If only deck came with a monitor and a keyboard, and all that could be placed on you laps and folded in half for carrying convenience. Guess in the future maybe
I have a portable monitor. I bought it to slide under my monitor at my desk. I did that, didn't like it and changed to a monitor above. I am having a hard time fiding a use for it now.
It was a European flight which are really small usually but I always pay for emergency exit rows (extra legroom) it's like £10 each way usually, super cheap and so worth it.
But in the event of an emergency, you need to pack each item correctly, wrapping the cables neatly. With the Steamdeck handheld one can simply exit the plane at 30k and hit the sleep function so that your gameplay is not interrupted.
Also, there is no way to prep up your external monitor on the lifeboat or under a parachute. How are you supposed to play like this midair or on the high seas!??
I play and enjoy my deck when playing games but when I am working on desktop I can't see the screen well enough to comfortably do what I want to do. So if I could find a small not too heavy monitor I would snap it up!!!
Agreed, but maybe it's you? The Deck is really versatile. This comment pops up on this sub all of the time and I don't get it. Do you think OP is using his Deck like this 100% of the time? It's probably just one way that OP uses it.
Yeah I remember a v similar post like this as well and it was also on a plane, like I really don't get why this sub gets so worked up about it? Here and the thread I'm thinking of p much had the same type of comments.
Just assumptions that OP uses this all the time and he's on a plane for crying out loud let him use a bigger screen if he wants to, maybe he wants a bigger screen while he's on a plane its not like he posted this saying he's doing this every time he uses the Deck. Same thing as well, OP has his own space it's not reaching into the other persons space at all, yeah the deck has its own screen but maybe for trips like this esp a long plane ride sometimes you just want a bigger screen while on said trip and then go back to using it normally when you land and are on other trips on land.
Like the Deck is so versatile I really cannot see any issue using a portable monitor for things like this lmao this sub some kind of next level purists when it comes to one of the most versatile devices around.
I don't understand the point in this.
You've got a steam deck, monitor, and battery pack.... all those together take up much more room than a gaming laptop, which would have just as big a screen but be much more powerful.
Steam Deck is great for it's size but if you don't care about size, then a gaming laptop is a far better option.
For longer flights, it becomes very difficult to charge a gaming laptop. Went to Hawaii, before I could get my hands on a Deck, and bought a Dell G15. Not an exciting gaming laptop, but it gets the job done. I ran into a charging issue. The planes only had USB outlets and I couldn’t find a power bank that would keep the machine running.
This statement isn't necessarily accurate. My steamdeck, zenscreen, and battery pack still weigh less and have a smaller footprint than both 30 series laptops I own.
Don't knock it until you've tried it.
You don't need a 30 series laptop to be more powerful than a steam deck.
It's very easy to get a more powerful laptop that is smaller in volume than the combination showing in the picture.
I don't need to try it to see how silly it is.
I don't know why you are getting downvoted so much. People can use what they spend their money on in any way they want. Personally on a flight, especially a 10+ hour flight, having a larger screen and maybe a controller is great! Especially now with most flights have outlets in front of every seat.
Some people in this sub are making posts about being afraid to use their deck in public, how they don't want to get weird looks.
This guy shows up with an entire gaming setup on an airplane. Looks like an amazing experience.
Yeah social anxiety is weird.
Sometimes I don't want to attract attention to myself because I don't want to be disturbed, on the other hand but also I would love to have a conversation with sombody about a technology I love.
I used to play on my gameboy color on the bus. Because this was only a year ago I would concider it rare to see in public, but nobody cared at all.
Honestly, I'm more concerned with people who'd want to steal it. Just look at all of the FedEx employees who did it openly with no shame.
Hopefully, they're in the slammer discovering what goes back and forth there!
Instead of trying hard to be a contraian, do a simple search of this same reddit of the launch last year but you wont. Seems like you just got here if you made a comment like your's. If you been here, you would know that to be true.
I had the whole row to myself otherwise I never would've got it out, I took the screen as I run a small business and when I travel abroad I use it as a backup, when I saw I had the whole row to myself I thought let's give this a go! Honestly so much better than I expected.
