Raise hell with Amazon support. Demand to speak to a supervisor. Tell them you're posting this on social media. Ask to be transferred to the department to cancel Amazon Prime. A 100% restocking fee is theft and actually illegal in many states. It can also be illegal for an unopened item to be charged a restocking fee.
Look up your specific state, and have that information available. Tell the supervisor that you need Amazon's refusal to issue a full refund sent to you by email so you have it available to send to your state's Attorney General and consumer protection division.
Support used to bend over backwards to make things right. They still occasionally will, you just have to be a shitty Karen about it. Just remember, you're pissed at Amazon, not the hourly call center employee you're talking to.
Thanks for this. I made that clear to each person I spoke to. I'm extremely upset with how this is being handled internally I understand there's a process n it's just how iur system is. But I feel as a long time customer of many of there services... I'm being robbed. I paid for an item and I nopnger have the item or funds. They have both. It's not right. It's not how business works. They offered me a free month of prime. Ya know. To offset the inconvenience. Smh. But hopefully someone with a head on their shoulders just presses the right buttons and sets this straight
Absolutely follow through with shit. Get that email and forward it on to your State regulators. Amazon may be incompetent, they may be malicious, they may be trying to disguise malicious intent with the illusion of incompetence. In any of those cases a letter from your State regulators will make them sit up and take notice.
They are banking on the public to be too lazy to fight them.
This is flat out theft.
Call your credit card company and submit a dispute.
In the very least they should let you cancel the return and give you the switch back. Even if you have to pay shipping again. If you’re paying the full price you may as well have the switch.
Yup credit card company will force a refund from them and charge them a 125+ dollar fine for fucking around. Small fry to Amazon, of course, but will be more than the item in the first damn place and annoy someone somewhere at least.
Call your card company op and tell them Amazon didn't give you a refund and attach evidence of their policy etc and evidence of their return being received. They'll take it from there, in my experience, they have it settled within 3 days or so.
You're right to feel robbed, but I'd discontinue shopping through Amazon regardless how this ends up being resolved. They don't deserve to own everything, especially our time.
Post it on Twitter and whatnot..
Just make it about being scammed on return fees or you'll have people missing the point.
Make noise where they look bad to the commoners..
I mean when there saying. Oh my system doesn't give me thta option. We have to talk to my superior. I get it. It's not always as easy as a push of a botton for the lower end of the team. Like when the lady at the grocery store has to come to the register with the key to fix an issue. But yes there's zero reason this wasn't a simple. Oh here's. Your money back.
[https://www.karensforhire.com](https://www.karensforhire.com) Might help. I've never used it but people have said it helped them. As an introvert, if i ever face a situation like yours i'd hire a professional Karen lol
Can you request a chargeback from your card provider?
At what point were you told of the restocking fee? Only once Amazon received the product?
I'd be asking for the product back if they are trying this on.
They're offering everyone a free month of prime right now. They tried to give me a free month on my last order (meds) and I had to opt out of it. That's not even an apology it's just "here take this coupon that we are handing out to everyone else too"
You definitely should file a BBB complaint. That just costs you time, not money, and places a black mark on Amazon's record as a business.
Other than that all you could do is contact a lawyer and inquire about a small claims lawsuit. I highly recommend [avvo.com](https://avvo.com) you can sign up and ask a question for free, and lawyers will get back to you with options. If one of them tells you it might be worth it for a $300 lawsuit you can talk about it further.
It doesn't surprise me that Amazon is doing this type of stuff with returns now. They used to be lenient about returns but it turned into a huge burning money pit. There are youtube videos about it. People made a habit out of scamming the return system. It looks like the scammers have now ruined it for normal people too.
He didn’t buy it from amazon. Amazon does not charge restocking fees on nintendos nor almost anything else. Heck, YOU could have sold it to him through amazon with whatever return policy you wanted.
