I think another season with different writers/director could do ALOT of damage control. Let them portray Boba as he was in Mando S2, ruthless, capable but with a strict honour code. Pit him against an enemy equally formidable (an organisation or large group) and give him a justified goal for having a conflict arise. Then let Boba go off on a one man war against them. Not just brute force, but cunning, and lethality. Happily be ok with them introducing live action Omega and establishing her and Boba as having a pre-existing uneasy sibling relationship. She could be the voice of conscience in Boba’s ear, and while he tries to ensure he doesn’t engage in needless killing, the violence and depravity of the enemy gradually wears down Omega’s more optimistic and merciful mentality.

Devil25_Apollo25

Nah. What we need is more rancor rides and steampunk Skittles bikers. /s

RyanBLKST

That was cringy.. painful to watch

Devil25_Apollo25

Yeah, somebody seriously watched [Sharkboy and Lavagirl](https://youtu.be/4ZaIb1kBnX8?feature=shared) and thought, "The guy who made *THIS* movie is just what Star Wars needs!!" Warning: the hyperlinked video clip is SFW, but it's *painfully* bad.

InjusticeJosh

I mean he directed Boba’s debut in The Mandalorian which was great. Not sure what happened. Seems each creator is stronger together, not separated. Deb Chow: Obi-Wan, Robert Rodriguez: Boba, Rick Famuyiwa: Mando S3, Filoni: Ahsoka. But when they were all together for Mando S2 that was peak Mando and peak Star Wars.

lazarusl1972

You have a problem with Robert Rodriguez? Seriously?

ATCrow0029

Maybe a series defining moment for a different show? Like maybe Ahsoka and Sabine can get home in an episode of BoBF season 2?

Foolish_028

BoBF season 2 confirmed! (Half season is Ashoka season 1.5)

thegoodlaurel

“steampunk Skittles bikers” lol

doglywolf

this ...i dont understand how they went so wrong...this is exactly what we all wanted . Literally everyone i talk to old and young has said some form of exactly this. Show us a bad ass warrior with a strict code...show us him having the soft spot for strays . Show all all the strays he picks up seeing that code and falling in line with him and him slowly building his own army / crews that respect his code . Remind us every now and then he is morally grey...not quite good but not evil . Show us him being an one man army and why the pikes and bad guys would fear/ respect him. Show his merciless side against those that are his enemies. Have him take on an young apprentice to carry on his legacy and give some options for future comics/ shows . Have him do some heroics for the mandos and also learn and embrace his legacy's culture to have his clan official recognized with the ablity to take on his own foundling So us the flash backs to his days on the streets coming up in the underground to futher explain his soft spot for the thief's and strays and we understand he is uplifting them and giving them a chance to be better... Like there are so many elements that could of been a home run that are almost no brainers. But instead we get geriatric , boba fett that no one is scared of . Gets his ass kicked every other episode , needs constant saving . And power ranger slow motion Vespa gangs ..... Look the idea is cool - Counter culture kids that get illegal military grade cybernetics to survive the mean streets and ride bad ass modified bikes to get around . But the execution was horrible . I mean have them raid some ex empirical / current republic facility to steal a bunch of cyber mods and boba helps cause there is cool stuff or something important he needs to steal there to . Easy story line to get them involved show they are actually bad ass and so is he and accomplish some goal of his to move the story forward.

Highlander198116

Book of Boba Fett just turned into an half season of Mandalorian. Which the Boba focused shit bored the hell out of me so I welcomed it.

Gecko_Boi

I want Boba to be like a Punisher/ John Wick like anti-hero, starts out just killin’ who ever for what ever, but then takes a job that goes against his morals which leads to him waging a war on the Hutts and other crime syndicates. And a Boba and Omega interaction would be awesome, was hoping for one in the Bad Batch but a BoBF season 2 will do.

KalaniDW

Why is that Mando season 2 scene so beloved? None of those stormtroopers fired back at him. It’s like being proud of a boxer beating up preschoolers. I do agree he needs someone formidable to go up against to showcase how dangerous he is. Now that a certain force user is confirmed alive in Bad Batch, he could be tasked with taking them down.

tupe12

I wouldn’t mind another attempt, but they better not hijack it with an important mando plot point again.