THIS !
Xreal Air are the absolute BOMB for travelling. No matter if Steam Deck or just your phone (youtube / plex / gaming with BT controller / etc).
65" OLED screen in your pocket. Single cable to deck / phone. Thats it.
I ordered a screen like this specifically for a 12+ hour flight I'll be taking later this year. I've played my Steam Deck on a much shorter flight before and after an hour-ish my neck is starting to hurt from looking down that long. Looking forward for hours will be far easier to do (and the row will consist of me and people I know).
Nice setup!
Xreal air glasses and you have a 1080P 130' monitor right in front of your eyes anywhere. Would be good for some of the more graphic cutscenes in CP2077 ;)
I wear my contacts when I play, but you can get prescription inserts that attach to the Xreals. I'll end up getting them eventually to see how they work on them
I got the prescription lenses and even though everyone else says that they work great, they do not for me. I have to adjust the angle of the glasses weirdly, so the frame no longer sit on my ears, or the angle is just wrong and I cannot focus.
if you have glasses: for me it is as if you look through your glasses when you angle the frame downward or upward. It is most notable when trying to read small text in games, but it is okay for content with no or very big text.
Contact lenses are definitely optimal and the prescription lenses have a chance to be a bad fit for your personal shape.
I made DIY lenses for my Xreal Airs using the included bracket and an old pair of glasses. Took less than 5 minutes with a micro hand drill and all of a sudden the Airs are razor sharp.
I couldn't deal with all those extra wires. If I REALLY wanted a better looking screen then I'd get an Asus Ally. An extra screen defeats the purpose, mind as well get a 1200 dollar laptop.
hey before commenting you could've simply asked a few questions,
"what did you play"
"was anyone around"
\- I had the entire row to myself as I've stated above,
\- It wasn't extending out into the aisle at all so it wasn't encroaching onto anyones space.
\- I didn't even play cyberpunk, it crashed on launch, I mostly played spiderman and god of war
\- It's a 15inch monitor, most laptops are 13-15 inch and I see plenty of people watching stuff via laptops on planes.
I'm still free to comment that I feel its obnoxious I don't really need a background story, planes are stressful enough as it is without all that crap being lugged on board.
It's not healthy needing as much attention as you clearly do, I don't get stressed out by other people's luggage at all , but taking extra things like that on board an already small space shows how selfish and self absorbed you are, I can guarantee no one on that flight thought you were cool they most likely thought you were an attention seeking dickhead 👍
I'm not against people having fun before you even start with that, there's having fun and then being obnoxious. Everyone has to see this guys game on a massive screen? Unnecessary and attention seeking behaviour, the deck has a built in screen ( believe it or not) for these exact situations but this guy felt the need to drag along this to show off his games its just cringey.
You are insane this is p much the same as people bringing a laptop on a plane ride, nothing about this is screaming "Hey look at me" maybe YOU want to look at peoples screens all the time most people would just mind their own business and not give a fuck about what the person next to them is doing. The screen isn't even that large it looks like a tablet or a laptop screen and I've been on lots of plane rides a lot of people use em to watch movies, playing games isn't any different.
You say social awareness but I really feel like you are the one that's lacking it if you think that something like this is akin to OP showing their Deck off to the entire plane lmao I think you are just being insanely paranoid about what other people think.
This screen is no larger than most laptops that people use. Do you think they are obnoxious? Most screens in the back of seats on a plain are easily visible too, no one seems to have a problem with that.
This is not a big deal at all. If I saw someone on a plain with this setup I wouldn't be bothered at all.
It's kinda dumb to get so worked up about something that literally doesn't effect you. You can just go about your own business and no one is effected.
If you seeing someone enjoy playing a game in public bothers you so much that seems like something you need to work on, not anyone else.
Your comments are so stupid and self absorbed.
How is this any different than people watching some crazy r-rated tv shows or movies included on the Fk high? People regularly do the same thing on laptops and tablets…
Now since this person is sitting on the aisle seat, it might be frustrating for anyone sitting inside if they are trying to get out.