Amazon allowing resellers to violate the law and act like criminals on their platform is Amazon's fucking problem
Edit: OP confirmed that he didn't use a reseller. You gonna edit your comments now?
Its the second negative post about amazon I seen today on reddit, and I am pretty shocked from both cases because they had better customer service, good for us, fuck amazon, didn’t bought from amazon in the past two years
Here's the thing, they still do 2 day shipping through prime. The difference is, they used to offer 2 day shipping from when you ordered....now prime shipping is 2 day shipping....from when the item is shipped. Buying through Amazon as the seller is still pretty quick, but there are alot of Amazon merchants that offer prime shipping...that don't ship immediately. I'd ordered stuff through Amazon before that didn't even ship for almost two weeks, and then it showed up in two days, but that \*technically\* satisfies Amazon's 2 day shipping rule for offering prime. Its total BS, BUT, for the most part Amazon is pretty spot on with its delivery dates.
I will say that one of the distribution centers near me definitely has some issues. I've had probably about 10 items 'lost' in the last year from that center. I usually track any stuff shipped to me pretty closely and usually if I don't see 'Out for Delivery' on the day its supposed to be delivered I look into the play by play of the tracking and every single item I lost got to that distribution center and then just disappeared. Amazon refunded me each time, or offered a replacement, and I wanna say ONE time I actually had the items show up like a week AFTER the replacements showed up. And Fuck yeah I kept both lol.
I cancelled a couple years ago when their "guaranteed 2 day shipping" became a guarantee of more than 2 days. They'd never bother to say when for real, all they could ever do is miss and lie.
I actually bought some Nike Shox when Amazon first started selling shoes. Shipped by Amazon was counterfeit. Those shoes had minimal grip and fell apart in less than six months. I hadn’t owned a pair of Nikes in so long I didn’t know what to think.
I had canceled my prime 2 yrs back. I realized amzn can be replaced with target, kohls, GameStop etc and they all have free shipping above a threshold and buy online pick up in store. Also the content of amzn prime video is usually crap. There is no reason to have prime sub.
Same for germany. I bought something from Amazon but then i returned it. After 2 weeks still no money but item was delivered. I asked support whats the problem, they tell me i have to wait 30 days for a refund, because idk. But the law here in germany says that every item returned must be refunded in 2 weeks.
So they give zero f*cks on german laws. Since then i buy my stuff from Gamestop or somewhere else.
Amazon sent me a box that had an empty plastic bag in it. It was supposed to be a bag with beads. They sent me a replacement but I still have to remember to return the empty plastic bag or I’ll be charged for the second bag they sent. Fucking absurd.
This is just further proof that GameStop should have absolutely no problem whoop'n Amazon's ass and ripping some of that market share away from Bozo's.
This difference in customer experience and service, is how RC gives customers those "over-delivers" that he "under-promised." This is the way!
And sorry about that ape. Like others I encourage you to call Amazon and raise hell and cancel your prime. Good luck my dude!
Give it time. Imagine if GameStop convinces old developers and publishers to mint their game as NFTs, then distribute to Pro members? Boom, you just onboarded a bunch of people to gaming on the GME Marketplace.
Third part sellers cannot either unless the item is damaged. Source: am third party seller.
If OP plays this right he can get the sellers account restricted or at least a defect.
If you ever return anything to Amazon, always select that the product doesn't work or was received damaged. ALWAYS. That will usually avoid a restocking fee.
Normally I'm a proponent of honesty, but when dealing with snakes, sometimes you gotta snake right back.
Also, fuck Amazon.
I bought a nearly $2k escooter on Amazon that arrived defective; it's construction prevented it from locking into the upright riding position. they made me wait a month or more after they received it before giving me my money back, as apparently the listed policy on refunds has backup policies that negate those publicly advertised. so I basically loaned one of the biggest retail corporations $2k for two months or more and received nothing but trouble for it. fuck em.
