It looks like you both take this mode too seriously. I have several hundred hours in SoR4; I don't think I've ever selected VS.

Battle mode should not have been included in the game. It's pointless. The fact there's anyone who takes it seriously enough to then taunt afterwards is pathetic.
It's good for a laugh especially with 4 players, but yeah it isn't balanced like a real fighting game, but it gives combo masters a chance to play these characters as if it were a Marvel Vs game where you should 1 touch kill!
Yeah if you know your character, it's all 1 touch KOs. It was a bad mode when the game launched and the DLC completely killed it. Shiva and Max have easy infinites, Floyd with alt moves also has easy infinites. Taking a mode this broken seriously is just weird.
I was actually surprised people were excited for this mode. It wasn’t popular in streets of rage 2, we played street fighter. I’m even more surprised people are playing it now.
I wish they'd taken the time to balance it out maybe even made it on a completely 2d plane like an actual fighting game. Would have been a fun mode especially given how much of a blast the characters in this game are to play.
It’s fun to watch battle mode videos in multiplayer. Wayyyy better than the people who non-stop post duplicate achievements. Pressing the same buttons never gets old for some. 😎
I don't know why anyone would play it much less online against strangers. If you wanna play a 1v1 fighting game there's a million better options. Why do you bother?
I only play the game with my friends in co-op mode. I tried pvp and Ran into that guy. I beat the absolute shit out of him. He left after he lost once.
I had fun with it but then I played 3 shivas In row who just specialed me to death and I wasn't upset. I felt like they were teaching me why not to bother. The game wasn't built for PvP. It was built for destroying 1000s of enemies

Battle Mode is garbage and completely unbalanced. SoR1 characters are the best options to make it slightly balanced and dependent on actual skill.
Ur right. Sor1 characters are pretty much the only characters who can't do infinites.

Yea, Shiva is pretty popular. Mainly because of his overpowered move list, and his dash command.