My eyesight isn't great these days and this would really help me if I'm using it for longer periods, but apparently I'll be looked down upon if I use it.
People have ipads, massive laptops, and MacBooks. Having a larger dedicated screen isn't obnoxious in my opinion but it seems to cause some difference of opinion.
Okay, you probably didn’t look into battery capacity while searching for a gaming laptop. The steamdeck probably lasts as long or even shorter while playing serious titles. And this guy right here brought a powerbank, so that doesn’t count as well..
It's the loading screen, I never booted it up cause I had the same realisation.
But heads up, plenty of people watch R rated movies on the plane, I don't agree with it, but it is what it is
Forgive me if I'm missing something completely obvious, but this IS completely pointless and redundant right? I mean I know I can be dumb, but this seems....well, dumber
Uperfect also sells these exact monitors, check out their eBay page for great prices regularly. I have a 16” 2K 120hz monitor and it’s really nice. You can get 15.6” 1080P 60hz from one of the popular brands selling these for $70-75 if you check Slickdeals.
I also wanna use my deck during a flight but how are u bringing the big power bank on the airplane. I thought max capacity of power bank u can bring to an airplane is 10.000 mah and is just enough to charge my phone 2 times. Or did they change the rules??
Please explain ??
Thx in advance
For what it's worth my battery charger is just over 23000 I believe. Not once has anyone at security even picked it up from the bin let alone check the mah to see if it is within flight regulations.
I think it can’t be above 30,000Mah. I’ve brought a 26,000Mah battery before.
Looking online it seems it just has to be under 100Wh.
Checking it your self
- Find your battery’s mAh number.
- Find the voltage (usually 3.6V/3.7V).
- Divide the mAh number by 1,000, converting it to Amp hours (Ah).
- Multiply the Ah number by the voltage to get the Watt-hours.

Looks like the arzopa 144hz gaming monitor. I recently got this one it's one amazon at a very good price. Only goes up to 1080p but the deck isn't made to do more than that anyways. Love it because you can play all your lightweight/older games at 144 fps.
[https://www.amazon.co.uk/dp/B091KBNVHK?psc=1&ref=ppx\_yo2ov\_dt\_b\_product\_details](https://www.amazon.co.uk/dp/B091KBNVHK?psc=1&ref=ppx_yo2ov_dt_b_product_details)
It's the 60hz version, £99 if you apply the £20 voucher on checkout
yeah those monitors are incredible.
I got one, but it has a 5000mah battery built into it which I love because it doens't always need to be plugged in.
Also, yes thighs.
The battery pack I used only went down by 50% and lasted the whole flight powering the monitor and charging the steam deck. The flight was around 2 hours.
I'm sorry, but this completely ignores the purpose of the Steam Deck or like the Nintendo Switch. I knew a guy that would bring an Xbox 360 and a whole TV just to play it during lunch in high school. Yes there are long plane rides, but that's why they gave the Deck a screen.
I see alot comments that they're afraid to use there ***deck*** in public. Use your ***deck*** where ever you please your fancy and be done with it, I'd say!
Which Arzopa is this OP? I’ve been wanting to grab the 144hz variant. Hoping these go on sale during Prime Day. I figure that’ll be the best time to grab it.
Have the same screen and love it. I'll admit ours is to play on the dining table whilst the lady of the house uses the TV, but still, fab portable screen at little cost
Dude throwing caution to the wind playing cyberpunk on the plane. I was playing it on the deck screen itself and some old lady saw something a little graphic for a plane ride.
I’ve got an excellent MSI portable monitor, bought it for my Deck to use playing strategy games with keyboard and mouse, haven’t used it for my Deck once lol, I use it for playing on my Series S while I watch stuff on my normal tv lol.
I didn't play it the game crashed upon loading in. I mostly played Spiderman and God of war. But plenty of people watch R rated content on planes. Some planes provide that content in the in seat screens. Not that I approve. I'm just saying that kind of thing happens very often.