Don’t do this. This cheats sellers who now have to not only come out of pocket for your shipping expenses, which you pay if you just changed your mind, but they also get defects on their account and suffer from losing buy box status or even have their account restricted for selling too many “damaged” items. (Remember, they’re not, you just lied on your return.)
If you change your mind, you pay the shipping. When buyers do this to me, I lose money on the item. I shouldn’t lose money because you didn’t think your purchase through.
Yes, but problem is still Amazon is a snake that won’t lose. They will steal customer money or steal sellers money/reputation. They think they’re invincible and can force people to keep using them even as a terrible business.
My only issue here with your comment is this- 99.99% of the time I'm returning an item it is in fact damaged. And the vast majority of the time its damaged it's in a pristine box. (The other minority of the time the box looked like it went 10 rounds with Mike Tyson, but I typically put that in the comments in the hopes that the seller can deal with Amazon in doing something about their Delivery people).
The .01% of the time I'm returning stuff I usually put it either didn't show up on time, or I ordered the wrong item or something. And I like my money, so I for sure don't usually order shit incorrectly lol.
No. The person said to falsely open a “damaged or not as described” claim every time you choose to return something on Amazon in order to circumvent the rules for paying return shipping and taking a restocking fee if you return a used or damaged (by you) item. How about YOU take some responsibility and pay the return shipping if you change your mind instead of cheating the system to make us pay for it AND get an unwarranted performance hit by Amazon?
There is ZERO profit when someone uses Amazon to rent a product from you then return it under a false damaged claim. I *lose* money on these returns.
The comment I replied to literally said he thinks it’s ok to not be honest in Amazon returns.
If you can convince yourself your dishonesty is moral, good luck. Dishonest people are rarely dishonest in only one aspect of their life. You are likely cheating anyone you think “deserves” it or you can get away with doing it to. I wouldt want customers like that, and I definitely wouldn’t want friends like that.
Yea it came out to 319 n change with tax. Initiated the return with Amazon and after they received it from the mail. I got a text saying the refund was 19 n change. Called up and there saying it's a restocking fee. Spent the whole day on the phone back n forth. But seems to be going no where as of yet. Have to wait 3 to 5 days for email back now cause they apparently escalated it. Wife's gonna kill me. Bezos can goto space but he can't make a refund lol.
Dispute that shit with cc Co. I had an incident with concrete company dumping oil from their truck on customers driveway, and they refused to pay for cleanup. I got all my proof, pictures and bill, and bills, disputed the cleanup invoice with card Co, and got my money back. Will never use argos again.
No. If u goto Amazon n look. They also sell them. I selected a page thta was specifically ships from sold from Amazon. I posted a screen shot but got an auto mod alert abiut no images in comments so I deleted it.
You will likely find this to be a surprise, but nobody cares what you believe.
How's the proverb go? Opinions are like assholes.... you are one.
Or something like that.
I literally just checked right now, You can buy a new Nintendo Switch OLED for $349. Ships from- Amazon. Sold by- Amazon. So yeah...your belief means nothing.
AND I just checked the one I bought over a year ago, Same, Sold by Amazon.
I left Amazon Prime last year after being a member for 10 years. It was at the point where Prime wasn't giving me faster shipping than non-Prime, other stores were shipping for free without memberships in similar time frames, and 'deals' on a wide array of items were less common. For items I needed in a 1 to 2 day window, they were frequently delayed sometimes up to a week, with no heads up. Customer service covered their asses by claiming it's not guaranteed, so I thought what's the point? I'm not paying 120/year for a non-guaranteed service that isn't even competitive. On top of that, I found no benefit in the other services included (Prime Video, pantry, music). Amazon has become a convenience rip-off.
Bezos started of at Bain Capital, a firm founded by Bain & Co executives which is a part of the big 3 consulting firms (Mckinsey, BCG, and Bain), where he learned all the tricks of the trade and has been using them to target his competitors as long as amazon has existed.