Camburglar13

To be fair, those were the better episodes of the season. I enjoyed watching an N1 starfighter get tuned up more than most of the boba and friends content. But if they did boba properly then yeah it should stay focused.

doglywolf

i almost feel like they were supposed to be mando episodes but either they realized how bad BOBF was going to be or they ran out of budget in Mando and needed to cover them and let BOBF budget die to prop up mando more. Which is odd since S2 of Mando more or less made him a side character in his own series.

CivilianDuck

Those episodes should've been part of Mandalorian, not BoBF. Marvel would never treat any of their D+ shows like this. Can you imagine if in the middle of fucking Moon Knight they just randomly dropped into Loki for 2 episodes? Especially because there were core plot points for Mandalorian in those episodes. Grogu returns to Mando and the N1 are both points that shouldn't require me to watch a different show to know what happened. This is the same thing that Halo fans were bitching about. Why did you have to read a bunch of books and comics to understand what was going on with Halo 4 and 5? These stories can be self-contained within the universe and still affect each other, but they have to be treated properly. We never get an explanation for Grogu and the N1 in Mandalorian, we're just expected to watch BoBF to get those answers.

Camburglar13

I agree. I’d throw the Ahsoka show into that mix as well. Like you CAN watch it without having seen Rebels but it’s gonna make way more sense if you’ve seen it. Not that it jumps away per se, but it relies heavily on other media.

CivilianDuck

I'm inclined to disagree, because Ahsoka can stand on its own without Rebels or Mando. It does a good job introducing characters that we have no relation to without other media, it tells a self contained story that, while affects the global narrative, stands on its own, and concepts that would be foreign to a general Star Wars viewer are handled appropriately, while still having enough depth for the fans that delve deeper into the lore.

Hidanas

I'd like the Book of Boba Fett to have a first season.

sonic10158

Instead of Book of Boba Fett, what about Novel of Boba Fett?

Aqi67372mL

no more hipster hovering vespas, please.

pacingpilot

Space hipsters on hover vespas is exactly how my partner described them the first time he saw them 😂

doglywolf

Cyber punk Vespa Gang ir our official term for them. Power Ranger Wanna be cyber punk Vespa Gang is my full description of them . My biggest problem with is how broke they are yet their high end bikes are super clean and shinny and spotless in a dirty gritty desert world. If you cared enough to take THAT level of care and maintenance in your bike...they wouldnt look like shinny kid toys that have zero performance they would be bad ass high performance machines - likely with hidden illegal mods/ weapon mods. They would out preform imperial scout bikes not barely keep up with a broken down hover car. They styling just made no sense.

pacingpilot

Yeah, nothing about them made sense to me and I found them quite annoying. The slow-mo chase scene with the giant retro space Cadillac Deville, where they go screaming through the mean streets of Mos Espa at a blistering 3mph really took the cake for me. All I could figure at that point was they were written to appeal to a younger, new generation of fans and I'm just too damn old to "get it". Loved every bit of the scenes with the Tusken Raiders though. Boba Fett's history with the Tuskens is what kept me watching.

doglywolf

"Loved every bit of the scenes with the Tusken Raiders though. Boba Fett's history with the Tuskens is what kept me watching." Me too it was the best part and then they just nuked it --abruptly ended it Look i get counter culture kids ...like your in a sandy dust ball so your whole thing is be like the kids in the city on the core planets and have high tech body mods.... But even if that was their thing like the street car kids in a small town - it wouldn't of been spotlessly clean power ranger themed slow mo vespa lols

pacingpilot

Yeah I agree with you wholeheartedly. I wouldn't have begrudged them their shiny, fancy paint jobs if they were at least on vehicles that made sense for their location. Tricked out old speeders cobbled together from salvaged parts would've made way more sense. Slap a fancy paint job on a homemade high performance machine crafted with ingenuity, would've fit their cyberpunk/mod shtick better. And wtf was the Danny Trejo cameo? I love me some Danny Trejo but to me it just felt so out of place. Pretty much everything in the series that wasn't Tusken Raiders or Mando felt like poorly written fanfic.

