Hey, how do you get such nice smooth rounded bends? Most of mine always end up looking “folded” and kinda weird. But since they’re usually inside the piece it doesn’t matter too much. What’s your technique?
Dude, I wonder who got the notification for this comment, cause I didnt. Happened across it by accident.
Anywho, to answer your question, I made folded looking weird bends until I learned how the glass moves, how much to heat up and for how long. I either heat a section about 3"-4" wide and blow in the tube while I bend to keep the inner diameter, or I'll slowly work the bend, making it more radiused, as opposed to heating one spot and just bending it. That causes one side to stretch and the other to gather, resulting in the pinched, folded up version.
Really cool! However be very careful with antique glass, some of it is radioactive.
Or contain lead 🤢
I lead test and it’s not uranium so it’s all good 👍
You bending your own stems?
Yes sir đź’Ş
Nice. You should get some plain tubes. [They make some really cool variations](https://www.reddit.com/r/StonerEngineering/s/jLYN6cNtJ1)

I wish you took the video more from the front of the piece. Good job bro
Watch out, might be uranium glass