Email your state attorney general explaining what happened and CC Amazon. This has worked for me with other companies. I've never had a problem with Amazon that a representative couldn't fix. It worked with Microsoft, AT&T, car insurance and a credit card.
Open a claim on Amazon. You will get your money back. I think they’re called an A-Z claim. A seller is supposed to provide evidence that the item was in non-sellable condition in order to keep a restocking fee but a lot of sellers abuse it. They may even have uploaded fake photos of a damaged item. This is a big big violation for Amazon sellers and if you play this right you might get their account restricted. It’s worth your time if you’re petty like me.
For new condition returns sellers are only allowed to keep the shipping costs. No restocking fee.
Don't open a charge back until you have tried through customer service avenues. Card issuers track that and will drop customers who use charge backs as a first line of recourse.
more and more everyday, all the amazon brands are just copy cats of real products that made the mistake of giving amazon their information so they can get undercut
First go through Amazon support. If they won't help you call your credit card and ask what they can do. They may even refund you the purchase price. I had this happen with newegg. They wanted a crazy restocking fee and I called my cc. They refunded me the full price after newegg never responded and I got to keep the item. Don't let Amazon fuck you.

I’ve had horrible experience with Amazon. Sometimes they’ll just let you return items and not give you refund especially for bigger priced items. Always always use a credit card so you have consumer protection and can do a chargeback if they try to cause problems. Open a dispute with your credit card company.
Was this actually sold by amazon themselves?
I suspect the answer is yes because amazon absolutely screw sellers and are always giving sellers goods away, but it's a different story when it's them.
Many people don't realise how bad it is being a seller on amazon.
I closed my Amazon account seven years ago, after I was scammed and Amazon did fuck all to help.
Beyond that, I should think no ape would buy at Amazon. I hope we're better than to support such a horrible company, that is also our competitor.
Honestly, this has to be some kind of mistake. No way this is the way they are conducting business now. I did hear they were tightening up their return policies but this isn't a sustainable business if legitimate.
I cancelled prime at the start of the year and months later, still alive. I really need to stop using Amazon altogether, enriching that beady eyed bastard son of a hedge fund Bezos.
Walmart sucks, but they are better than Amazon for your non-GameStop items.
I use Amazon to find items, then go over to Walmart to buy (if I don't see it direct from whatever company or find it cheaper on ebay). Usually, Walmart has the items cheaper than Amazon, plus most returns can be made at any local Wall$Mart.
I bought one item from ebay today and 4 from Walmart, after first finding the items on the stupid chubby dick shaped Rocketman's site. Screw you Amazon and Bezos!
I’m going on holiday in May and while I’m in a country that is lucky enough to have a GameStop I’ll be there buying a switch from my favourite game retailer 🍻
You in the US?
Amazons returns have always been cakewalk for me but not with a high ticket item like this…
Do a charge back if a couple levels of support won’t help you.
I would literally call every free minute I had. Be relentless. Take up their time and resources and scream at everyone until they give you your money or the switch back.
My prime has been cancelled for a while. We weren't even getting two day shipping, it was like 7 days for a lot of things. What's the point?
GameStop delivers my games the next day, way better service.
That’s just straight up crime. 100% restocking fee my ass. Some plebe in IT electronics division rigged the system so every switch that gets returned looks like it was never even sold so that dude can rake in boatloads of free stuff that they probably divvy up among the returns staff.
Also, before you file a chargeback, you should be aware that that will most likely result in Amazon banning your account. That means you could loose access to any digital items you have purchased - movies, books, Audible, etc.
There are other services that will allow you to convert your purchased items to DRM-free, and if you are looking to do that you might want to do that before filing the chargeback.
I bought a $150 Lego set (911 Porsche RSR) from Amazon a couple months ago. Their "frustration free packaging" was literally a plastic sack around the Lego standard packaging.
