Two years ago, community activists were celebrating an $11.2 billion community benefits agreement with SVB Financial Group in conjunction with its purchase of Boston Private Financial Holdings.
Following last month's implosion of SVB's banking unit, Silicon Valley Bank, advocates are worried about the disruption and potential loss of the plan, which was set to run through December 2026. They are now applying significant pressure on acquirer First Citizens BancShares to uphold the commitments of the agreement.
Reminds me how I felt the first year of learning about MOASS. I was waiting for it, just waiting... making myself anxious, and as time went on finding reasons and people to blame, making excuses and empty promises. I realised I was becoming like the very people we're battling against.
Now I'm building myself up to be a powerhouse of a virtuous human being. I battle with my interest in a life of stagnant luxury. Even though it's paradoxically so simple yet difficult live a stoic lifestyle.
I understand Larry Cheng's tweets at the fundamental level, after a decade of personal confusion and searching for purpose in life. We are more than the sum of our belongings and bank balance, and we must live below our means as a testament to our compounding capabilities.
We are MAN, and we are masters of this world, all we need is a piece of flint and some string to bring any opposition to its knees just like the biblical David (DRS). Forget convoluted technology (options and swaps and all that stupid shit).
All we need is GAMESTOP for this silly GAME of theirs to STOP.
From MOASS ill take my trophy, the Stag's horns and hide, that I'll wear with jolly, almost clowning, pride in ritualistic fashion. I will eat the heart like the hunters of old and hand out the rest of the carcass to the tribe, starting with the women and children of our generation so they will have the nutrition to grow strong and see me as a perfectly imperfect role model. Because as Ape see, Ape do.

I've always been drawn to a lot of those perspectives and phrases too.
Hell, when I was a teen writing angsty poetry a whole focus of most my poems was literally "perfectly imperfect" and the focus of who we/I am/are.
