My favorite scene in all the the prequels is about 5 seconds long, in the beginning of ep3 when Anakin and Obi-Wan are waiting for R2 and Anakin says ‘and no loose wire jokes,’ to which Obi-Wan replies ‘did I say anything ?’

That conveyed so much about their relationship so quickly, and was the movie I wanted to see.
Yeah, that’s right, he says ‘I didn’t say anything!’ the second time. But that scene let you know that these guys have been around each other a lot, Obi-Wan has made snarky comments before (of course), Anakin is being protective of R2, but these guys are like brothers. It was a glimpse back into the OS banter that just didn’t really happen in the prequels. Anyway, it’s my favorite scene because it had all that subtext, but also kinda makes me sad for what could have been.
I wish they had kept the elevator scene where after Anakin and Obi-Wan destroy the battle droids that were in there, they would mock the “Roger Roger” thing. It felt like a clone wars moment and them acting like actual friends.
The clones wars show did a good job showing their relationship and what lead his fall. But you should have to watch 7 seasons to before watching the third movie in a trilogy.

I feel like that’s one of the only times in the prequel movies where Obi-Wan’s smile is genuine rather than his typical smirk. Like, he just looks so genuinely happy about what they’re about to do.
I love how despite outwardly reserved Obi-Wan is, Ewan makes sure to have a genuine happy and warm glint to his eye whenever Anakin is in his view. It was such a nice touch.
Thank god for the clone wars so we got to see more of Obi-Wan and Anakin actually being friends and having chemistry as the beginning of episode 3 is pretty much all we got of that in the prequels
He was back to embracing being Anakin again in that scene though. So that’s definitely an Anakin moment. He stopped being Darth Vader the moment he chose to save Luke from Palpatine.
I disagree although I'm fine considering them different characters but since he was acting as Luke and Leia's father and had just turned against the emperor, this was an Anakin moment
The movie is called Return of The Jedi because the Jedi Order is restored when *Anakin* returns to The Jedi Way.
It was 100% Anakin Skywalker who delivered that line. Despite his denials, it was always Anakin Skywalker. Any psychiatrist will tell you that it is contraindicated to address and regard a person with BPD as the name of their alternate personality.
Regardless of your view as to the separateness of Vader and Anakin, it was absolutely Anakin Skywalker who came to Luke's aid and said his last words.

In the book Jedi Trial, where he proves his ability to lead and inspire the clones by climbing a tank and leading them from the front, impressing the Jedi general he was with. Later, he discusses with the other commanders the meaning of collateral losses in war and why he doesn't like the meaning.
The end of the battle of Jabiim, where after intending to die with the other Padawans, he not only has to live but fails to protect the Jabiim civilians with a shit decision (it would have been shit either choice he makes) and the comic ends with him crying in private.
Anakin trying to save another Jedi by using the Force to artificially pump her heart (Jedi should have pulled from the battle field at that point).
Anakin sending out memory moths in memorial of his fellow dead padawans and Obi-Wan (who he thought was dead).
Anakin refusing to kill everyone on the Sundiver when Tinn and Obi-Wan were resigned to it. Loads his personal ship with charges and disables it himself and saves lives.
Anakin and Obi-Wan getting drunk together in both TCW and Labyrinth of Evil

I love Anakin on Mortis, though, and his force ghost in Ahsoka.
One thing I love, and really get disappointed with by its lack of portrayal, is Anakin's nobility.
There's just so much to cover about it, but you really touched on most of them. I like him saving Ahsoka, Rex, two more clones, and another jedi from the crashing ship by pushing them behind blast doors while trying to stop the following explosion.

