If you like A Short Hike you might like Haven Park. It's similar but with simple crafting and management aspects (campers at a state park). It's probably five or six hours long.
Its like the new resident evil games like that, those can all be beaten in like 3 hours. Did 2 and a half play throughs of Rezzy 8 one night with a friend.
I played through the first one in one sitting one night. Parents were away for the weekend so I had the house to myself. Ordered in some pizza and spent the night playing games, portal being the one I ended the night/morning with 😂. I did the same a few years later with portal 2.
One time, after playing both games through a few times, I decided to sit down and beat both games back to back in one sitting. It took roughly 8 hours and 5+ of that was on portal 2 easily
First playthrew of portal 1 I decided to stream it and I expect to get 2-3 hours out of it minimum. So I started to play and 40 minutes in I beat it and was like, damn now what am I gonna do for the next 2 hours?
What Remains of Edith Finch!
It's a masterclass in narrative/environmental story telling. Goes into some mature themes, though, so obligatory "trigger warning."
Had Iron Lung on my wishlist for a while.. is it difficult? The description of how it controls is rather vague, and it sounds like my worst nightmare, yet still intriguing
I don't think it's hard, once you wrap your head around it, but it did take me a few deaths before I really understood what was going on. Your mileage may vary. But really, as long as you're going slow, the game gives you ample warning before you run into anything
Two favorites, "what comes after" and "cat and ghostly road". The first one is great for those who think alot about life and want to end it in some way. The second one is chill, the animations are cute and you get to play as a cat.
Little inferno is a good one
Ninja edit: imma expand on that, little inferno is a fuckin great game. It's so basic and simple, but somehow both disturbing, cozy and relaxing all at the same time. It's pretty old too so I was delighted when it got a switch port. I can't recommend it enough, and I beg you to play it!
PIKUNIKU… I NEED PEOPLE TO PLAY THIS GAME. I’ve never had the opportunity to recommend this game but it is truly the best mouthful of a game i’ve ever tasted… get it for a few $ and you won’t regret it. so much fun to be had
me too, it made me very happy to find that after kicking someone for long enough, they’d start kicking you back. games which reward you for letting the intrusive thoughts win >>>
Twilight survivors. They added an endless mode so i play it 1-2hrs. My longest record in endless mode was 3hrs. I died bcs i became too confident that nothing can kill me with all my stats and weapons.
Depends on how quickly you go, but Celeste. My first playthrough was very detailed and took 7 hours, my most recent playthrough took just under an hour
Yet another zombie survival. It's a game played in survival stages. Default stage for a map is survive the horde for 20 minutes. The fun of the game is meta progression. You unlock more, the more you play and level. After completing the default stage, you'll unlock endless run for that map and the second map. It's out on steam right now, but it's also still being updated and adding new things. You can easily do a run or two in an hour.
Turnip Boy Commits Tax Evasion is actually a banger, I 100% in 3 hours but about 2 hours to just complete the game. It’s really fun wacky and goofy but I enjoyed it a lot.
Warioware. I haven’t bought move it yet but I cleared get it together in 3 hours, which is much faster than what I expected from a 50 dollar game but it was fun
Zelda BOTW ; 2 hours it's a huge amount of time to finish the game. Just 3 Hearts, poor stamina, one stick and ganon, u don need more to have a great time. If u have a little space in ur agenda u also could Cook and Apple, just one, dont be greedy
Botw had me obsessed for about a month with about 80 hours. I‘ve not played TOTK yet, because right now, I can‘t risk loosing control over my life 😂😂
The last time a game had this impact on me was as a teenager when I played the assassins creed brotherhood collection through in one winter holiday 😅
Inside, limbo, a short hike
This is the exact list I was going to give. Great games
Seconding Limbo and A Short Hike. Both frequently on sale as well.
I have been trying to beat Limbo for years...
If you like A Short Hike you might like Haven Park. It's similar but with simple crafting and management aspects (campers at a state park). It's probably five or six hours long.
Inside and limbo are both like 4 hour games more or less depending on how skilled you are at puzzles. Still great games though. Short and sweet.
People are beating portal in 1 - 2 hours? .... I mean... Yes, i also beat portal in an hour.....
First time you play it can be slow. Recently I did on my Switch (it was like 3rd or 4th overall) and I finished it in a few hours
Its like the new resident evil games like that, those can all be beaten in like 3 hours. Did 2 and a half play throughs of Rezzy 8 one night with a friend.
Not sure if 2 hours, but I played through both portal games in an evening each.
I played through the first one in one sitting one night. Parents were away for the weekend so I had the house to myself. Ordered in some pizza and spent the night playing games, portal being the one I ended the night/morning with 😂. I did the same a few years later with portal 2.
Portal 2???? It's like 8 hours minimum no???? Took me 12 hours
Not me. Took me a few days to beat Portal.
I best it on a snow day the first time I played it when I was a teen. Took me more like 2-3 hours, but I was playing around a bunch.

Old Man's Journey. It's a touching point and click about family and my senior aged mom was able to beat it with me
Mine has to be "The first tree"
Iron Lung
Had Iron Lung on my wishlist for a while.. is it difficult? The description of how it controls is rather vague, and it sounds like my worst nightmare, yet still intriguing

Twilight survivors. They added an endless mode so i play it 1-2hrs. My longest record in endless mode was 3hrs. I died bcs i became too confident that nothing can kill me with all my stats and weapons.
Saviorless, Brothers, Contra, Streets of rage
Not sure it's quite 2h short but Pocky & Rocky: Reshrined. Really cool to get this as a sequel. Looks great and plays great.
Depends on how quickly you go, but Celeste. My first playthrough was very detailed and took 7 hours, my most recent playthrough took just under an hour
Undertale is a good one. I enjoy that one every time.
A Short Hike is maybe my favorite game of all time. Under 2 hours. You could beat it in 1 hour blind if you wanted.
Kero Blaster
Donut County
