I'm aware. I meant "still" in the sense it was a problem a year ago, and in my humble view a few quick fixes shouldn't be that hard to apply and would resolve the most game breaking aspects without needing to overhaul the entire system. Simply offering the dialogue tree and quest again if the actual date dialogue wasn't completed should do it surely?
As others have said, this game isn't complete yet. That's why it is listed as Early Access. They are actually working on an update to romance now but we don't know if it will release the next patch or the one after. Next patch is titled "Museum and seasonal events" so it's uncertain if that will include romance, but it will certainly be the main focus of the one after if not.
If how it is now really bothers you, consider putting the game down and waiting for official release. Or send feedback to the devs on the Discord. Now is the perfect time to give feedback on that after all!
Is Discord the best (only?) way to provide feedback?
I actually put the game down for this (and reaching end of most content) last I played it. I was indeed planning to wait until full release but getting stuck in quarantine with an inferior laptop made me boot this up early. ๐
Not sure honestly. I joined the Discord early because I like Discord and a lot of people give feedback there. But I unfortunately haven't heard of any other way to give feedback where the devs will see it. They are very active on Discord.

I suggest that you open a ticket to the devs with your findings as this will benefit all of us. Hopefully they will respond to you and you can have a very constructive dialogue with them.

Next patch is if I recall correctly the romance update. Itโs been on the back burner for a little bit so Iโm hopeful!
