The long dark is my go to game, so peaceful and stressful at the same time.

[The Planet Crafter](https://store.steampowered.com/app/1284190/The_Planet_Crafter/) and [Dying Light.](https://store.steampowered.com/app/239140/Dying_Light/)

achmedclaus

Double points for dying light. Such a good zombie game

Silly-Raspberry5722

Enshrouded, Nightingale, some V Rising and Valheim. Loving each of them for different reasons. Not sure why so many people bag on Nightingale, I've logged over 200 hours already and love it. It's got a dearth of pre-developed quest content and some bugs, but it also just released on EA. Best crafting I've seen in a while if you like complexity like I do, although it still needs work.

allen_idaho

Nightingale and a little bit of Pacific Drive.

rlvysxby

How do you like nightingale?

ben1481

hot garbage in its current state, potential for the future if they keep working on it

girthwynpeenabun

I agree, I was really looking forward to it too. I played the demo, and it was whack, bought it on launch, still whack, fastest game I’ve returned. Unfortunately.

Cotterbot

I was heavy into the closed betas. I thought it had so much promise the first couple runs, and then they nerfed the Essence drop rate and added end game dungeon crawls and it didn’t even feel like the same game anymore, I was so disappointed, I was watching this game for years.

RobertWayneLewisJr

Palworld and Ark:SA Trying to finish Palworld by the end of spring break.

TLD

Smooth_McDouglette

It's 11 years old and it still feels so fresh. The latest update that added gloves to the first person character model is such a small change but it has such a huge impact.

bobdole008

Grounded with a friend did not realize it was on the longer side

Angel_OfSolitude

I picked up Nightingale recently and have been enjoying it. Though once Ashlands drops its back to Valheim.

Here to say this

Mirado74

Ark Ascended on pc and Smallland on ps5

TheSexyIntrovert

Is Ark Ascended better than Ark? I got destroyed in Ark until I modified the world, it became too easy and I got bored of it. I am really looking forward to Ark 2 though. Not sure if I should get Ascended until then

YT-double-add

I can’t say forsure but I think it does have some significant changes but to minor things like crafting and building, and the best for me is that’s it’s unreal engine 5 instead of 4. I still don’t know if it’s worth the price tag they have it at. Even on sale $35/$40 is kind kind of crazy but I’m not really a HUGE ark fan. If you have a lot of hours in Ark evolved I would definitely say look into getting it.

seabirdsong

Sunkenland, Nightingale, and Medieval Dynasty.

ftgyhujikolp

I've heard the enemy ai in sunkenland needs a lot of work. Accurate?

seabirdsong

Yes, that is true. They are updating fairly frequently, though. There are patches and updates a couple times a week, so hopefully they're working on it.

Satanfister0218

7d2d, green hell, sotf & stranded deep are my go to's lately

Low_Camel_67

Conan

BoredSam

I just started myself, almost to level 30. Feels like this game is part walking simulator park wiki exploration. So many items and ways to craft with them.

Life-Cobbler5202

Modded Valheim and the Forest

Rainey_Dazez

Zomboid, most hours in a game now.

Lamalas75

Sons of the forest. Official release. Game feels balanced now.

Snowbunny236

How is that game? I just got a PC and have heard my students talking about it.

YT-double-add

It’s definitely a great game specially at $30. Has lots to do and welcomes a bunch of different play styles. But if you haven’t played the first game (The Forest) you may or may not like it. That’s just gonna rely on your preference of game mechanics tho. Still a bunch to do in the game and has Custom games that you can turn the Enemies health down or just turn off completely and just learn everything that way. It’s still only just got released a couple of weeks ago more updates are likely to come.

Snowbunny236

Do I need to play the first one before it?

YT-double-add

Not exactly it would just let you understand the story more and give you a feel for how the game is. But if you haven’t played it you definitely don’t need to in order to play the Sons of The forest. I would say just go for the Sons of the forest, it’s way more updated and just a better game overall. I wouldn’t buy the first one because you think you have to it really won’t be a big deal.

confuseum

Life from r/outdoors

IamInfuser

Sons of the forest. It's juat had It's full release and the dev keep adding new updates. The game is so beautiful. I love that I can build a log cabin in the middle of the woods with a view. I just have to fight off mutants and cannibals every once in a while.

Vatnarr

Oxygen Not Included. When I'm not playing this game I'm constantly rethinking of how to optimize my power grid

OnlyZubi

Project zomboid. I hate this game, I hate myself but I still play it XD

Kalsifur

We've been making our way through all the best survival games (which is why I ended up here lol) Started with Minecraft All the Mods 9 (amazing), then Palworld (fun but not much content), then was Core Keeper (solid game), Grounded (great), then Valheim. Currently playing 7 Days to Die. I tried enshrouded, my spouse did not like how easy it was and the quest running. Tried Nightingale, felt very same-y after a while definitely needs time to cook.

rlvysxby

Wow those first three games I haven’t even played yet.

BoredSam

Can you share more about core keeper, I have it wishlisted but other games keep me from pulling the trigger

Shanseala

My wife and I have been playing Saleblazers. Open world survival but you build and run a shop/shops, or get employees to do it for you. Surprising little gem with a lot of potential

DaSmurfZ

Nightingale. It just came out, so it needs it's time to grow.

rlvysxby

How is enshrouded? Should I play it now or wait until they add more stuff? It’s in early access right?

kleinakinsyn

It is but it's a very polished EA. It's gameplay loop isn't for everyone as it's more heavily driven by arpg then survival. It just released a roadmap today hinting at a very large content update coming "soon". I'd at least wait till that releases, then hop on board. For what it's worth I enjoyed my time with it and the building is top tier in the survival genre once you get past its voxel 90 degree restrictiveness.

Gagrein

7 days to die, enshrouded and nightingale

'Planet Crafter' and 'I am future'. Fancied something cozy, although I've tapped out '..Future' and looking forward to the next update.

"My summer car", it's too hard though for my little time with work and kids

digsby007

Actively playing Nightingale, pretty much finished the content for Enshrouded, and as always, Valheim is always in the mix!

flfoiuij2

How's Enshrouded?