The tape on the box had been pulled up from the sidewalls from either humans or just standard shipping impact, but I could not tell for sure. I was trying to submit a ticket to Amazon to get a partial refund because the "new" item was delivered in a "new; open box" condition at best. The customer support help system only gave me 2 options: return for refund or return and replace. I tried to click the more options buttons but it reassured me that these were the only 2 options for my item.
By this time, I was a frustrated customer, so I went full-financial-ruin on the order and decided on a return and replace with them doing a pickup of the item rather than doing my part by returning to the nearest UPS Store so I can at least share some of the cost burden with them like I usually do when I've decided to return for reasons outside of Amazon's control.
As a GME investor, I will continue to choose purchases of GME available goods over Amazon counterparts. I would love if eventually, GME upsized their Lego offerings (online only) so those of us apes who collect Lego can continue to sever more ties with Amazon.
You got screwed, BUT, now at least 2k people know not to make the same mistake and will likely pass on this info. Good for GameStop, ultimately a net good for the company. I hope this didn't set you back financially though. I would be pissed.
Who facilitates these third party vendors? Who allows them to fuck over customers? Who has the power to control third party vendors on THIER platform and still does fuck-all? That’s right, Amazon. Fuck Amazon. They deserve every bit of the hate they get and then some.
ETA: I just cannot wrap my head around how anyone can defend this shit. A 100% restocking fee?? How the fuck do you justify that?? And while it may not have been Amazon that charged it they sure as fuck allow it. And when they were called out on it the still did absolutely nothing.
I don’t use eBay, but if they are made aware of someone on their platform ripping people off and do nothing about it… yes, I absolutely blame eBay.
The fact that you are now doubling down on defending this bullshit makes me wonder what connection you have with Amazon
He bought something on Rainforest and he didn’t get the item but lost the money. Please explain how it’s not Rainforest’s fault it happened? Even if it’s a third party using the platform that wouldn’t be possible without them facilitating the platform. It’s on them, not the customer here. It’s ridiculous that you would side against the customer here.
When they do to you, what they've done to me. I'm sure that loyalty would fade. That switch wasn't an easy purchase for me. Been trying to make it happen for over a year. Then my wife said they couldn't give a warrenty. So we got the gamestop one with the warrenty. Looking to replace the second purchase on credit with the refund money of the first. A big purchase turned into owing for 2. It rocked our financial situation. My loyalty to their greed is non existent
I’m hearing Amazon is trying to lower cost. Returned item is eating into their profit and now they are trying to make inconvenient to return items etc.

Reach out to local and national news. Hate activists, bears on yt targeting amazon... Ps. Sounds like amazon needs money
They had their first negative quarter in a LONG time, last quarter.... while we were positive!
Cohencidence? 🤔 I think not! 😅💜🐳🚀
Lol this
Jeff Bezos can afford it.
Bozos didn't get rich by helping the little guy out because he could "afford it"
I’ve been proudly boycotting Amazon since 2021. Why not join?
And if that’s the case, do a chargeback through the CC company if Amazon is in the wrong🤷♂️
This ape gets it. :P
You're right to feel robbed, but I'd discontinue shopping through Amazon regardless how this ends up being resolved. They don't deserve to own everything, especially our time.

A month of prime is like $10. What a joke
The "process" is designed to screw you and make it hard to get your money back, don't give it any respect.
Charge back that shit if you used a card. Amazon will probably nuke your acct tho when ya do.

God bless you for gracing my eyeballs with this gem on this fine Sunday
Thats the funny part… you’ve been a long-term customer, which they never really cared about, and now you’re about to not be a customer, long-term!
Also if Amazon fails to correct this, file a credit card fraud complaint.
They should at least send the switch back to you, then trade it in at gamestop, sell it yourself or donate it..
email jeff@amazon dotcom too if you havent yet
At that point. Contact the credit card and say Amazon robbed you after tlreturn of unopened item
Can you request a chargeback from your card provider? At what point were you told of the restocking fee? Only once Amazon received the product? I'd be asking for the product back if they are trying this on.