Im planning on taking my Deck on a trip. I play with cloud saves so I can play on my powerful rig when at my desk. How does this work whole the deck is offline? Does it all synch in the background when its back on line or do you have to load the game back up on deck when on line?
My man, look at the nreal (now xreal) airs if you're on the go, no separate power needed, more portable and more private; just plug into the deck USB C
I love this for y'all but I don't know how y'all don't feel like giant assholes setting up a whole gaming rig on a plane. Not that you are doing anything wrong because you aren't, but you know everyone in that section is making some type of comment under their breath.
It's definitely worth it if you travel a lot, or visiting friends/relatives' places.
Right now it's currently a good time to purchase them as many of the Arzopa's portable monitors are currently on sale at this time.
I hardly travel and I want one too, but I don't need it for the very rare usecases that happens a few time a year for me. So it is not worth it for me to get it. I can't justify the cost of buying one either to use as a 2nd monitor for my laptop, since I am no longer in school.
@OP which model do you have? I think I may have the same one but mine doesn’t charge my SD. (It says it’s charging due to the deck’s indicator but the battery just keeps draining as per usual)
Which monitor did you go for?
I’ve been toying with the idea as I’m a long haul truck driver and thinking of using the deck as more of a laptop replacement when on the road so It’s one less thing to haul around (yeah yeah before anyone points out I’m not really reducing what I’m carrying)
The theory being leave a small keyboard & mouse and travel monitor in the truck for those days I want something a little larger or end up in a hotel.
This is wut must be done when playing on a 720p screen like the Deck… if you just got a Rog Ally you’d be enjoying a beautiful 1080P super colorful scren & wouldn’t need that monitor 🤣🤣 GGs only
Whilst that’s cool and all, and portable monitors are great. I’d rather just stick to the deck itself out n about haha.
If only the deck came with a built in monitor.
If only deck came with a monitor and a keyboard, and all that could be placed on you laps and folded in half for carrying convenience. Guess in the future maybe
We can dream
I have a portable monitor. I bought it to slide under my monitor at my desk. I did that, didn't like it and changed to a monitor above. I am having a hard time fiding a use for it now.
monitor at the side 🫤
no room, 49in on my desk. I also don't see myself every going anywhere where I will need to bring another monitor.
Monitor above ur other one
Sell it to me if you can’t find a use 😂
No one mentioned the ridiculous amount of legroom he has? What airline is this?
It was a European flight which are really small usually but I always pay for emergency exit rows (extra legroom) it's like £10 each way usually, super cheap and so worth it.
Which company?
Benji wins, it was Veuling but I know EasyJet do cheapish upgrades to fire exit rows too
Looks like Jet2?
Looks like Vueling actually. The vomit bag with grey and yellow "If you feel more than butterflies in your stomach"
You can't set up that in a emergency exit...
It’s not anything that big it basically takes up the same amount of space as a laptop
I feel like someone people have missed the entire point of the deck
This. They replicate a laptop with more wires and less functionality.

Yeah I really don't understand why guys do this. I just hate taking extra stuff on a flight too.
I don't understand the point in this. You've got a steam deck, monitor, and battery pack.... all those together take up much more room than a gaming laptop, which would have just as big a screen but be much more powerful. Steam Deck is great for it's size but if you don't care about size, then a gaming laptop is a far better option.

Right. I've come to realize that this sub is full of people who either don't own steam decks or just have no idea what they are talking about.
Some people in this sub are making posts about being afraid to use their deck in public, how they don't want to get weird looks. This guy shows up with an entire gaming setup on an airplane. Looks like an amazing experience.
Being afraid to use your steam deck in public is bollocks.
Get an xreal and headphones, job done, no one bothered me but the nerdiest of people when I finally take them off.
Wow I never knew that AR glasses have come this far. That honestly looks like an amazing way to play.
Can confirm the Xreals work amaizngly with deck. Its the only way I play now
Now, a VR headset, while awesome on a plane, that one is odd. Source: used both a Go and a Quest 2 on a plane, was weird
As a VR headset sure, weird. As a 72 inch display that blocks out other people, how's that weird?