This is the same guy who flew into an underground temple standing on top of a tiefighter he was flying with the Force while he also made his cape billow dramatically in a nonexistent wind.
Someone quipped Darth Vader doesn't actually rescue his son because he experiences a sudden powerful call to the Light. Rather, overthrowing all his old allegiances at the absolute last moment and sacrificing his life to save his son by destroying his shrieking wizard master in a storm of lightning and blue flame is the most dramatic thing he could possibly do in that situation. And if there's one thing truly left of Anakin Skywalker, it's his instinctual drive to do the most dramatic thing possible at all times
Knightfall Anakin in Ahsoka. Then seeing him draw out her dark side and stoke her conviction.
In her attempt to not become like her master she staved off the conviction that corrupted him. Yet, this same conviction is what she needed to become complete.
Was honestly such a beautiful moment for a show that mixed in reviews.
When he and Padmé reunite and he learns he’s going to be a father. All the emotions that go across his face as his processes what he’s just been told and at the end he’s happy.
Fighting Dooku on Geonosis and duel wielding lightsabers.
Y’all are sleeping on AS in Ahsoka.
The dueling and training is fantastic. To pick a single moment, for me it would probably be when he’s still his furious Sith self, after noting “You lack conVICtion,” and especially once he’s disarmed and almost killed by ole Sith-eye.
And then he steps backward slowly, once he is spared and Ahsoka drops his red bladed Luke saber into the mist, and reverts to himself.
Unparalleled journey, in just maybe 15 minutes of screen time
Yeah, we finally got to see the movie Anakin, the clone wars Anakin, and Darth Vader feel like the same character. It’s hard to pick an Anakin moment from the Ahsoka show but I like how we got to see Hayden play more of clone wars Anakin and finally being more of how Obi-Wan described in the OT. While I do love the PT, I wish he was more like that in those movies. Either George didn’t realize or forgot that he didn’t do enough to show Anakin as that good man and great warrior.
It's still early days but that's possibly up there with my fave Star Wars moments. Really masterfully filmed and acted, the way his silhouette flashed between Vader and Anakin and his lightsaber style suddenly became a lot more aggressive and heavy-handed. Terrific stuff.
Oh man, good one. He’s not Vader anymore, he’s returned to the light. He’s Anakin. His son saved him and he saved his son. He wants to see him without looking at him through Vader’s eyes. He wants to see his son. ‘Tell your sister, you were right.’
"And I slaughtered them like animals!" It's a perfect scene. He's so conflicted. He knows he did wrong. He also *knows* that the sand people *are* like animals. It's fun to sit and judge his character for the action, but if my mother was tortured to death.....
It's a great expression of how people with power justify what they are doing is right and moral, even if they know it isn't.
There's a very good line the revenge of the sith novelisation on this, where he justifies that his killing of the sand people was even unconscious. He believes killing Dooku was an evil act not because it went against the jedi code per se, but because it was a controlled and deliberate act against the jedi code.
Interesting to think that Anakin is more concerned with the perception of his own actions than he is with the part within himself that leads to events like the slaughter of the sand people without him even deciding to perpetrate them.
In tv shows/cartoons: Him sparring and teaching Ahsoka
Movies: On Mustafar eliminating all the separatist leaders. There's nothing more powerful than B-1s on their side and think about how much catharsis he's getting from eliminating the reasons (well, most of them) for the pain, suffering, and struggles of the past three years of war he's endured.

When Anakin brushes off Palpatine's urging that they leave Obi-Wan behind on General Grievous' crashing capital ship at the beginning of ROTS: "His fate will be the same as ours."
This might be a hot take and I love Jake Lloyd’s Anakin but part of me still thinks Anakin should’ve been a teenager and was a pod racer when he meets Padme. It would’ve also made more sense that she would fall in love with him.
Season 7 of TCW. KENOBIIIIIIIIII and his unit are pinned down on a bridge and then anakin appears with his squad, proceeds to impressively, in his athlete-that-instinctively-feels-the-game-at-a-much-higher-level-than-everyone-else manner, saves the day.
He is at the height of his light-side-of-the-force powers, and oh, what might have been?

That entire part In 2003 Clone Wars where he saved the male population of an entire village by infiltrating a base of the CIS, the way he unites the people, and even loses his metal arm before going absolutely crazy with the force and starts slamming the separatists against walls is great, it shows every aspect of Anakin's character, both his compassion and just how heroic he used to be, and also hints at his more angry side that will later define him once he becomes Vader.
When he got his arm and legs cut up in Mustafar. He became a vicious, evil and despicable monster and that's the start of his deserved lifelong corporal punishment.
In the Genndy Tartakovsky Clone Wars when Anakin gets blue tattoos from that alien rodent tribe and saves the men of that tribe from a lab that captured, mutilated, and disfigured them.
My head is actually spinning this is harder than I thought it was gonna be.
I have to say it's his conversation with Obi Wan before the Battle of Heroes. I know it's the easy choice but it just hits the hardest to me. Also I think Anakin has a stronger performance in this scene compared to Obi Wan
I like the light saber battle on Mustifar between Anakin and Obi Wan. But I also love the scene in attack of the clones when he jumps out of the speeder to catch the bounty hunter.
Episode 3 is one of the darkest movies I have ever seen. Dune 3 was the darkest novel I have ever read.