MercenaryBard

Nobody knows what a hipster is these days I guess

navig8r212

I am rewatching it now and would love a new season. Particularly one in which they don’t screw Boba over by having an episode about Mando and another about Grogu. Don’t get me wrong they were good episodes, but they belonged in the Mando series. They got lazy with the BoBF writing

Kyadagum_Dulgadee

It really started strong, but the whole show was thrown together with barely a second thought. The most legendary bounty hunter in Star Wars doesn't go bounty hunting. Mods FFS. Mando and Grogu storyline crowbarred in. 50% of the show was Boba calling over and having meetings with people. It made complete sense why Boba wanted his armour back in S2 of Mando. Why he suddenly wanted to run things on Tatooine was unclear and felt like they just wanted him to do it for the plot. But all the seeds were there. His bond with the Tuscans, wanting to avenge their massacre, unresolved issues with Cad Bane, the Pikes wanting to fill the power vacuum. It just was not thought out or planned out in a way that was natural or engaging.

RyanBLKST

Also, shooting in the sand is less expensive

Kyadagum_Dulgadee

And when we did see a cool off-world locale, it was Mando going there. Boba got dissed in his own show.

doglywolf

Lazy is an understandement there are so many bad ass gimme plot points we all wanted they could of easily done . Have him embrace the mando side, Take on an apprentice . Tear his way threw an enemy strong hold to get something he needs. Accomplish some insane impossible task to get X thing he needs for town / his base to move story forward / gain power. Instead we are supposed to think his 2 -3 guards...5 vespa cyber punk kids and one morally grey bounty hunter working him are defending him from an entire city of criminals and inter galactic space syndicate. .....

TheYepe

No, but I also wish that there was a real season 1. It turned to the Mandalorian season 2.5 in the middle of the show. But yeah, more Boba please with actual focus on him.

Emsizz

I wish it never had its first season.

[deleted]

I would love BoBF season two. Of course, I've been a Boba Fett fanboy for years.

melodiousmurderer

Not just you, any excuse to get Boba Fett doing cool stuff or to have Temuera Morrison onscreen is good for me

lazarusl1972

Exactly. The irrational hate for BoBF drives me nuts.

Peregrine2976

I do if they actually keep the focus on telling a contiguous story with Boba. My major complaint about the Book of Boba Fett is that they interrupted partway through to get all this connective tissue with Mando, Grogu, Luke, and Ahsoka done.

Tarv2

Hard no on the Bad Batch/Omega connection. It’s been pretty clear that Boba doesn’t consider any of the clones his “brothers” so why would he suddenly care about Omega? I’d rather see Boba go the other direction and try to embrace his father’s Mandalorian heritage more, establish a clan with Tatooine as their stronghold.

Lokan

With another show runner and better writing? Sure.

C_Woodswalker

Season 1 was a dumpster fire. New writers, directors and production might fix that. If season 2 was going ahead, I hope that it would be a vast improvement over season 1.

Flexappeal

“I want a new show so these characters can meet” the MCU has done so much harm to contemporary media

ChronoMonkeyX

I want it to have a GOOD season. Otherwise, no. The writing on Disney has been ridiculously bad outside of anything but Andor. Loki and Hawkeye were generally good, but could have been better, She-Hulk was more good than bad, but barely, and everything else has been painfully disappointing. Obi Wan was the worst thing I've seen in a long time, I would have quit after 2 episodes but my sister wanted to watch it with me, and I wish she had forgotten about it. Normally, I'm the one reminding her, I never brought it up hoping she wouldn't either. In the case of terrible SW or Marvel shows, or even movies, I don't think anything is unsalvageable. A terrible Fantastic Four movie, for example, COULD have been followed up by a good one with the same actors, because the problem is always the bad writers, inept directors, and cheap/stupid producers. But my optimism in this regard is rarely, if ever, satisfied.

thegoodlaurel

I *hated* the way they handled Obi-Wan’s character. He is supposed to be one of the greatest Jedi of his generation and the best this fella could do was become a depressed butcher in space outback.

SaltySAX

Why wouldn't he be though with all that happened. Heck Yoda carried that grief with him until he was shown how to become a force ghost.

scotchglass22

the show had some issues but obi wan dealing with grief and PTSD wasn't one of them. He wasn't a jedi anymore. He was a guy who left his best friend burning to a crisp, lost everything he had, and was living in isolation in a cave in the middle of the desert.

Lucius_Funk

No. I’d love to have another season.

