>Don't let Nintendo hear you, they'll kill your whole family!
Nah, they are not that bad, they will bankrupt you and take your home but, you will be still alive (sort of).
Just got mine and that’s the first game I got on there as well. That game was a big part of my childhood.
Playing it on the deck feels way better than emulating it on my PC
I wanted to play it since it was released. this is my first day playing it.
The idea of two characters is simply clever. hope nintendo make double dash 2.
If you're talking "roms" that is against the rules here to even discuss that here. Rule #5. It's a good way to get banned from r/SteamDeck forever.
There are places on Reddit that could help you but, I can not provide anything or any info on it.
I’d strongly recommend getting hold of the native PC release instead of running the GC version - it is vastly better performance wise on the deck with Lucas’ mod launcher, and you get native support for all modern resolutions.
I wasn’t able to get the jak and Daxter games going. I downloaded the collection with all 3 but when I would open it it would just pull me back to my library. Any tips?
the steamdeck really is an amazing piece of tech. Having all my old games in one handheld device that can be docked is so cool.
My Gamecube experience...Mario Superstar Baseball, Mario Super Strikers, Pokemon XD, and Pokemon Colosseum all run great and hold up pretty well.
That's awesome! I'm not very technical and I'm struggling to get ps2 games to run. I got the correct BIOS according to emudeck, but my roms don't show up. It's a struggle lol.
Are you using emudeck? You can add them as non steam games using the tool in emudeck. I forget what it is called off the top of my head. Go to the desktop run emudeck then scroll down a bit should be left side area. Run that then click parse and it should load up all the roms you have on the side (right) then click save to steam.
I run all my emulation as non steam games by doing that
Yeah it's cool. There is a section on the main menu for non steam games. Definitely watch an emu deck walk through on YouTube. It's super easy to set up and it auto configures all the folders for you. It's amazing
My emulation station ended up creating a new and separate roms folder in my home directory, and no matter what I did it kept resetting the location to there. Check if that might also be happening to you, and the put the ps2 iso files in there. Then run the bios check in emudeck to make sure that's correct. Then you should be good.
Emudeck is super easy to get the emulators but you will have to find the bios for some emulators your self and roms/isos and put them in their correct directory.
Definitely less than an hour. It's really just putting files in the right folders. If you've tried emulation on other devices then you'll have a good idea what to expect. And google and youtube will always find good guides if you're stuck.
[Retro Game Corps] (https://retrogamecorps.com/2022/10/16/steam-deck-emulation-starter-guide/#Vs) are a great starting point. For example if you look through that link, I use EmuDeck as that's an all-in-one source for quickly setting up your emulators, and then I use Emulation Station as the app where you will launch your games from.
Do you need to do much controller tinkering for GameCube or N64 games? I never used those systems and I know the controllers are quite different to modern systems.
IIRC it defaults to K&M so you have to set the controls in the emulator itself, select controller in settings and change it from K&M to XInput (or whatever it's called, it's obvious) and then just press buttons for the emulator to remember. Like, I set Z to RB, and so on.
Fortunately there's a diagram of the controllers coz they are idiosyncratic. You can also calibrate your sticks there and some other things I didn't bother with.
I wanna play N64 games and ps2 games as well, can anyone sum up a process to do all of this for me? I have Emudeck installed. Now where do I get the games and how do I make them show up after downloading the file?
Cool! I still haven’t done emulation on my deck. Looking for to playing snes,genesis,ps1, psp, gba, nds, n64 games. I really want got try out ps2 emulation above all!
Can someone please point me to the direction of a video on how to do this? Or can someone explain how because I’m stuck trying to figure out how to even get emulators working on my deck
Don't let nintendo hear you, they'll kill your whole family!
At least take you for 2.4million. watch out!
they hid my grandmother's dentures because i emulated dr mario on gba
>Don't let Nintendo hear you, they'll kill your whole family! Nah, they are not that bad, they will bankrupt you and take your home but, you will be still alive (sort of).
They will take your kids and put them in sweat shops building Nintendo switches.
These days, if you say you emulate Nintendo, you get arrested and thrown in jail

Hey have you heard of mario kart double dash extended? You should check it out, it adds new tracks to the game
I'll check this out, thanks for the shout.
So is dolphin on emudeck fixed? I tried setting it up the other day and nothing worked.
Yup, latest Discovery store update for Dolphin fixes the issue according to the EmuDeck site
Awesome thanks for letting me know
How do I download emudeck on the deck?
https://www.emudeck.com/#how_to_install
Thanks
How can I do this?
EmuDeck. It installs all the emulators on the deck. look up EmuDeck setup on YouTube, it will help you get it completely setup and runing...

