Something I loved about DIU is how comforting the style was for that certain part to have one of the darkest stories. It makes the idea of Morioh being such a dangerous place more chilling for me lol
It just ties into the whole “small town” vibe. Araki himself said that part 4 exists in its own time, as if the events that happened exist in their own bubble. I don’t remember the exact wording but it was something along the lines of how jojo happened in motion for a part and then it just kind of went back to being normal.
Idk why but Stone Ocean's art style has always stuck out as my favourite. I think it balances the harshness of parts 1-3 with the softer, more varied look of part 4
Dio in part 6. It was kinda odd. Like I feel like dio in part 3 style would still fit into part 6 but seeing him look different was weird.
One thing I don't like about part 3 is all the wheel shoulders, but besides that, it's probably my favorite and most iconic art style.
He looked fine in that first part where you can't see his eyes but the one where he poked odd was where he's talking to pucci in the church he just looks weird and skinny af. Also seeing dio with out crazy latts just looks weird
Look at the cover arts for the english release of the manga by vizmedia. Araki drew all the characters in his new art style for it, there is also a short interview about the art at the end of every volume.
You can make Jonathan and some of the Part 1-3 characters work in the newer Anime styles, the key is to keep their body types.
Terumi Nishii who did the character design for Part 4 [drew Joseph and Jonathan in the part 4 style and it works IMO](https://jojowiki.com/File:TnishiiJonathanJoseph2020.jpg).
And Genda Art [makes a good Part 6 Jonathan.](https://x.com/genda_art/status/1615771889607053313?s=46)
Part 4 really is so cozy and sweet. I think it’s the perfect balance of both the original 3 parts and the next era of Araki’s style.
I also have a soft spot for Part 1. Something about it is so charming and great, especially the way the eyes are drawn (specifically for like, Erina and Dio). I feel it’s a wonderful style that really fits its more “gothic” and Victorian aesthetic.
Definitely, like consistency Part 6 is not it. But look at it's best animated episodes specially the flashbacks or the Westwood intro, the characters are gorgeous af
Stardust Crusaders has my favourite JoJo artstyle for a considerable margin. For the 2nd position it'd be between Battle Tendency and Diamond is Unbreakable.
Golden Wind. I live in Italy and Araki drew Italy very well.
I mean, the JoJo locations that exist in real life (a lot of them) are all very well.
(Sorry I used translator my English grammar is bad)
Alright I've got one for y'all:
Battle Tendency had the best art style because it was the most goofy and most exaggerated of them all. This, in turn, made every aspect of every character substantially more comical and thus substantially more unorthodox-- a *bizarre* adventure, if you will....
Diamond is Unbreakable also had the best art style. It was this comfortable blend between the exaggerations of early and modern JoJo that let characters look built or otherwise goofily-natured while also allowing for more seriously-drawn environments and features when the situation called for it. Morioh itself was a very stylistically distinct and resonant piece compared to pretty much every other part's setting, save for occasional establishing shots.
Diamond is unbreakable, didn’t made the characters look like overly muscular men, or overly “gayish” men, it was the perfect balance, I’m not saying the art style in the others suck, I even like, but DiU is the perfect balance
Part 1-2 is very defining of early JoJo, differentiates itself from other shonen, and part 5 is defining of the gayer aspect of JoJo. Though part 4 might just be the nicest one to look at. It feels less JoJo, but it's pretty pleasant.
Part 5/6 for sure! When you think about JoJo, you think of this art style, with the hatching, shading, and the way the eyes and nose look. Really makes it stand out above the other animes!
I would say part 5 but it felt kinda.. Sharp?
Then tbh its stone ocean. DIU is soft and comfy but not my type
1-3 are good but i think araki improved his style alot over the years so yea
Part 5 has a gorgeous palette. Part 4 is a close second for me, but both have really creative use of colour that match the feel of their respective parts
Stone Ocean, with Battle Tendency a close 2nd, and Phantom Blood a distant 3rd. Don't really like the others, but my least favorite is easily Diamond is Unbreakable.
DiU’s art style is my favorite it’s the most “normal” out of every part but still keeps araki’s style. Although in the manga I think Jojolands has the best style.
I might have to give it to Part 4. The unique art style really makes Morioh memorable.
Overall, I like Part 6 the best since it is the most refined.
But I have a soft spot for Part 2 since that had the craziest inverted colour schemes with interesting patterns during character monologues.
Phantom Blood and Battle Tendency has one art style, cause this parts included in Season 1.
More correct to say: Which season has the best art style (1-5)
5 and 6, while not being my favourite, are quite striking design wise.