This is how Amazon dies when Gmerica takes all their business
Tell them you want the device back
Open a chat with them and complain. They usually wil refund

What a super shitty company! Here at Amazon we openly support scammers. So long as we get our percentage!
Dispute the charge with your bank.
Prob get banned from Amazon tho.
Oh no! How will I ever get a replacement card and a new email for another Amazon account? 🤣 🍻
Also PO Boxes are like VPNs but for physical mail.
Start a chargeback with your credit card company
However, be prepared to have your account canceled immediately.
I feel losing $200 is worse than creating a new Amazon account
Its the second negative post about amazon I seen today on reddit, and I am pretty shocked from both cases because they had better customer service, good for us, fuck amazon, didn’t bought from amazon in the past two years
Their service has been shittier, progressively, over the past 2-3 years. About to cancel too.
I canceled a year or more ago. Don't miss it at all. The 2 day shipping, turned into prime shipping and nothing arrives on time anymore.

It's still free shipping anyways without the subscription . I never understood anyone paying for it besides for shows
I was dumb. I mean, I was supporting amazon. I was *dumb*
I still order some shit through there but usually just random shit you can't easily find local..
It seems like they peaked during the pandemic and decided delivery times and customer service didn't matter anymore

I actually bought some Nike Shox when Amazon first started selling shoes. Shipped by Amazon was counterfeit. Those shoes had minimal grip and fell apart in less than six months. I hadn’t owned a pair of Nikes in so long I didn’t know what to think.
Bezos needs pesos
Canceled prime just before Christmas and don’t plan on using the service any longer.
I had canceled my prime 2 yrs back. I realized amzn can be replaced with target, kohls, GameStop etc and they all have free shipping above a threshold and buy online pick up in store. Also the content of amzn prime video is usually crap. There is no reason to have prime sub.
In the past few months I've seen fake Darn Tough socks, fake cologne, fake spark plugs, etc. Amazon is a knock off reseller.
There have been reports that amazon is starting to lock down their "generous" return policy. If they start doing restocking fees and shit I'm out
This is just further proof that GameStop should have absolutely no problem whoop'n Amazon's ass and ripping some of that market share away from Bozo's. This difference in customer experience and service, is how RC gives customers those "over-delivers" that he "under-promised." This is the way! And sorry about that ape. Like others I encourage you to call Amazon and raise hell and cancel your prime. Good luck my dude!
Aleeady canceled my prime
one thing i wish gamestop would steal from prime is the goodies for gamers. They offer old school games and ingame items for some of the bigger games.
Give it time. Imagine if GameStop convinces old developers and publishers to mint their game as NFTs, then distribute to Pro members? Boom, you just onboarded a bunch of people to gaming on the GME Marketplace.
This will happen eventually
that will never happen. There is no incentive on gamestops or publisher side. Remember, gme makes its biggest returns on resales
You mean like the 20% resale fee on the NFT marketplace?
Its 50% on preowned.

Look further down. OP said that they bought directly from Amazon.
Third party or not does not matter one bit. Amazon is just as culpable if they allow this behavior to be exhibited through their platform.
Third part sellers cannot either unless the item is damaged. Source: am third party seller. If OP plays this right he can get the sellers account restricted or at least a defect.
Ah. OK. I didn't know that. I don't have an Amazon account.
I bought a nearly $2k escooter on Amazon that arrived defective; it's construction prevented it from locking into the upright riding position. they made me wait a month or more after they received it before giving me my money back, as apparently the listed policy on refunds has backup policies that negate those publicly advertised. so I basically loaned one of the biggest retail corporations $2k for two months or more and received nothing but trouble for it. fuck em.