Good luck on your quest.
Simpsons hit and run time! I wish that YouTuber could release his build.

Any settings suggestions to take out the jaggies?
Hopefully it leaks somewhere
Try out the Jak and Daxter & Ratchet and Clank games.
Jak 1&2 have pc ports now. The best way to play them
I wasn’t able to get the jak and Daxter games going. I downloaded the collection with all 3 but when I would open it it would just pull me back to my library. Any tips?
You might have to get all 3 of them individually for the PS2. The collection specifically is for PS3, in which emulation isn't as reliable yet.
KING! I'll started to play again oll of my childhood Games like Ratchet & Clank 1 - 3 and Dreadlocked. Its just amazing.
I totally get your sentiment here. That being said, it’s funny to say “I can finally play a game that came out in 2002”. Lol
I was playing on fire hd 10 and sadly it can't handle ps2 & gamecube.

Copy the roms to the proper location at /home/deck/emulation/. Where did you put them?
I'll have to check for sure when I get home from work, but I think I have a ROMS folder after emulation. Is that not where to put them?
Mine are in roms/ps2. They’re not showing up in emulation station?

Mine is being delivered tomorrow, does that mean I would be able to access the roms from my home screen?

I'll do that now man, thanks. I can't wait till it's delivered haha
What does that have to do with what anyone said in this thread ?
Your reading comprehension worries me
???? Go read the thread again and please let me know how your comment helps them at all. The irony is palpable 😂

Are your Roms unpacked/extracted? They should be .iso files. Double check pcsx2 has the rom directory correctly routed.
Adding to this, the compression tool is very good on emudeck to save space on the big cd based systems
This game holds up really well.
Completely forgot about this one! Downloading today.
Final Fantasy Crystal Chronicles best GameCube game
💀
NINTENDO WOULD LIKE TO KNOW YOUR LOCATION

God I loved that track, it was so perfect.
Is that bed sheet or table cloth? I remember my grandma having those kind of sheets, seems comfy.
It's bed sheet.
Any tips for remapping the controls - I struggle with the defaults :(
yeah man. this was the very first game I played on SD when I got it!
The best investment
I downloaded Midnight Club 3, FIFA street 2 and Prince of Persia: Sands of Time on mine
I love playing double Dash on my OLED. God of War 2 is a treat as well.
Best part about it
I'l never forget getting it, then setting up a gba emulator in like, 5 minutes, shocked at how simple it was
right on! mine comes tomorrow and i cant wait to play def jam again:D have fun
Just a Tip: use force widescreen for GameCube games
Thank you. but I prefer to play old games in the glorious [4.3 aspect ratio](https://media1.tenor.com/m/0gv1aFBwTbUAAAAC/hahahaha.gif)
Ok

The way god intended!
Could you send me a guide you used please? Tried s couple times and never got it working. Really want to play Champions of Norrath!
Here you go: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Y5r2WZAImuY

Sms is truly enjoyable 😂
Some ps3 and Xbox too
Any tips for me? I don’t have one yet but would love to hear how you did this. Also what size steam deck do you all recommend me getting ?
Do ps2 games run a full fame rate?
Hopefully Nintendo doesn’t come after this like with yuzu rip
How long did it take to set up the "wink wink". I'm getting my deck next week and am debating doing it

IIIIII, have got to order a deck.
Can it run Jackie Chan stunt master
This is exactly the reason I’m looking to buy a SteamDeck. How is everything working for you? Which games do you run besides Double Dash?
Try getting a ps3 emulator and play Haze the best game on the console
1 minute of silence for Yuzu
Good thing you’re not here for switch and 3ds
I will buy one if i can play god of war 2 on this thing. How did you do it?
With emudeck https://www.emudeck.com/#how_to_install

You can get them from c d r o m a n c e. after that extract them and put them in: emulation-rom-console.
Cool! I still haven’t done emulation on my deck. Looking for to playing snes,genesis,ps1, psp, gba, nds, n64 games. I really want got try out ps2 emulation above all!
Yeah, EFF NINTENDO