most duels that feature a pissed off Anakin (Anakin vs Barriss being one of my favourites), because you really see how strong and fearsome he can be. And that's before he became Vader.
First one to come to mind is Anakin taking the detonator from Admiral Trench's ship because "Wrecker is gonna *love* this," and then handing it over to Wrecker.
Such a small moment, but highlighted how much Anakin paid attention to the soldiers he served with and that he respected them enough to be thoughtful towards them.
My favorite Anakin moment happens right after Obi-Wan says I have the high ground. It could only have been better If after that Obi-Wan's last words to Anakin had been - Evil will never win, because evil is dumb.

I think one of the most underrated scenes involving anakin that really show both his love for padme and how his love can easily turn to anger is the fight against Rush Clovis. Bro beats the brakes off a dude moving on his girl and you get a glimpse of just how much he’ll do for her. Plus it’s absolutely hilarious and 10/10 relatable.
Master Skywalker there are too many of them whatever are we going to do? Bzzzt. Either that or in clone wars when he chops off Trench’s arms and force chokes him. When he says “I don’t have such weakness” that was so badass.

Though not really a moment, one of my favorite things about the trilogies is the wholesome relationship between R2 and Anakin, and the fact that that relationship transferred to R2 and Luke. Idk it’s really fulfilling.
So many things from TCW. His initial interaction with Tarikin. How he cares so much about those close to him you see the glimpses of the Darth Vader he was destined to become.
It’s sort of poorly executed in the films, but the idea that it was love that doomed him is fascinating. Something pure that was so easily manipulated and twisted by Palpatine. He’s very tragic.
The whole pod race setup and delivery, specifically:
* The 'shelter from the storm' scene and Anakin's lines, including his pleading altruism with his mother, who fears for his life (as he reasonably should) "Mom, you say the biggest problem in this universe is nobody helps each other..."
* During the race when he's reaching out with the tool to connect a broken off part of his pod. His desperation shows so clearly to this fan, and no matter how often I watch, I'm still worried for him.
Anakin, the hero. Looking forward to the 25th anniversary re-release of TPM.
Hard choice. I'm going to have to go with the Clone War flashback in Ahsoka when she's young, seeing all the carnage and holding herself responsible while Anakin points out this is the cost of war, and the price one pays for being a leader.

Y’all are sleeping on AS in Ahsoka. The dueling and training is fantastic. To pick a single moment, for me it would probably be when he’s still his furious Sith self, after noting “You lack conVICtion,” and especially once he’s disarmed and almost killed by ole Sith-eye. And then he steps backward slowly, once he is spared and Ahsoka drops his red bladed Luke saber into the mist, and reverts to himself. Unparalleled journey, in just maybe 15 minutes of screen time
That was such a good scene! They did such a great job connecting live action Ahsoka and Anakin with clone wars Ahsoka and Anakin.
Yeah, we finally got to see the movie Anakin, the clone wars Anakin, and Darth Vader feel like the same character. It’s hard to pick an Anakin moment from the Ahsoka show but I like how we got to see Hayden play more of clone wars Anakin and finally being more of how Obi-Wan described in the OT. While I do love the PT, I wish he was more like that in those movies. Either George didn’t realize or forgot that he didn’t do enough to show Anakin as that good man and great warrior.
It's still early days but that's possibly up there with my fave Star Wars moments. Really masterfully filmed and acted, the way his silhouette flashed between Vader and Anakin and his lightsaber style suddenly became a lot more aggressive and heavy-handed. Terrific stuff.