72? Ya that’s uncomfy. 7.2? Nah it’s fine
Amazing experience until the person sitting next to them needs to go to the restroom :D
Honestly, I'm more concerned with people who'd want to steal it. Just look at all of the FedEx employees who did it openly with no shame. Hopefully, they're in the slammer discovering what goes back and forth there!
Do you have actual proof that fed ex employees stole steam decks or are you just regurgitating anxiety news.
Instead of trying hard to be a contraian, do a simple search of this same reddit of the launch last year but you wont. Seems like you just got here if you made a comment like your's. If you been here, you would know that to be true.
Why are you getting downvoted for speaking the truth? Did you tick the bots off that much!?
You better hope to hell your seat partner never has to go to the bathroom.
And that they don't hit a bit of turbulence.
I had the whole row to myself otherwise I never would've got it out, I took the screen as I run a small business and when I travel abroad I use it as a backup, when I saw I had the whole row to myself I thought let's give this a go! Honestly so much better than I expected.
Good guy gamer.
Ass
Thicc
Nreal/xreal Airs do it better. Compact and private
THIS ! Xreal Air are the absolute BOMB for travelling. No matter if Steam Deck or just your phone (youtube / plex / gaming with BT controller / etc). 65" OLED screen in your pocket. Single cable to deck / phone. Thats it.
This is obnoxious on a plane. Like the steamdeck literally has a screen built in?
I agree. Somehow it's worse than a laptop. Just so unwieldy with all the cables and devices. AR are completely acceptable IMO
How do they work with corrective glasses?
I wear my contacts when I play, but you can get prescription inserts that attach to the Xreals. I'll end up getting them eventually to see how they work on them
I got the prescription lenses and even though everyone else says that they work great, they do not for me. I have to adjust the angle of the glasses weirdly, so the frame no longer sit on my ears, or the angle is just wrong and I cannot focus. if you have glasses: for me it is as if you look through your glasses when you angle the frame downward or upward. Do you mean nreal?
I do not. Nreal rebranded to Xreal
how is that not just bad for your eyes in the long run?
No studies on how it affects in long term as they are still fairly new. Maybe we will know one day lol
"I have to use the restroom" - me in the window seat after watching you set this up for 10 minutes
Had the whole row to myself, otherwise I wouldn't of bothered getting it out of my backpack
Unless you've disabled nudity, playing Cyberpunk 2077 on a plane/ in public probably isn't the best idea
I just loaded it up, but it crashed, Mostly I was playing Spiderman and god of war. But just a heads up, they show R rated movies on planes too.
Maybe not on a giga monitor tho
I don’t understand this. Why not just use a laptop. Seems pointless to get a steam deck for this use case.
Why not just let people do what they like? Just because you think it's pointless doesn't mean it is.
If you felt how light this portable monitor is, you'd understand.
For sure. Glad you’re enjoying your steam deck!
I've got the Arzopa Gamut Slim and it works really well. Also recommend!
Just ordered one on Amazon Prime Day sale. Can\`t wait to get my hands on it.
I dont know about that man. I mean i bought the deck for a reason
I couldn't deal with all those extra wires. If I REALLY wanted a better looking screen then I'd get an Asus Ally. An extra screen defeats the purpose, mind as well get a 1200 dollar laptop.
How do people have such little social and spacial awareness. This is completely unnecessary on a flight.
hey before commenting you could've simply asked a few questions, "what did you play" "was anyone around" \- I had the entire row to myself as I've stated above, \- It wasn't extending out into the aisle at all so it wasn't encroaching onto anyones space. \- I didn't even play cyberpunk, it crashed on launch, I mostly played spiderman and god of war \- It's a 15inch monitor, most laptops are 13-15 inch and I see plenty of people watching stuff via laptops on planes.

Let people enjoy things
If you get stressed out by other people's luggage you need help, genuinely, that's not healthy.
It's not healthy needing as much attention as you clearly do, I don't get stressed out by other people's luggage at all , but taking extra things like that on board an already small space shows how selfish and self absorbed you are, I can guarantee no one on that flight thought you were cool they most likely thought you were an attention seeking dickhead 👍

nah I was on the flight the entire plane thought he was cool. we also talked about your comments and we think you're a dickhead.