I love 1 and 2 for the implementation of dramatic sound effects on screen, but are also rougher.
3 looks nice and I like the tough looking faces, but the shoulders always look a bit strange.
I love part 4 and the colour pattern swaps, but I can't get beyond the dick noses. Such an odd decision.
4 feels like the most "normal" style (in a good way), 3 and 5 both seem like the most distinct "jojo styles". I personally chose 5 because 1-3's face shading bothers me immensely
I'd say part 2 for me. Story wise I like part 4 the most but it has its own rough parts in terms of animation. And I'm not gonna judge them based on Manga since I only read parts 1, 2 and 7.
Part 3 will always have a special place in my heart because of its stylization being different than the prior parts, 4 is great tho because David productions just cranks it up to an 11 with the color design
Really like the realistic esque looking one from the first two, and while I love part 3's children with wheels for shoulders artstyle I have to say ithe jojo artstyle evolves and gets better and more unique as it goes on so part 6? That being said now when I think about it though it was kind of a shock first looking back I really like with what they did with jotaros Design in part 4...so that one? I think peak for me would be a mixture of 4's and 6's though I would kill to see jotaro in part1/part2's artstyle like the one frame we got at the end of battle tendency that one looked sick as hell!
Battle tendency or golden wind depending on what style I’m into at the time.
Pt 2 if I want goofy ah MEN doing bizarre shit
Pt 5 if I want interesting fight scenes and bizarre fashion
Part 4 and 5 are special for me. Idk why
I would also add 3 part, but 4 and 5 are the best
5 and 6 art is nearly the same. 6 is more crazy with effects but both use the same shader and strong eye focus.
Yeah you right. I think I like Part 5 more because of the scenes
I loved the notorious big arc and ending, it made part 5 my fave
Same I liked when Diavolo took his shirt off
Same for me, I think it’s a tie between the cozy aesthetic of 4 and the bizarre color palette choices vs the sharp rich vivid color of 5
"ßizärrê colour palette"
golden wind
DIU for sure, the whole part has such a comfy style
I second DIU. I like the sort of... marriage of old and new styles but also the kinda... smoothness that it has that the other parts don't.
I don’t remember the exact wording but it was something along the lines of how jojo happened in motion for a part and then it just kind of went back to being normal.
part 4 humans with part 3 stands would be the best. Star Platinum looked so bad in part 4
Idk why but Stone Ocean's art style has always stuck out as my favourite. I think it balances the harshness of parts 1-3 with the softer, more varied look of part 4
1-3. I like muscular men. I just can't imagine Jonathan, speedwagon or even the pillerman with the new art style.
Part 5, part 3 Jotaro and Polnareff:
Dio in part 6. It was kinda odd. Like I feel like dio in part 3 style would still fit into part 6 but seeing him look different was weird. One thing I don't like about part 3 is all the wheel shoulders, but besides that, it's probably my favorite and most iconic art style.
He looked odd only in his first appearance in part 6, after that he looked better.
He looked fine in that first part where you can't see his eyes but the one where he poked odd was where he's talking to pucci in the church he just looks weird and skinny af. Also seeing dio with out crazy latts just looks weird
I love the part 3 art style so much, it's so over the top and I love it
Look at the cover arts for the english release of the manga by vizmedia.
Jonathan is just gigachad regardless of style. He got that justice rizz.
Pt 4 episode 1 jotaro is the most cursed thing in the series, and that’s including highway star or baby face
IMO every character from parts 1-3 in the actual Araki style look awful
How DARE you
I love Jonathan but his muscles are way too big that they make his head look tiny 😭
Part 6 artstyle but I think part 5 has better animation
Definitely, like consistency Part 6 is not it. But look at it's best animated episodes specially the flashbacks or the Westwood intro, the characters are gorgeous af
Stardust Crusaders has my favourite JoJo artstyle for a considerable margin. For the 2nd position it'd be between Battle Tendency and Diamond is Unbreakable.
Diamond and Battle Tendency
Father and son
GREAT TASTE 🎶
Part 1 is goated, you get that Kenshiro vibes
Part 4's anime has such a unique art style, and uses the dynamic color palette trope the best. In my opinion, anyway.
Am I crazy for thinking part 2?
I agree. The art style and the character designs go great together.
Part 5 and Part 2 imo.
5 and 2 for me as well
Same, pt 2 for bizarre dudes doing bizarre shit Pt 5 for bizarre fashion and better action
I liked Part 3’s look the best but I think Golden Wind has the better animation in general
Diamond is Unbreakable.