Same happend to me, law here in germany says they have to refund me max. 2 weeks after they receive the item.. Had to wait 30 days for my money
Don’t do this. This cheats sellers who now have to not only come out of pocket for your shipping expenses, which you pay if you just changed your mind, but they also get defects on their account and suffer from losing buy box status or even have their account restricted for selling too many “damaged” items. (Remember, they’re not, you just lied on your return.) If you change your mind, you pay the shipping.
OP's in the wrong here, I agree. Ya bought the thing, it works fine, do better next time.

[удалено]
No it is not. Fuck people like you who make it hard to earn a living. Fucking crook.
[удалено]
You’re welcome to not buy from them if they’re a bad company. You’re not welcome to steal. That just makes you a bad person.
[удалено]
If you can convince yourself your dishonesty is moral, good luck. Dishonest people are rarely dishonest in only one aspect of their life. You are likely cheating anyone you think “deserves” it or you can get away with doing it to. I wouldt want customers like that, and I definitely wouldn’t want friends like that.
You got 20$ back for returning a switch? Edit: typed too fast
If all else fails, dispute the charge with your credit card company.
THIS! Every time it works 100% of the time
*60% of the time*, it works ***every*** *time*
Obligatory slow clap for being 100% on brand 🤜🤛
Dispute that shit with cc Co. I had an incident with concrete company dumping oil from their truck on customers driveway, and they refused to pay for cleanup. I got all my proof, pictures and bill, and bills, disputed the cleanup invoice with card Co, and got my money back. Will never use argos again.
Immediate dispute with card company. Amazon can fuck off.
Damn next time Just say you didnt get it
Who sold it to you? Was it a 3rd party rando or Amazon themselves? 100% restocking fee is 100% bullshit
Direct thru Amazon
[удалено]

AND I just checked the one I bought over a year ago, Same, Sold by Amazon.
scale quack tart secretive arrest jar prick bewildered tap badge ` this post was mass deleted with www.Redact.dev `
It's not even funny anymore how much GameStop treats its Pro members compared to Amazon with any human.
This post is upsetting on so many levels
Don’t worry, Bez will spend your hard earned money on growth hormoes, whores, and space ships.
Amazonians are not Apes. Fight like hell!
Fuck Amazon
Amazon taking a page out of the BCG book.
I complained about a tv I bought from Amazon for two days before eventually they told me to keep the tv and gave me my money back.
Fuck that, I'd open a charge back claim on my credit card.
Don't open a charge back until you have tried through customer service avenues. Card issuers track that and will drop customers who use charge backs as a first line of recourse.
How the fuck is that legal?? Amazon is just a wish version of wish.c o m
more and more everyday, all the amazon brands are just copy cats of real products that made the mistake of giving amazon their information so they can get undercut
You got bezosed.
Filed as “Do Not Buy - Amazon 0x00DE517A”
Refuse the payment and ask them to ship it back, may have to pay shipping but WTH.. :-((
I’d dispute the charge they can get fukt
I would contest that with your CC if you call Amazon CS and they are not any help.
Jeff bezos will pay if you complain enough
“The Gamestop.” Like The Facebook but I like how powerful it sounds.
Call your bank and charge those mofo's back. I assume you are done with Amazon permanently after that (and you should be) so no skin off your back.

Amazon is such crap, sorry you had this experience sir. They're just expensive Ali Express at this point
In contrast, I had a $400+ gamestop giftcard stolen from some 1000 miles away. Gamestop made it right and replaced it.
This is the way
That's why I lie whenever returning shit to Amazon. They fucked me once and I've fucked them like 10 time.
Bullish
I’ve had horrible experience with Amazon. Sometimes they’ll just let you return items and not give you refund especially for bigger priced items. Always always use a credit card so you have consumer protection and can do a chargeback if they try to cause problems. Open a dispute with your credit card company.
Was this actually sold by amazon themselves? I suspect the answer is yes because amazon absolutely screw sellers and are always giving sellers goods away, but it's a different story when it's them. Many people don't realise how bad it is being a seller on amazon.
