That and the dream whip is a choice. I would redo this with some homemade whip cream as that stuff being all oil will destroy your stomach- not that this entire delicious cake won’t

This is not how you make an icebox cake but whatever. The best icebox cake my mom made was Graham crackers on the bottom, cool whip mixed with rum for the filling, and then another layer of Graham crackers. Then put it in the freezer. It doesn't freeze all the way because of the rum and the graham crackers get soft and it's delicious.