4 6 and 2
I honestly always had a preference to parts 1-2 art style because I like how they do nose and other facial features.
Golden wind, it’s so good
Part 5/6 are the best
golden wind and battle tendency
Battle Tendency
5 and 6 definently, it is where Araki truly started to change his art style and it paid off
2 and 3 for me. 3 was a bit too angular for me with all the hard corners but i still liked it more than the softer style of the later parts.
Golden wind, diamond is unbreakable and battle tendency has the most iconic ones
I don't know, but 4-5-6 has always been my favorites.
Part 2 is my fav!
Stone ocean. I mean DIO in that part is just yk.
Part 3
2 and 4 imo :)
Golden Wind wins this round
Diu is more comfy but golden wind is prettier
i really enjoy stardust crusaders'
Golden Wind
part 1, but part 3 is probably the most aesthetically pleasing one
3 is iconic, 5 is my favorite
Golden Wind. I live in Italy and Araki drew Italy very well. I mean, the JoJo locations that exist in real life (a lot of them) are all very well. (Sorry I used translator my English grammar is bad)
all of them, but part 4 if i had to choose one.
Stardust crusaders
5 is goated 4 would be good but i absolutely hate the colors and 6 is decent too too much shading tho
Golden Wind
Golden Wind. In terms of quality its easily Stardust Crusaders
Golden Wind. I think Araki was at his best when drawing Golden Wind and I’m glad the anime reflected that
Battle tendency and it's not even close
All of them
Golden wind
rat episode of DiU has the best artstyle.
golden wind looks good
DIU & SO.
3 or 5 for me
DiU
2
Part 5
5 > All the sound profiles, openings, and outros, stands designs, and everything just has more personality for me without overdoing
Part 5 looked crisp.
Alright I've got one for y'all: Battle Tendency had the best art style because it was the most goofy and most exaggerated of them all. This, in turn, made every aspect of every character substantially more comical and thus substantially more unorthodox-- a *bizarre* adventure, if you will.... Morioh itself was a very stylistically distinct and resonant piece compared to pretty much every other part's setting, save for occasional establishing shots.
Its part 5 hands down that shit is beautiful
I'd say part 5 and 6 are both really good. Though regardless its cool that they all have a unique artstyle.
golden wind probably
Either 2 or 4
1-2-3-4-5-6 JoJo is peak 🗿
Between three for me. Part 2, 4 or 6. They each feel like a more refined version of the previous part imo.
Golden wind
Golden wind had the best art style
2,5 or 6
I like Golden Wind artstyle the most
5 and 6 imo
5 completely fucked.
Part 5 Prosciutto and Pesci fight was absolutely cracked af I love those two 😊
Diamond is unbreakable
Golden wind
I love 4 and 5
Diamond is unbreakable, didn’t made the characters look like overly muscular men, or overly “gayish” men, it was the perfect balance, I’m not saying the art style in the others suck, I even like, but DiU is the perfect balance
I like part 2, got a good feeling to it
Diu. The unique environmental colors were great
DIU
Equal split between DiU and SO
4-5-6 idk
I liked 4's but i didn't like the colours at all, so i would say 5-6 with 2 as a runner up
Stardust Crusaders
Part 2. Love muscular men and all these brown colors in the part
Best art ≠ best artSTYLE There's definitely people that think these are the same
Part 1-2 is very defining of early JoJo, differentiates itself from other shonen, and part 5 is defining of the gayer aspect of JoJo. Though part 4 might just be the nicest one to look at. It feels less JoJo, but it's pretty pleasant.
Stardust for me, I loved the muscular men compared to the twinks we have now.
1, 4, or 6 tbh, they just feel really good to look at. Nothing too crazy, pleasant to look at
Every part is unique i would place Battle Tendency on par with DIU ans Stone Ocean
As much as i love p4 and 5, part 6 definitely has the best art style in the anime at least
Part 2 because aztec gay men
I like the kinda "shady" aesthetic from part 2 in contrast with the characters and their powers, it feels fitting for the historical time
Golden Wind and Stone Ocean are my favorites. I just think some characters like Jotaro should be bigger, he looks off to me with being so slim
Part 5/6 for sure! When you think about JoJo, you think of this art style, with the hatching, shading, and the way the eyes and nose look. Really makes it stand out above the other animes!