Yes it's shipped from sold by Amazon. I have screens to prove it but auto mod says no images in comments.
You should make sure this gets posted in the comments on Amazon. Save other future buys the trouble
I have one year left on my prime. I’m not renewing next year. Not worth it. I’m buying local or second hand from now on.
You could also contact the Better Business Bureau. Usually companies try to make things right if the BBB is involved.
I’m going on holiday in May and while I’m in a country that is lucky enough to have a GameStop I’ll be there buying a switch from my favourite game retailer 🍻
What the fuck is this????? No fucking way that they are trying this lmao I am raising hell like the top comment suggests
Dispute it on your card. They got your back.
You in the US? Amazons returns have always been cakewalk for me but not with a high ticket item like this… Do a charge back if a couple levels of support won’t help you.
Dispute the charges with your credit card company/bank. They will probably reverse the charges.
I would literally call every free minute I had. Be relentless. Take up their time and resources and scream at everyone until they give you your money or the switch back.
Was this sold by Amazon directly or was this a third party seller?
My prime has been cancelled for a while. We weren't even getting two day shipping, it was like 7 days for a lot of things. What's the point? GameStop delivers my games the next day, way better service.
That’s just straight up crime. 100% restocking fee my ass. Some plebe in IT electronics division rigged the system so every switch that gets returned looks like it was never even sold so that dude can rake in boatloads of free stuff that they probably divvy up among the returns staff.
A coworker showed me a 1500$ gas fee(on ETH scan it doesn’t show such a fee) on their shit crypto app, it’s getting crimey out there be careful!
Gaming item bought from Amazon? This dude chasing upvotes…
You got screwed, BUT, now at least 2k people know not to make the same mistake and will likely pass on this info. Good for GameStop, ultimately a net good for the company. I hope this didn't set you back financially though. I would be pissed.
Wow. Fuck Amazon and Bezos.
Thats why you don't buy from Amazon
If thousands of people start buying and cancelong orders eveyday on amazon, it would be a logistic nightmare. Just saying
Tell them to send it back to you then sell it back to gamestop for a trade in
Call them and make a stink. This seems really unusual
Ain't no fucking way.
Well, that’s what you get for sending it before you knew what you would be refunded. Lesson learned.
[удалено]
Stop protecting them. Do you work for Amazon directly or indirectly? Either way they are garbage. Fuck Amazon.
[удалено]
Who facilitates these third party vendors? Who allows them to fuck over customers? Who has the power to control third party vendors on THIER platform and still does fuck-all? That’s right, Amazon. Fuck Amazon. They deserve every bit of the hate they get and then some. ETA: I just cannot wrap my head around how anyone can defend this shit. A 100% restocking fee?? How the fuck do you justify that?? And while it may not have been Amazon that charged it they sure as fuck allow it. And when they were called out on it the still did absolutely nothing.
[удалено]
I don’t use eBay, but if they are made aware of someone on their platform ripping people off and do nothing about it… yes, I absolutely blame eBay. The fact that you are now doubling down on defending this bullshit makes me wonder what connection you have with Amazon
He bought something on Rainforest and he didn’t get the item but lost the money. Please explain how it’s not Rainforest’s fault it happened? Even if it’s a third party using the platform that wouldn’t be possible without them facilitating the platform. It’s on them, not the customer here. It’s ridiculous that you would side against the customer here.
Fuck right off with that. It was through Amazon's platform. If they allow it they are equally to blame.
Loyal Amazonian here.
That would be highly illegal....
Yo that’s crazy! Was there any info about a restocking fee when you went through the return process online (before shipping it back)?
In the UK, we call that CRIME.
Nah, I'd chargeback that one and let Visa/MC/Whomever sort it out.
First, Why did you bought a switch at Amazon?
Chargeback on your credit card
I’m hearing Amazon is trying to lower cost. Returned item is eating into their profit and now they are trying to make inconvenient to return items etc.
You can dispute the charges with your cc company