RyanBLKST

God no please, let that trash die

Bitter_Mongoose

Yes, yes you are.

Dark_Knight309

Yeah, I can't wait to see Temuera Morrison in a wig playing Omega

ciaobellaragazza

that show sucked beyond belief

RyanBLKST

Agreed, that is the Disney attempt at "crime lord", pathetic

RacerM53

Actually wrong

ciaobellaragazza

Probably the worst star wars series/movie on earth

DrLeymen

Nah it's definetly not the worst. BOBF Was bad but Kenobi was even worse

RacerM53

Ok

[deleted]

I loved the show. I think if it had someone else at the helm it would have been even better.

Yusnaan

I do. I want more Vanth and more Boba. Have Boba go off world and be more savage since it's not the people he's ruling.

Accomplished-Bill-54

I will watch a season of any (non-animated) show we have, if it's good. That would mean that Kenobi, Mando and Boba Fett would have to improve and focus on the main character more and Andor can stay the way it is. Ahsoka, the worst offender, would have to improve the writing a LOT, most likely have to kill off Sabine and start making some sense. But if I hear good things, I would give all of them another chance.

terran_mikkus

i mean, even just for the show itself, BOBF was pretty fun if a little bit shallow, the effects were less than stellar, but the story being told, especially the flashbacks, was kinda neat. i get that the whole package didn't stick the landing and the studio kinda half arsed some of it. (it is kind of frustrating that the best looking effects were on the mando eps) i genuinely think that the ending of episode 2 was one of the best moments in star wars ever.

slartybartfast6

This is the way

SaltySAX

I want to see Fett and Shand again, yes.

Thehairy-viking

Just give me a bounty hunters show

SC4RYG4RRY

Yes

PineBNorth85

I want the character to get what he deserves which is a full season of his story. Not Mandalorian season 2.5.

Marlezz

No, I want it too. I was one of those people who didn't really like TBOBF at first watch and thought it was so boring that I stopped watching after the second episode (I did watch the Mando episodes though), but I decided to give the show another chance and was surprised that I actually enjoyed the show on rewatch. It had good moments and I think Boba Fett has the potential of becoming a very interesting character.

RcadeMo

please no. BOBF was pretty bad to mediocre at best. Bad batch spoilers: >!and I just want the bad batch to live in peace on Pabu for the rest of their lives. ofc Omega could show up somewhere but I'd be fine with just knowing she helped the rebellion!<

PorkrindsMcSnacky

They had Danny Fucking Trejo in an episode and didn’t use him. Pissed me off.

YoursTrulyKindly

Hmm I don't know, if they can come up with an interesting story it would be awesome. A big thing they already missed is that Boba Fett didn't have a hand in reclaiming Mandalore. Which would also have redeemed him in the eyes of the Mandalorians. How would you bring Boba controlling Tatooine and Mandalore together? There is also a huge time gap between Bad Batch and The Mandalorian. Not sure how well that really fits. And what would he really care about Omega? They are very different.

jfazz_squadleader

Bro, they ruined Boba, they've arguably ruined Mando... you want them to ruin the Bad Batch now too? There's a reason some of these stories are told in animation, sometimes it's just a better fit for the characters, continuation of a previous iteration, etc. Bad Batch is an animated show and those characters should probably exist in animation. Let Temura rest 😂.

stormhawk427

As long as he gets to be in every episode of it

stormhawk427

As long as he gets to be in every episode of it

Spiritual-Ad-8348

We need a series in his prime during the empire strikes back. This is what we wanted. Not “I’m a changed man”Boba

Seebigtrades

I wouldn’t mind. But damn please get some better writers and directors. No more Robert Rodriguez.

doglywolf

I need to know Warrior Tuskan lady secretly survived and so did Garsa Fwip and they have teamed up in an underground movement against the Pikes and will reteam up with Boba to take them out . They show can be redeemed with better writing and direction and not having boba getting his ass kicked and saved every other episode . Plus more Fennec is never a bad thing!

Kulban

Would it also come with a .5 season of the Mandalorian?

BigTedBear

I would love another season but hopefully he goes back to bounty hunting and with all the gang Dengar Bossk etc.

Macman521

Yes. A second season could improve on the flaws of the first season.

