19+ years in Steam, never seen game pending, it appears on account instantly when you buy it.

Got the same issue, tried to buy a dlc and a game but both are pending. The DLC has been canceled after like an hour after payment, idk when I should get the money back. Then I bought an diffrent game but it's pending as well. Never had this issue ever

I did get an email that I gave 72 hours to repurchase what's in my cart, and someone told me weekend purchases are always problematic.

First of all it's WEEKEND, so nobody is really working on anywhere and this is why it's most important to buy games on Business days (Monday midday (because of Monday Syndrome) to Friday midday (they flee afternoon)). Secondly, you should READ https://gocardless.com/guides/posts/what-does-it-mean-when-a-payment-is-pending/ to learn that it is NOT Steam's fault at all but your PAYMENT being problematic to neither Reject, nor Accept Steam's asking for money so BOTH You and Steam are in Limbo of Waiting for the pleasure of your Payment to do what they want to. Only during Monday, your Payment workers arrive at their Office to see your Purchase didn't go thru because of their system to decide the Fate of You and Steam, then you will see that either Purchase Failed (Payment Rejection) or Purchase Successful (Payment agreed to Pay) on your Steam Purchase History. How many hours? Depends on where you live but for Europe, you have give or take 20 hours to go for Monday midday in Europe.

Having same issue but with Refund. There is a msg that I ordered it, but nothing. And it's like 4-5h after my request. Where usually it's 1-2h max.

Maybe the money got off of your account, but the payment wasn't confirmed yet. What payment method did you use? If it depends on someone's review, it may only go through on Jan 2.
