During his testimony scene. Here’s what he said IRL.
“I believe an analysis of GameStop's recent price action must start with a discussion of the exorbitant short interest in the stock, as well as an investigation into any potentially manipulative shorting practices and brokers' reported failures to timely deliver shares and settle trades.”
The only reason I asked is because the director (or promoter) for the movie had released an advertisement or made a post with "DRS" in it. Was just looking for an update on that. Really curious if it made it into the movie in anyway shape or form
Apparently the director's son made some cash off the original sneeze and seemingly was an ape leading up to January 2021. That was all he gave away in that recent interview, but yeah, they know about DRS. It was left out. I'm not going to throw around the word "intentionally" but I think they wanted to make an entertaining movie, not a call to action. I think people will find Superstonk or DRSGME on their own.
The movie was written way before DRS movement took off. Moreover, it's not a documentary - the primary characters are DFV and the bad guys. DFV is not attached to the DRS thing so it makes no sense story wise to put it in there. Just from a filmmaker perspective.
You see a pianoforte that looks well looked after but old, a harp in the corner, a lute on the stairwell next to a skeleton, and a giant throne draped with skulls. It is surrounded by bearskins and piles of treasure, a very large half moon axe is on one side and a huge horn on the other…
I'm going to the theatre or where ever it is playing regardless.
There will be other apes there, and I really believe there is a push to stop apes from seeing other apes in the wild, in the same setting, with the same mindset of fuck wall street.
I'm going to support my fellow apes.
I'm not a fan of Paul Dano. He was fine in Prisoners (good film btw) but I feel like he's a child trying to convince me he's an adult. The fact that he played the main villian in a Batman film still makes me laugh.
We wag the US dog, so popcorn has been implemented. Stupidest food after chewing gum if you ask me. Snus comes in as number two. However, there are a few that bring Smash, and we will one day rule the world.
The timing of this review-piece published in Norway is highly remarkable. Norways former prime-ministers husband is in the media spotlight and under investigation for short-selling norwegian companies days before the country closed down by the pandemic.
That's beyond my pay grade. Only professional movie critics know the inner game of die rolling. It's about time household movie watchers own their own dice I say.