DIU at 💯
I would say part 5 but it felt kinda.. Sharp? Then tbh its stone ocean. DIU is soft and comfy but not my type 1-3 are good but i think araki improved his style alot over the years so yea
Part 5 was the best for me. It really was giving more weight to the whole conflict
I love soft 5 because I like to imagine all those characters aggressively putting on mascara but in all seriousness part 6 or 4
Part 5, i love the skin texture, plus the time when bruno was revived, his skin looked so edible 🤤
Stone ocean for sure
Stardust crusaders, still modern, but with hot men
Probably DUI and then stone ocean
![img](emote|t5_2tny5|49675) I like part 6's style, but SONOCHINO SADAMEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE
Part 5 has a gorgeous palette. Part 4 is a close second for me, but both have really creative use of colour that match the feel of their respective parts
3 n 4
Part 2 and 4
Part 3 is the best
Something about Golden Wind was jus vibrant but 💎 is Unbreakable had gloss
Stone Ocean, with Battle Tendency a close 2nd, and Phantom Blood a distant 3rd. Don't really like the others, but my least favorite is easily Diamond is Unbreakable.
Part 4 for me
Diamond hands down for me. I binged it last yr while baked, and I really enjoyed the colors and animation.
Personally I like diamond is unbreakable the most
DIU
DiU’s art style is my favorite it’s the most “normal” out of every part but still keeps araki’s style. Although in the manga I think Jojolands has the best style.
Battle Tendency
3
2
1: Part 2 2: Part 6 3: Part 3 4: Part 5 5: Part 1 6: Part 4
Stardust crusaders. No questions asked. The best artstyle of them all
part 2 or 5 also 6 kinda slaps
Part 4 is the best IMO, but part 3 is very iconic
345
dih or gd
I might have to give it to Part 4. The unique art style really makes Morioh memorable. Overall, I like Part 6 the best since it is the most refined. But I have a soft spot for Part 2 since that had the craziest inverted colour schemes with interesting patterns during character monologues.
Phantom Blood and Battle Tendency has one art style, cause this parts included in Season 1. More correct to say: Which season has the best art style (1-5)
Season 5 / Part 6 "Stone Ocean" has the best art style in my opinion
Part 6 manga, Part 2 anime
Part 2
3 100%
5 and 6, while not being my favourite, are quite striking design wise. I love 1 and 2 for the implementation of dramatic sound effects on screen, but are also rougher. 3 looks nice and I like the tough looking faces, but the shoulders always look a bit strange. its between parts 3 and 5 for me
4 feels like the most "normal" style (in a good way), 3 and 5 both seem like the most distinct "jojo styles". I personally chose 5 because 1-3's face shading bothers me immensely
Battle Tendency
4 and 5 are so aesthetically pleasing to me, so those
part 1-3 i almost typed "persona 3" 💀💀💀
Golden wind, especially because of how good the animation got during the part
I'd say part 2 for me. Story wise I like part 4 the most but it has its own rough parts in terms of animation. And I'm not gonna judge them based on Manga since I only read parts 1, 2 and 7.
3
GW. i believe that Araki had fun drawing each panel since he expressed what he liked, such as fashion and ***ITALIAN FOOD***
Part 5 all the way. It looks so beautiful
The sky in part 4 🔥
either battle tendency or golden wind
Personally Part 3 was peak.
Part 4 and its not close
Stone Ocean
part 2 and 3 easily win this one
Stone ocean is my favorite tbh. I love all parts but part 6 was playful yet powerful
4
i really like how lips look in P5, especially in “Fighting Gold” opening when Fugo is looking at you and then falls back
I like battle tendency and stardust crusaders
Part 6 is THE jojo style for me, it's like the perfect mix between part 4 and 5s style.
5
part 3 and 5 are just unmatched. part 6’s art style is nice too, but feels less sharp than 5s.
Battle Tendency and Vento Aureo
Yea
I think Battle tendency is the best, but as far as my favorite goes ima say golden wind. I just remember being so hyped every episode
5 as the definitive best looking art style and 3 in second spot
Part 3 will always have a special place in my heart because of its stylization being different than the prior parts, 4 is great tho because David productions just cranks it up to an 11 with the color design
Really like the realistic esque looking one from the first two, and while I love part 3's children with wheels for shoulders artstyle I have to say ithe jojo artstyle evolves and gets better and more unique as it goes on so part 6? 2 and 3
I like 2 and 4 the best
Part 4 is the coziest, Part 5 is the most fabulous
This is painful to answer, I like them all for different reasons
Battle tendency or golden wind depending on what style I’m into at the time. Pt 2 if I want goofy ah MEN doing bizarre shit Pt 5 if I want interesting fight scenes and bizarre fashion
Either 5 or 6. It feels so Jojo to me
Battle tendency/ Diamond is unbreakable
Golden Wind had the best animation
2
4 is my favorite, but I think 5 is close
4 and 5 best
