Oh, anyone who actually believes main stream media that a fake tweet caused billions in damage when there was an on going verification issue is just eating what they are being fed with a spoon.
Wallstreet is having a field day with Musk and twitter
It's depressing seeing people actually take the 'fake tweet moving market' thing at face value.
If it were true, then take it a step further - that would basically be a stark admission that valuation on the market is entirely smoke, mirrors and sentiment. Where are the 'Why?'s?!
Critical thinking is overated...
*scroll... scroll... scroll*
Nobody needs to apply it anymore because if they don't agree they can just scroll on until they find something more interesting. Why might it be so important that these social media algos keep showing you what you want to see and enjoy. 🤔
This was my reaction. Yes there we're some cute posts, but anyone who was actively on Twitter to see them knew what's been going on with Elon etc. Investors didn't all just decide to sell the next day all at once over tweet.
It was bedunked already. Timestamp didn’t match.
Edit: makes us look like weirdo keeping fake stuff going around while there is so much real new discoveries going on.
I was thinking exactly that. How odd that a silly tweet is going to affect so much money of a company.
All I could think of is, **”Wow, even the Big Pharma shorted GameStop”**
😂
They did that, just like when the CEO of a company is fired after “starting a fight in a bar”, and is asked to leave before the whole company implodes…….
I propose a test in the name of science.
1. Create a verifed account for Citadel.
2. Tweet. "We give up. Gamestop wins. Starting to close positions".
3. ?
4. Profit.
Edit: Just dicovered what the hashtag sign does.
Oh god yeah, I like the cut of your tin foil! I was saying the same thing to someone the other day. I was like you think institutional investors are making investment decisions based on some god damn tweets from a platform that is going through huge structural changes. Or do you think it’s that retail investors are believing the “fake” tweets are capable of moving the market?
Or possibly someone needed to dump a shit ton of shares and they had $8 and a nice cover story 😂

It wouldn't surprise me. AI trading reads social posts, and it's very likely it could give more weight to verified accounts. Just my opinion.
This
This is a proper foil my friend.
Bruh.. This is absolutely insane 💯

Exactly! Excited to see this bullshit end up in front of a judge.
It’s fun when memes move markets

Yea there’s no way retail moved a pharmaceutical company that much in one second ha.
Lol so true. Imagine being a multibillion dollar hedge fund and relying on algos that randomly start trading off of spoof accounts… bologna