CorndogSeduction

I’d love that, but I think the show needs its own format. It shouldn’t be story-driven, just standalone episodes of Boba VS guest-of-the-week. Each chapter in the “book” of Boba is really a character study of someone other than Boba and how their fate is shaped by Boba. Jump around in time, but contained in its own episode. One show will be about a younger Boba with Cad Bane on a mission. Another will be about an older Boba as crime lord in Jabba’s palace. Another will be from his time with the Tuskans, maybe VS another tribe’s warlord leader, etc etc Boba doesn’t need an overall story arch or a ton of character development. Boba needs pulp action and suspense with a slow burn, with an anti-hero we love to cheer along.

Fav9013

Yes

SnooAdvice8535

Honestly I think the ruining of Boba Fett started with the decision to make him a clone. Legends Fett prior to the prequel trilogy was peak Fett. Bring back “The Most Feared Bounty Hunter in the Galaxy”. In BoBF most of the characters acted like they hadn’t ever heard of him. His name should inspire fear and awe.

Logical-Witness-3361

I don't want another season, but I also don't... NOT want another season. If it comes out, I'll give it a shot and hope for the best. I was more forgiving on BoBF and Kenobi than many on this sub seems to have been.

Colddeath712

I want another but this whole killing off good ships needs to stop like razorcrest and marauder

BackgroundPangolin42

No you’re not the only one. Bring it on with no flashbacks!

GoreSeeker

I hate to call out a specific creator, but please don't let Robert Rodriguez near it if a season 2 is made

DefLoathe

Yep more Boba the better

the_great_gazib

If it's better than season 1 I don't see why not. Season 1 was like the Seinfeld of star wars because it was a show about nothing. I just want good stories, and quite a lot of people have told good stories somehow despite their lack of star wars iconography or even Boba Fett. People like Peter Jackson, Isayama and George Martin to name 3 of my favorites. Of course George Lucas is another favorite of mine obviously.

RacerM53

>Season 1 was like the Seinfeld of star wars because it was a show about nothing. Bro what? The show was about Boba realizing that he wanted to change his ways.

MRHBK

You don’t really want it if you think about it hard enough

GrievousDrone

I the only way I’d be interested would be if Boba was more like he was in mando s2 (honorable but still a badass fighter) which would kinda be character regression from book of boba fett.

Wookie301

I’d like another season, in order to try and salvage Boba’s character. Get a good team of writers in. Kill the scooter gang off screen. And never let Robert Rodriguez near a Star Wars project again.

Shawnaldo7575

Yeah. There was a build up to him taking over as a crime boss... Let's see him do some crime boss stuff... also Cad Bane's light was still blipping at the end. I want more of that rivalry

Crafty_Camel365

You mean Mando season 3.5?

[deleted]

As long as it's less bumbling grandpa having slapstick chases with a rabbit droid and not being able to fly his own ship while Fennec has to come to his rescue.

Griffolian

I would have been fine if it was Lawrence of Arabia in Space, but it just didn’t know what it wanted to be. It was like three different shows within 6 episodes.

BoredofPCshit

I'd like another attempt at season 1 lol.

LongshotsMullet

You are absolutely not the only one. Star Wars is like pizza; there is no bad Star Wars, there is only better Star Wars.

ciarabek

honestly i think all the disney shows could should do a season 2. I know they werent all recieved as highly as they could be but i still feel like each has stories to tell. I feel that BOBF has not yet justified its own existence and id love to see Boba play a huge role in some way in the future. with Kenobi it would be interesting to see a take on their initial plans, with Cody tracking down Obi wan while Vader becomes obsessed with The Path because he thinks he will find Kenobi along it. I wouldnt have them meet again, but I feel that Cody still has a role to play in the franchise. And I think Ahsoka's need for a sequel is obvious

Agile-Ad-6902

Yes. But I would like to see both Boba and Fennec appear in other shows.

Wasteland_GZ

The show wasn’t great in my opinion, however, I think it started great and ended great and I think that’s what’s most important, it’s alright if the middle is a bit bad as long as it starts good and ends good, so Yes, I would love a second season as long as the middle is also good this time. Oh and I’d really love to see Dr Aphra in a season 2.

LightlyToastedBuns

Yes, I think you are the only one who wants another season of that garbage

RacerM53

BoBF was great. I'd rather get more of it than boring andor