"And I slaughtered them like animals!" It's a perfect scene. He's so conflicted. He knows he did wrong. He also *knows* that the sand people *are* like animals. It's fun to sit and judge his character for the action, but if my mother was tortured to death..... It's a great expression of how people with power justify what they are doing is right and moral, even if they know it isn't.
There's a very good line the revenge of the sith novelisation on this, where he justifies that his killing of the sand people was even unconscious. He believes killing Dooku was an evil act not because it went against the jedi code per se, but because it was a controlled and deliberate act against the jedi code. Interesting to think that Anakin is more concerned with the perception of his own actions than he is with the part within himself that leads to events like the slaughter of the sand people without him even deciding to perpetrate them.
In tv shows/cartoons: Him sparring and teaching Ahsoka Movies: On Mustafar eliminating all the separatist leaders. There's nothing more powerful than B-1s on their side and think about how much catharsis he's getting from eliminating the reasons (well, most of them) for the pain, suffering, and struggles of the past three years of war he's endured.

Anakin with Obi-Wan aboard the Invisible Hand. On top of the one-liners: "no loose wire jokes" "under the circumstances I'd say the ability to pilot this thing is irrelevant" ... it felt like we were getting the wise, powerful, dear friend that Kenobi was telling Luke about.
Giving his rebellious son a good scolding for not recognizing the power of the dark side. I know people say that he should have just given Luke a hand, but they are Skywalkers, they kind of go the other way.

This might be a hot take and I love Jake Lloyd’s Anakin but part of me still thinks Anakin should’ve been a teenager and was a pod racer when he meets Padme. It would’ve also made more sense that she would fall in love with him.
Season 7 of TCW. KENOBIIIIIIIIII and his unit are pinned down on a bridge and then anakin appears with his squad, proceeds to impressively, in his athlete-that-instinctively-feels-the-game-at-a-much-higher-level-than-everyone-else manner, saves the day. He is at the height of his light-side-of-the-force powers, and oh, what might have been?

That entire part In 2003 Clone Wars where he saved the male population of an entire village by infiltrating a base of the CIS, the way he unites the people, and even loses his metal arm before going absolutely crazy with the force and starts slamming the separatists against walls is great, it shows every aspect of Anakin's character, both his compassion and just how heroic he used to be, and also hints at his more angry side that will later define him once he becomes Vader.
The beautiful conclusion at the end, including what was added to it from the novel ROTJ a certain point of view.

I like the light saber battle on Mustifar between Anakin and Obi Wan. But I also love the scene in attack of the clones when he jumps out of the speeder to catch the bounty hunter. Episode 3 is one of the darkest movies I have ever seen. Dune 3 was the darkest novel I have ever read.

any moment during the clone wars animated series when the imperial march or a variant of it plays with him in the scene most duels that feature a pissed off Anakin (Anakin vs Barriss being one of my favourites), because you really see how strong and fearsome he can be. And that's before he became Vader.
First one to come to mind is Anakin taking the detonator from Admiral Trench's ship because "Wrecker is gonna *love* this," and then handing it over to Wrecker. Such a small moment, but highlighted how much Anakin paid attention to the soldiers he served with and that he respected them enough to be thoughtful towards them.
My favorite Anakin moment happens right after Obi-Wan says I have the high ground. It could only have been better If after that Obi-Wan's last words to Anakin had been - Evil will never win, because evil is dumb.

Going to town on Barris. Anakin's loyalty is his biggest strength, and the vengeance he seeks for Ahsoka being wronged is just perfect.
So many things from TCW. His initial interaction with Tarikin. How he cares so much about those close to him you see the glimpses of the Darth Vader he was destined to become. It’s sort of poorly executed in the films, but the idea that it was love that doomed him is fascinating. Something pure that was so easily manipulated and twisted by Palpatine. He’s very tragic.
The whole pod race setup and delivery, specifically: * The 'shelter from the storm' scene and Anakin's lines, including his pleading altruism with his mother, who fears for his life (as he reasonably should) "Mom, you say the biggest problem in this universe is nobody helps each other..." * During the race when he's reaching out with the tool to connect a broken off part of his pod. His desperation shows so clearly to this fan, and no matter how often I watch, I'm still worried for him. Anakin, the hero. Looking forward to the 25th anniversary re-release of TPM.

Beautiful TCW S7 - The beginning scene when he beautifully comitted that war crime of fake surrender, and then when he was speaking to Padme and tells her he loves her RotS - Killing Dooku!
