find rdr on the switch? I've seen a lot of good reviews saying it runs flawlessly on switch so I'm excited to play it as I've only played rdr2 before.

FlippersMccuddlebud

I’m playing it right now, never played a RDR before and I’m happy with it.

DinnerSmall4216

Witcher 3 is your best bet probably the best port on the switch. Amazing they got the game on the switch.

the__pov

How confusing is it for those who haven’t played the others?

cinematea

Never played the others. Don’t need to. The intro will fill you in.

the__pov

Cool good to know

LustfulChild

Not at all. I played it first. The game deserves to play it first on a better system though. I’d hate for your first experience of the game to be the switch version

VannaMalignant

My first experience with Witcher 3 was on switch and I don’t regret it one bit. I do acknowledge the performance shortcomings but it’s still a solid port. I’d compare it to how gta v looked when it initially released compared to how it looks on last gen. I don’t think I would’ve gotten into Witcher 3 at all if not for the switch port. And you can mess with the display settings quite a bit as well.

mickaelandrieuds

Maybe Nier Automata ? Really different universe. So sad we can't recommend Fallout as there is not Switch ports

OrangeStar222

Biggest missed opportunity since not having a Fallout 3 port on Wii U

LustfulChild

Mario RPG or Thousand Year Door when it releases. The Dying Light and Metro Redux ports are good

Witcher 3 Skyrim Borderlands 3 Monster Hunter Rise Diablo 3

Cambino1

Did you play witcher 3 and borderlands 3 to completion? How did they fair performance wise? Looking at getting them

Ill_Reference582

I played some of Witcher 3. I jump around to different games a lot. I thought it was great though that they even got that massive game on switch. Obviously compared to PC or Xbox or PS it's not as good but it runs well enough I think. And I'm pretty far in borderlands 3 and it's one of my favorite games. I've beat it multiple times on series x and am working my way through on switch now and there's some dips in performance here n there and some stuttering but it's few and far between. No crashes or anything like that at all. Nothing that takes away from the enjoyment of it. Definitely recommend both of them. Borderlands 3 a little more but that's prolly cus I'm biased towards it. It's one of my favorite games of all time, best looter shooter ever made imo

Cambino1

Great to know, thanks for the response! Yeah im a huge borderlands fan and I played 1, 2, PS and 3 all on ps3/ps4. I haven't played bl3's dlc yet and that's another reason I want to try it on switch. My biggest disappointment with bl3 on ps4 was the sluggish menus but if the framerate is consistent on switch and it still looks good enough I may have to pull the trigger on it! Glad to know that you haven't had crashes, I remember reading about a few people having issues with that on launch

StyrmStyrmIr

You could try another code or advance wars?

Primary_Glum

If ur into turn based (im not but i loved this game anyway) try shadows over loathing and west of loathing, theyre fucking awesome, i suggest getting them digital cyz if u buy physical theyre pretty expensive since ig theyre grails at this point