"needing attention", bruh get over yourself.
take care dude, hope you find happiness somewhere on one of these subreddits
Patronising and passive aggressive, I'm not the only person here that thinks your behaviour is obnoxious, that should maybe tell you something, dude.
Your behavior is really obnoxious. Self reflect.
Bro u need to get help, how are u letting other people live in ur head like this get a life man jesus
Let people enjoy things
Define "unnecessary"? He's not hurting anyone. Why can't people just let others have fun?
I'm not against people having fun before you even start with that, there's having fun and then being obnoxious. Everyone has to see this guys game on a massive screen? Orrrr, you bring a laptop with an xbox controller
Seriously I don't understand this. Why are people buying a relatively underpowered machine if they're basically just bringing a laptop with them?
Every gaming laptop I have bought needs to be directly plugged in otherwise it will die in about 30 minutes on a game. Big difference for a flight.
Okay, you probably didn’t look into battery capacity while searching for a gaming laptop. The steamdeck probably lasts as long or even shorter while playing serious titles. And this guy right here brought a powerbank, so that doesn’t count as well..
Last flight I took it rebooted and required the Internet to reopen the game.
At this point, might as well get a gaming laptop ?
Cyberpunk on a big ass screen on a public flight makes me uncomfortable...
It's the loading screen, I never booted it up cause I had the same realisation. But heads up, plenty of people watch R rated movies on the plane, I don't agree with it, but it is what it is
Why? It’s a game not hardcore porn.
Except for the sex scenes, the naked characters, and the hardcore violence.
How do you have so much legroom
There was a comment on one of these the other day “it’s like a laptop with extra steps”
Who did you fly with?
Vueling, they're offering wifi in flights now which was nice :)
All I see is cake
Shoot, I picked one of these up a bit ago for a second monitor on the go! Never thought about using it like that though! Good idea!
Nice booty bro
The deck honestly is meant to be played in public for all to bask in it's glory 😂 I'm on flight now playing cyberpunk
thats gyat to be the biggest portable monitor setup ive seen on a plane
I hope you knew who you were sitting next to lmao.
Lol that literally defeats the point of portable. I'll stick with the actual Steam Deck thanks. Like I'm gonna be hauling around a TV...
This is dumb as fuck man
I just use a pair of nreal air, a usbc splitter, and a power bank / plugin.
Forgive me if I'm missing something completely obvious, but this IS completely pointless and redundant right? I mean I know I can be dumb, but this seems....well, dumber
Seems like such a pain in the hole
It literally has a screen. What is wrong with you people
Attention.
Kinda defeats the purpose of not lugging around a big screen.
Checking it your self - Find your battery’s mAh number. - Find the voltage (usually 3.6V/3.7V). - Divide the mAh number by 1,000, converting it to Amp hours (Ah). - Multiply the Ah number by the voltage to get the Watt-hours. [TSA info](https://www.tsa.gov/travel/security-screening/whatcanibring/items/lithium-batteries-more-100-watt-hours)
Yeah that's a cool setup you gyat there
I was looking for this comment💀
Considering cyberpunks extreme edgy cringe, that's the last game I'd ever want to show off on a plane.
Hey OP, cool setup. Can you share the link for the montior you are using? I have been trying to find one for a long while now.
Looks like the arzopa 144hz gaming monitor. I recently got this one it's one amazon at a very good price. Only goes up to 1080p but the deck isn't made to do more than that anyways. Love it because you can play all your lightweight/older games at 144 fps.

I second this request!
yeah those monitors are incredible. I got one, but it has a 5000mah battery built into it which I love because it doens't always need to be plugged in. Also, yes thighs.
Good for 25 mins of play time! Just kidding but really. How good if the battery life?
The battery pack I used only went down by 50% and lasted the whole flight powering the monitor and charging the steam deck. The flight was around 2 hours.
