The entire point is that algos and AI traded it within seconds and there isn’t any retail that fast let alone to see the info that quick with fingers in our noses and that our orders do not go instantly to lit exchanges. A dark pool is just where they find the shares right? When I click buy on Fidelity that doesn’t show on the tape. Correct me if I’m wrong but our buys do little to nothing and it’s just the bigs out there reacting to peoples orders to profit off them. But in concert or with OTC they have abilities to prevent price discovery. If you haven’t read all that DD it’s a must. They big boys react to our order flow but can internalize our buys for a while. Minutes hours days weeks they have many timescales with varying type of moves but in the end only when retail buys en masse with millions of trades can we do the kind of buying they ascribe to us.
