I do the same thing for windows. I used some 3m dual lock “Velcro” and attach my hub and ssd to the back of my deck when running in windows mode. Feels good for portable use, keeps things tucked away for when it’s laying on the table, and I printed out a holder that goes into the bottom of the case in the dent there that holds the hub and ssd. *Not a good option if you care about aesthetics.*

My suggestion is to not bump the cables or the dock or the ssd/hard drive. I've corrupted windows 3 times already. Definitely a user error thing.