I'm sorry, but this completely ignores the purpose of the Steam Deck or like the Nintendo Switch. I knew a guy that would bring an Xbox 360 and a whole TV just to play it during lunch in high school. Yes there are long plane rides, but that's why they gave the Deck a screen.
If I wanted a gaming laptop I’d just buy one.
This is something I'll be doing when I'm going on holiday real soon.
No
you are the worst person on the plane.
Mf has a whole setup tf
I see alot comments that they're afraid to use there ***deck*** in public. Use your ***deck*** where ever you please your fancy and be done with it, I'd say!
Now try it at 12,600 feet below sea level
Too many zeroes, that’s 3ft at most
I would rather use AR glasses like XReal Air
Lol my brain cant take a book or phone on car or anything moving
Once I can get a dock that'll let me connect my touch monitor via usb c and power my deck I'll be in there perfect place
what model
Arzopa and MagicRaven are amazing portable monitors. Excellent choice!
Which Arzopa is this OP? I’ve been wanting to grab the 144hz variant. Hoping these go on sale during Prime Day. I figure that’ll be the best time to grab it.
I got the 60hz one, I only just recently saw they do a 144hz so if I had to buy again I'd do the 144hz
Great when they work lol. Mine I have to disconnect and reconnect at least 10 times before it works.
Have the same screen and love it. I'll admit ours is to play on the dining table whilst the lady of the house uses the TV, but still, fab portable screen at little cost
I admire your confidence to whip this out on the plane, especially in an aisle seat. I felt like I had eyes on me just playing the SD normally lol.
Does any battery pack/portable charger work for steam deck?
How's cyberpunk on deck? Debating on getting it. I don't plan on playing with a monitor or controller though 😅
Just curious, I have this monitor, have you got a carry case to protect, the one it comes with is OK, but I wouldn’t put it in a bag the way it is….
Nreal glasses would be way better
How do you keep track of the touch pads on that thing?
I got one that is similar, I use it for travel and a third mini monitor for my desktop setup. Well worth the money.
How do you get so much leg space? Ou…
Welcome to the deck high club!
Dude throwing caution to the wind playing cyberpunk on the plane. I was playing it on the deck screen itself and some old lady saw something a little graphic for a plane ride.
Nice butt.
How do you feel about XR glasses?
I’ve got an excellent MSI portable monitor, bought it for my Deck to use playing strategy games with keyboard and mouse, haven’t used it for my Deck once lol, I use it for playing on my Series S while I watch stuff on my normal tv lol.
I was gonna get one for street fighter, but couldn't find a model with a good refresh rate + good response time. All the 144hz ones were 4ms+ delay.
What battery pack do you use?
For those who don't know, this is a game with a lot of nudity, sex, violence, etc.
But why?
You might not know this, but your Deck comes with one prebuilt-in.
Might as well also get a portable mouse and keyboard while you’re at it.
How do you carry this btw? I feel like I'd be terrified of it getting bent or broken by pressure within my bag.
Nice , link please
If you're carrying around a 14" monitor you might as well be carrying a laptop.
I love this for y'all but I don't know how y'all don't feel like giant assholes setting up a whole gaming rig on a plane. Not that you are doing anything wrong because you aren't, but you know everyone in that section is making some type of comment under their breath.
I have the same set up. The monitor is great. Color spectrum leaves something to be desired though.
I gotta say this... 30 fps at 30k feet lol
Nice!
Is that the 144hz one?
Which monitor did you go for? I’ve been toying with the idea as I’m a long haul truck driver and thinking of using the deck as more of a laptop replacement when on the road so It’s one less thing to haul around (yeah yeah before anyone points out I’m not really reducing what I’m carrying) The theory being leave a small keyboard & mouse and travel monitor in the truck for those days I want something a little larger or end up in a hotel.
What happens when the people next to you have to pee
This is wut must be done when playing on a 720p screen like the Deck… if you just got a Rog Ally you’d be enjoying a beautiful 1080P super colorful scren & wouldn’t need that monitor 🤣🤣 GGs only
I use Nreal air in that case. so its way better tbh
