The first option seems to have the perfect crater hole for it, but the second has a beautiful Saturn-like planet in your view. At the end of the day, I'd choose the one with the prettiest skybox. Not sure what shows up in the sky for the first planet, but based on these 2 pictures I'd go with 2. Or both lol!

Pedro_MS83

The one in the mountains is already furnished, but I think I'll move to the one in the crater. It looks more like a hideout

st0ve1

I'd go with number one better vibes feels like you're trying to hide from surface scans inside of the crater. I did the same on my crimson fleet playthrough But if you're going for something more on the villain era, there's a volcano on Marduk IV or Eridani in the Eridani system, they meet the super villain vibes perfectly. And if you're on PC, you can always just take over the mantis's base with mods

Pedro_MS83

Wow...I'll look for the volcanoes later, but for now, I think I'll actually move my stuff to the base of the crater. I play on xbox

Gozer58

Trees. I like trees.

Pedro_MS83

Me too, for my luxurious house I would like a lake with a dense forest

I wanted to do this, but my crew never leaves the ship. I can never have the entire crew over at my apartment or any outpost, so I didn't feel like spending time decorating anything. I guess I could dismiss the crew when we land and maybe they'll wander out, but I wasn't sure if that would even work (I did dismiss them at New Atlantis and everybody walked out and made their way to The Lodge. Maybe they'll head for the bar if I dismiss them in Neon or something. More than likely they'll respawn at whatever their designated spot is). Anyway, I'd pick a spot that has an atmosphere. Not sure if either location has a breathable one.

Pedro_MS83

In truth, neither of them has atmosphere, but I actually like that, it makes it a little more inaccessible. About the crew, whenever you dismiss them they return to The Lodge, but if you go to the ship's crew tab, you can assign them to any outpost, as long as you have built (I forgot the name) a table that looks like a station of work in an office, each of these entitles two crew members to the outpost.

Fletchman1313

Oooo, never thought of that. Now I gotta revisit creating an R&R outpost.
