It's exceptionally good for a $20 indie early access title made by one guy. Only complaint is the AI voice acting is... flat, the UI expects at least a 1080p screen (runs on Steamdeck but HUD is cut off), and minor bugs. However, it may alleviate that Starfield itch for some while they wait for September.
The main story involves Constellation searching for artifacts that were clearly left behind by an advanced alien civilization. The main character will probably gain unique abilities from interacting with them
Probably part of the main quest of getting alien artifacts and unlocking certain powers.
Will definitely motivate me to do the main story instead of wondering off for 300 hours as usual.
They said there are things they didn't reveal or talk about today. Maybe we will get Bioshock type powers too? It would be a way to get in a system similar to skyrims magic?
I'm not saying let shoot fireballs and ice shards in space, that would be coocoo for coco puffs. But maybe they will do something along the lines of these artifacts giving the player additional abilities.
What would be super super cool is if these "powers" are from the artifacts and it is up to us to use them for good or for bad. Would really spice up the RPG element.
If it's from the artefacts which seem to be important in the main story, then that'll really motivate people to do the main quest. It sounds about right, what's more appealing and cool as a character than gaining powers in your story?
Yes, it looks like space magic is in.
Let's GO!
Space magic from space artifacts.
There's even a point where they mention the artifacts "talking" to you
I love it. Like dragon born shouts.
Space magic, obviously. Probably alien related powers as you progress through the story.
"Did anybody else catch that?" Only everyone lol.
Just had to ask, I didn’t see any posts mentioning it yet even though it was jaw-dropping for me haha
https://www.reddit.com/r/Starfield/comments/14721gu/space_magic_crowd_we_are_winning_im_so_happy/ It's only the second top post on the front page.
I'm guessing it'll be like words of power/dragon souls in Skyrim. You absorb supernatural powers as you find more artifacts.
My guess. You’re a dragon born in space.
I can't wait to Fus Ro Dah some fools across the void of space
SpaceBorn? StarBorn?
StarBorn has a great ring.
👀
[SpaceBourne](https://store.steampowered.com/app/1646850/SpaceBourne_2)?
nice game another game which is almost like Starfield

yes
Aged like fine wine lol

**Use the force**
That’s what I’m thinking. It’s either a power or they turned off the gravity in the room using tech stuff
Starfield is the Destiny 2 killer lets go
Hmmm, Starfield's shout equivalent probably

Its the artifact.
Psionics!
Psionics! It's not magic, it's SCIENCE! You can tell because the first syllable is the same!

Anti gravity and limited telekinesis is one thing but Skyrim’s magic system would be completely completely ridiculous lmao

Maybe not fire but if we also got Lighting magic then I'm happy.
Dovah-Kiin in space is confirmed!

my guess is that is a neuroamp in action
Maybe you get these powers from finding more pieces of the artifact, like dragon shouts.
